Zombie Gunship Revenant AR Reviews

The first time I played this game I was awestruck, this is the first AR game I’ve ever played, and now I’m hooked. However, after many great missions this does get kind of dull fast NOT IN A BAD WAY THOUGH. More like I just wish there was more. I think it would be cool to see a layer of base building or tower defense, more ways to have a strategy rather than just point and shoot. Another idea I had is missions to on. Maybe use the AR abilities and make a mission where you have to “fly” over to an area and pick up some soldiers and then “fly” them to safety or a scavenging area. Lastly I think it would be cool to see a competitive mode to this. Imagine a mode where 2 players have to defend their base however one of the players is the zombies and another is humans. Each player could have a way of placing defenses and sending troops to the enemy base. (I’m not sure what the zombies would be flying) at the same time each player is actively defending their base. (Don’t make it a clash royal clone)

Side note: does this game support multiple devices? I have played on both my iPad and iPhone but the progress does not seem to be synced.

The auto cannon looks like a great and powerful weapon but in reality, it’s JUNK like I’m not even joking this thing can barely even take down a zombie. I’m not even talking about the boss zombies I’m talking about those default zombies. Please up the damage to a point where it’s at least worth having in your arsenal of weapons. Also I would love to see more weapons such as a Railgun or maybe different kind of rounds or ammo you can use like incendiary round that lights zombies on fire or maybe a explosive round that explodes on contact. An online mode would be cool too where you can face waves of zombies with Co op. These are just suggestions but thanks for reading them anyways.

First, the game is really fun, similar to the first one, but with AR which allows you to control the ship. Highly recommend it. The only issues I’ve run across deal with the weapons. First, the 40mm (?) cannon is useless. I’ve fired all rounds into groups of zombies and not a single one falls. This really needs to get fixed as it can greatly impact your ability on the later levels.

Second, I get that the devs earn money through IAPs, but these have an unusual price structure. You can get gold crates pretty easily, so the tactical is really the first level. Even then, I’ve gotten those before. However, if you need a boost and want to get a crate, you either have to watch a ton of videos (which works, but seems to be governed now) or spend $15. I did the video route and really didn’t get much. I’m not saying give stuff away, but a more realistic price-rewards structure would be good. I did download one of the apps I watched a video on, though.

Finally, what about some higher level drops once in a while? I have level 1-4 guns, but only ever get upgrades for the level 1. Since the cash doesn’t seem to matter, I’m trying to build it up, but it would be nice to get a surprise once in awhile. Plus, it would make me think about what I spend the cash on.

Again, great game, only real issue is the cannon and the drops. Get it!

The game is really fun to play. The frustrating thing is not being able to get the level 4 weapons in order to be successful in the 5th scenario. It’s impossible to do so since all of the lower level weapons don’t have much effect in the 5th scenario, especially when it’s difficult to upgrade the level 3 weapons. No one cares about level 1 weapons past the second scenario.
Also, it is frustrating that the only way to get gold coins is by watching ads or paying for it. It’s a waste of time having people watch ads for 15 gold coins when that time should be spent having fun playing the game. Plus the cost for the premium crate went from 3000 gold coins to 3300 gold coins in a matter of minutes??? When I started playing the game a few days ago it was 2400.
PLEASE MAKE IT EASIER TO GET SOME GOLD COINS INSTEAD OF ONLY RECEIVING CASH AFTER A BATTLE.

I uninstalled months ago because of issues that made this game largely unplayable. 1. I don’t use my camera to set up a playing area very often, and what’s sad is that works more often than when I choose not to use it. The inactive camera map is STILL loaded with bugs in the time I’ve been away from this game! The drifting problem is STILL an issue, the Invalid Location bug is STILL an issue, and to add to it, I’m now noticing that with watching an ad, the gold you gain DOESN’T SCALE WITH YOUR FURTHEST LEVEL. I understand that the ARkit is still relatively new and there’s bound to be problems, BUT the ARkit has been around for as long as iOS 11 has been out, there’s no more leniency for excuses as to why this problem is STILL an issue! Get your devs to work, ARkit 1.5 is out, figure out what’s new and apply it to this game, try to eliminate these two bugs and maybe tweak the video ad rewards to where they scale with your level. Make them worth watching, like maybe 100 gold per ad watched.

The game is so simple yet with a hard gameplay. You will get overrun due to low damage weapons but hey that’s fun. You start to gain more powerful weapons over time and the money earn from each match is a perfect amount for upgrades. I love the camera motion is a brilliant idea like no joke. The Apache helicopter sounds are amazing, even the commands and weapons shooting. You can see the developer actually put some time into this game. In all I enjoy this game it’s really entertaining and puts you into a intense war zone against these hordes of zombie. This is a game I will be willing to spend a could of dollars on no joke, Great work developers! (Idea) wouldn’t hurt to *cough cough* add some new things to this beauty of a game.

By biggest gripe is that I bought gold coins so I could buy a premium chest and as soon as I do they raise the price of the premium chest. Started off at 2400 gold pieces and now it’s at 3,300. This is unscrupulous and completely dishonest. I’ll be taking the issue up with apple directly. As far as the game play goes, it’s fun but has a few issues with the screen taking off out of nowhere and being unable at navigate back to the fighting. I’ve had this happen a dozen times or so. Would also be nice to position the playing field on a wall for vertical play instead of being forced to look down at a table top or the floor. In short, it’s worth getting for free play, but don’t buy any gold. They are ripping you off and keep forcing you to buy even more gold to get what you want. Very dishonest!

No complains because this game is free and I'd pay a dollar for it and be beyond satisfied.

I do, however, wish that the game was more in depth. Not to the extent that the company's other game is (clash of clans and boom beach knockoff), but at least so I could upgrade my base's defenses and have a permanent game rather than resetting until I can get to the next scenario. There's also a severe lack of weapons in the game, couple hours in and I'm out of any real new stuff to do when I wish I could keep getting new weapons and upgrading my base and my weapons (without waiting until I get lucky from a crate).

Complaints aside, we'll made game and it's for free!

It’s a rip off. It always forces you to upgrade the weapons. You would think the cannon should work on a normal zombies but I keep firing the cannons on a small group of four zombies and they would keep coming forward. Plus, even when the cannons were ready it wouldn’t fire right away. Same for the other weapons. The weapon fire button would show ready for fire but it would just make the not ready beep and wouldn’t do anything for second or two which is crucial, specially in the last minutes when they’re about to breach. Also, when you score and get cash and weapons upgrade, most of the time they limit the upgrades to the lower end weapons that you don’t want to use anymore. So they would keep cheating you here and to make you spend the money and keep buying more weapons. Get the Zombie Gunship Survival instead of you want better experience.

This is truly a revolutionary game that simply uses your camera to simulate an attack helicopter. However, two major problems I’ve noticed. It is easy to accidentally cover up your camera with your hand and if that happens, you lose control of the helicopter and once you finally uncover the camera to recover control of the helicopter, the zombies will be too close to your base’s turrets or the walls. And those turrets and walls get destroyed pretty quickly. There should be a way to upgrade your base’s defenses as well. The other problem I noticed is that this game will completely drain and overheat your phone and I’m even using the iPhone 7 Plus so it’s ridiculous that this massive beast can overheat so quickly from this game.

I adore the game, I very seldom rate games because many games/apps never catch my attention or seem to be fun enough for me to bother rating. This game is amazing and fun, let’s me take out some zombies while I’m at work and I get the chance ;) but I think it’d be nice if you had an upgrade option for the defense A.I. Like you could upgrade their attack, health, attack speed, etc. and a big thing would be if you could use multiple of the same weapon, for example instead of one MK2 weapon, you could have two of them equipped. But I love the game and wether you add that or not I will continue to love and play it regardless. Fantastic game.

Where to begin.

Just another loot box micro transaction gambling machine disguised as a game.

AR in this “game” is a joke. The camera scans but uses none of the environment to change spawn points or funnel mobs in the stage. I saw mobs walk right out of obstacles I placed on the stage specifically to see what would happen.

The response rate is very wonky and if you are pressing multiple buttons sometimes the game fails to register a press and you mistime the shot. This happens frequently when firing multi round guns then trying to press a volley shot like missiles in between.

The game suffer immensely from the artifice grind imposed on gun leveling which forces you to buy things. So you either pay to get the better weapon to move on or you spent countless hours grinding to earn enough in game cash to keep upgrading.

This game should have focused on the features which would make it stand out, like fixing up the camera AR, working on more diverse and complex enemy types, maybe even a design your own stage mode(once again, using AR) maybe take some of the weapons you find and placing them on the base when not installed on the ship. Base upgrade options. Coop player mode.

Instead it’s just loot boxes and buying items. That is the point of the game. And it’s not fun. In fact it’s insulting.

It needs some work though. If you really want to research it before you get into it go to the developer website and read the player suggestions thread. After playing for 2 weeks I couldn’t agree more.

There are no instructions so you just start playing and figure it out. One thing that took me forever to figure out because it makes no sense to me, is I think the zombies get stronger as you go through the levels. Also, it takes a lot of play time to rack up enough experience to be allowed to spend your money on weapons upgrades. I mean like 30 hours. So keep playing!

But like I said, it is awesome!

This game is very unique and has a very fun gameplay throughout this game, in the game it allows you to get new types of weapons to mount on your helicopter you can fly around and shoot some zombies you can also set your helicopter to where you want it to be throughout your game, you have to be in a well lit area because you cannot play this game with a background and if your camera can’t see anything your game is not going to be able to be played but I would give ZombieGunshipRevenantAR Five stars for being one of my favorite mobile games

I love this game the perfect fluidity the adrenaline rush especially if your wearing headphones all of theses elements make this a perfect game but there could be more added like multiplayer. For example you can have co-op by linking with your friends via local wifi or even blu tooth maybe and hopefully you guys can try to have online multiplayer which matches you with random players or u can start a party with your friends but also in multiplayer you have your gamertags in the too left corner with maybe voicechat and you can have endless survival mode too where you and your friends try to last as long as you can but anyways just some future suggestions I love this game and keep on!!

I love the game. My only issues is with the mode that doesn’t use AR. If it’s not using AR why does it require the rooms lighting to play the game? Could we maybe have an update that has pre made maps and doesn’t require lighting. I’d like to play this game at night time or during car rides but the prompt for more lighting makes it near impossible. And the other thing.. if the non AR mode doesn’t use the camera then why does the game still drain so much battery life. I seems like the game takes 50% within a half hour of playing. Other than that it’s a great game overall. Looking forwards to updates and would like to see expansions in the future.

That’s all that is need to be said. The game is simple yet offers its player the intensity of protecting a military instillation from an oncoming zombie horde. Being able to fly over and behind the mobs and blowing them up, watching the parts of limbs fly across my living room floor or otherwise is a delightful and gross treat. The sounds the helicopter makes when you fly around a space is really cool too and I’m surprised how dynamic it is. I do wish there was the ability to change the filter from heat vision to something else but I love this game and can’t wait for continued updates.

I really like this game. It's the first AR game I've tried, and I really like it. But so far it's only just shooting zombies in a thermal camera that's really annoying to look at. I have a few suggestions tho:
1. Day/night cycle cuz the thermal camera is really annoying to look at. Maybe it would be activated at night and in day their would just be the terrain.
2. A campaign. It would be really cool to see a campaign in an AR game like like. I don't really know how it go, maybe like rescue people from zombies or something.
3. More weapons and/or helis. Right now it's just 4 types of weapons and one heli, which isn't really a lot. More variety would be appreciated, like bombs, homing missles, etc.

Not many mobile games excite me (I’ve tried many) but after playing ZG: Revenant for a week on the iPhone 8+...... I became an instant fan. I’ve never been more impressed. The AR gameplay, graphics, controls and especially the haptic feedback while firing; it really makes a difference.

If you’re looking for an exciting game where you yield metric tons of fire power to prevent relentless Zombie waves from breaching your home base....... THIS GAME IS FOR YOU!

10/10 in my book, keep up the great work Limbic Software Team!

Really really good concept. There’s so much potential. I want to rate this 5 star. But there are a few issues I have:

-new Weapons are way too hard to get. I don’t care about upgrading my level 1 weapon. I want the level 4 version. I’m at the last level and still don’t have most level 4 weapons.

- most of the weapons are horrible. The rockets basically don’t do anything. The canon basically doesn’t do anything. The machine guns are the only thing that works but then I have situations where I’m literally point blank and nothing happens to the zombies. Give us weapons that actually work.

- there should be more weapon choices. All you have are 4 categories. There should be many more. And it should be a bit easier to unlock.

- level 5 (carnage) is not possible to beat. I’m sorry but you will never survive 15 waves in that level. Partially bc of the stuff I wrote above - the weapons a lot of the time don’t do anything.

But great concept. This has so much potential to be a great game.
