Easy to use. Worked pretty well.

Update: contacted customer support. Responded quickly. Had to do a hard reset of the batteries. That resolved the issue for me. Working again as it did before the update.

Worked great all last year. Latest update a few weeks ago broke it. Won’t reconnect to units after you turn them off and back on unless you delete them from ThermicHeatcontrol and re add them again. Basically the blue tooth function with ThermicHeatcontrol is effectively now broken. Disappointed. Now having to use them manually like the non Bluetooth version.

Great app and heated products

I’m surprised by the ratings and other review; my experience with Therm-ic heated clothing (and ThermicHeatcontrol) has been excellent.

I use the heated vest and heated socks. Bluetooth control works well and has been consistent for me. The Apple Watch app makes it easy to adjust temperature from the ski lift without having to get my phone out.

I prefer to have full control over my heat settings so I don’t use the eco or motion control modes, but they seemed to work as advertised when I tested them.

Be sure to upgrade your battery packs to the latest firmware if they come with an old version. And if your ski group is waiting for you to get out the door, whatever you do, don’t tell them “I’ll be ready soon I just need to upgrade the firmware in my socks.” :)

Battery Indicator Useless

I just purchased a pair of Rossignol ski boots with the Thermic IC liner. I haven’t skied with them yet but after a couple of days of testing they seem to connect to the phone well. The battery life appears to be adequate but the battery indicator doesn’t work at all. I tested a pair of Salomon heated boots that had a much better app but the boots didn’t fit my foot as well. I’ll be skiing with these in a week and will update the review after some real world use.

Cool technology not good app

I have had these boots 2 seasons and the boot consistently comes disconnected from ThermicHeatcontrol causing me to have to reconnect ThermicHeatcontrol . Doesn’t heat very well but I can handle this because it takes the edge off the cold but continuously having to stop to reconnect is too big of a pain.

Why is there no update of this app: BAD!!!

I am now in year 2 with this very disappointing heater system. It absolutely never works properly. At the beginning of the day it can start burning my feet. I turn it down and it quits heating. I reset it and maybe it works for a run. Maybe. Bought with Surefoot that I think should refund the cost of the battery’s and discontinue being this reflects very badly on their boots.

Needs work

I love the socks but ThermicHeatcontrol is pretty bad. Pause button doesn't keep it paused, it will resume within minutes despite the phone being locked with no other interactions.

Sometimes top left buttons overlap iOS back button on iPhone 8+ top left notch.

Reviews have been bad for years, so it doesn't look like the company plans to address any of the apps issues.

Display Page is cut off

Really like ThermicHeatcontrol . I have an issue since I moved to the Apple Watch 5. The screen that shows the heat adjustments option to increase heat is cut off on the right side. Is this a know issue.

Is there customer service?? Poor execution

Super disappointed. Charge boots all night, work fine, then I ski on the mountain and they shut off! My phone is 3’ from my boots. I’m 5’3” and my phone is in my jacket pocket. But why does my phone have to even be near by or even on for boots to work? They don’t work skiing with or without ThermicHeatcontrol . And now one boot doesn’t even light up or register on ThermicHeatcontrol . HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

No battery level indicator

There doesn’t appear to be any way to know how charged our battery is... plus the Bluetooth constantly disconnects.

Works about 10% of the time

I’m so disappointed with ThermicHeatcontrol and this company. Bought their Bluetooth enabled heated ski boots and had to return them to the manufacturer after my feet froze because I could not control the boots without ThermicHeatcontrol and ThermicHeatcontrol rarely ever connected to the boots right. Total waste of money. Choose a different brand.

By

nice try

Love the idea, but it’s super buggy. One heater will appear to be stuck on a setting in the screen with the circle even if you’ve adjusted it in the screen with the levels for each boot.

Nice socks, crappy app

The significant jump in price for the Bluetooth app is not worth it, as ThermicHeatcontrol either doesn’t work at all or might sorta work maybe. I regret purchasing this product. It’s overpriced and is no better than a pair of heated socks for 1/3 the price.

Update at your own risk

Updated ThermicHeatcontrol , and now batteries cannot be controlled by ThermicHeatcontrol . ThermicHeatcontrol behaves as if the batteries are off. However, there is no obvious way to delete and re-pair the set, and I did the “hard reset” of the batteries with no improvement.

Unable to update firmware

Would like to install the latest firmware on my C-PACK’s (from 12.55 to 12.57). iPhone version of software hangs with progress icon spinning; Android version returns OTA_RESULT_FW_VERIFY_ERROR. Hardware serial is B1905F0.

App does not work well at all

Have to repeatedly turn heaters on and off as well as restart iPhone X to get the heaters to connect via Bluetooth. Really annoying especially considering cost. No excuse

By

There is a bug

It’s impossible keep both socks connect on the same time. I tried for 3 days, waste of money, hold the box to return this sheet product.

Total waste of money

Does not work at all. Total failure.
