So, if you want a vey basic word processor that shows you character counts this may work. It's supported by in-app advertising which is fine, but only up to the point where the ads purport to be something other than what they really are. Deception is dishonesty and developers who allow deceptive ads to appear in their products should be banned. One such ad that was served to me in WordCountNotes looks like a notification that a phone call is coming in. It calls for the user to act on it by tapping on the screen to accept or deny the call, but in truth there is no phone call. It's just an ad using a dishonest tactic to get you to tap on it. This kind of deception is, IMHO, unethical and dishonest, and developers that don't proactively fight against this sort of abuse are tacit accomplices.

Needs a backup feature. You will lose every note on WordCountNotes if you cannot backup your notes in iCloud. A search function of some kind would also be helpful.

I appreciate the word count feature. And I appreciate the simplicity of WordCountNotes . I am not looking for fancy. I like that on the left hand side you can see all your notes listed, like a table of contents. When you click on one, you see the content of that note on the right. My complaint is that my app holds on to notes that I have deleted over and over. They just keep reappearing. Sadly, I am thinking of finding a different app.

I use WordCountNotes all the time
It’s so relaxing and helps me improve my writing skills
The only annoying part is the ads that pop up at the bottom but I usually ignore them

I have found this character/word counting APP to be a valuable tool in constructing and editing articles for publication in medical journals. It saves your time with awkward laptop mechanics so as to use more of your time focusing on what it is you want to say. JPF

I've used WordCountNotes about a week for the character count to copy/paste into my description box on #Poshmark. So far not a single glitch & it's super easy to use.
Built in auto-save.
I highly recommend it <3

I'm a Korean user. I'm reporting bugs. If you install and use an external Korean font, it will look like the font you have created or entered from the list, but it will look like the default font for the system, not the font you have installed. I'd appreciate it if you could fix it.

Because often my file gets lost, so I can go back to the word countAnd not lose anything. Thank you my friends

I mainly use it for taking notes and I have like thousands of notes saved in WordCountNotes. However, I have a huge problem. I cant find my old notes. So, it would be perfect if you could enable find notes so I can find my old notes.

WordCountNotes works perfectly fine and it’s super easy to use! It’s great for writing essays on your phone if there’s a word limit! (At least for me but go ahead if you want)

WordCountNotes let me take a picture of my handwritten notes and rough drafts and inserted them IN FORMAT! with the rest of my essay! Saved me time I didn’t have.

Subject line pretty much says it all. My one “con” is more of a wish list item: the ability to search notes. It can be hard to find a specific note from the past.

I’ve been using WordCountNotes since 2017 and it’s been my main writing app ever since I like that it lets me lock my writing and I can track the word count as I write it also backs up automatically which has saved me on more then one occasion
The ads are also none intrusive and optional :)

As you can imagine, and all out hatred for typing and college degrees very seldom go hand-in-hand. The fact that I have just completed my associates degree and In the first courses toward my bachelor is largely in part to this very app. I have downloaded and tried countless others including several from Apple, yet none have been able to hold a candle to the voice recognition abilities found here. Don’t take my word for it, just give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed. And by the way, I typed this review using WordCountNotes !

I needed a memo/writing app that would not slow down after few paragraphs (like how the IOS default memo app does unfortunately) but that also has just a simple writing + word count + export (to memo app or dropbox) function, didn’t even need the font change or all kinds of font weights. It even provides the dark theme! Have used it for like 10 min, already love it 5/5
I am just curious about how local backup work though. Is it like keeping a version history of documents?

WordCountNotes is honestly so cool, the other ones you have to pay to unlock all the tiny but I only have to write a hundred word honest review. The font are really my cool too. Here are some random dialogue because idk what to put. Hi how are you? I am good, how about you? I’m doing good thanks for asking! So what are your plans for the weekend? I was going to watch a movie, would you like to join me? Sure, what did you have in mind? Hope you enjoyed that randomness... goodbye. I need 4 more words.

I’ve been searching for a writing app that wouldn’t slow down after writing sections of my book. Yes, I write in my iPad so I missed knowing if I wrote enough to meet deadlines and goals. Very useful, no frills and even provide a Dark Mode. I wish I could sync this in my iCloud as I tend to bounce from iPad to iPhone when inspiration hits. However, this no frills, stable app is a great app for your writing needs.

I LOVE this writing tool, just plain text, won't let me get bogged down doing formatting. Best of all is the word count -- for my editors, there are limits! And for social media posts -- like Instagram -- the character count is priceless. Get it, try it -- you'll love it!

I love WordCountNotes! It’s installed on my IPhone and having a word count when writing newspaper hunting and fishing columns is invaluable. I try to keep my columns between 700 to 800 words. And, yes, as crazy as it sounds, I write columns on my IPhone! The only thing that I wish WordCountNotes would have is grammar check. That would be a nice touch. Still a great app, though!

I had an immediate and urgent need for an app that counted characters and spaces. I’m glad I picked this because its very easy, intuitive, and had me working on my project moments after downloading! Plus now I don’t have to use my husband’s laptop just to get the count I needed!!!
I’m a VERY HAPPY and HIGHLY SATISFIED 1st time user and ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND WordCountNotes!!!
