This app is part of the city's "Cannes, outdoor sports capital" programme, whose goal is to promote outdoor sports and showcase the Cannes area.
Cannes Sports also suggests challenges, by timing yourself against bluetooth beacons installed along the route.
16 trails dedicated to running and hiking are spread out throughout the Cannes area.
Once the app is installed, you can download maps for offline use or you can locate and orient yourself on the detailed maps using the GPS on your smartphone.
A colour code system rates the difficulty of each of the trails.
It will alert you if you stray from your route.
