It good game

Update -got a email today about their spawning rate and to me seemed to come off rude and like im not already walking and looking for them “This is a GO game, a search game. Kindly note that creatures are not supposed to just pop up wherever you go. Or else where would be the challenge?
Use your radar, look for their hiding places, stay active, hatch eggs, try hunting for the Golden Egg - there are plenty possibilities to enrich your bestiary.” What they say to me this is what im already doing but still not finding enough in my rural neighbourhood having one pop up every two or three block or every 5 hr or so is horrible

I would have rated it 5 stars but artifacts cost abunch of coins and if you live in a rural area you wont get much spawning around you and if you complain to them they end up just telling you the same thing repeatedly that “ you have enough around you “ pokemon go seems to have a better spawning rate then draconius go ill still play this one but i really hope that they do a major overhaul on the rural area spawning

Good But Lacking

The game is good. It has some neat features, it has some nice items, it has some nice concepts and I like the variety. But the reason I rate it two stars, for now at least, is it lacks encounters and overall entertainment value in some aspects. Sure you have the treasures and the obelisks and arenas and stuff but one key feature is the monsters.

I know their spacing algorithm somewhat made an even playing ground for both rural and city players. But I fear whatever core numbers they use need to be raised. I can be on the game and walk for over a mile on the city streets and I run into 1 maybe 3 monsters. Sure I hit pillars of abundance and stuff like that but it’s not the same as running into monsters. More frequent monster spawning is a must. Also the wild monster attacks is a fantastic feature. But there are times where the CP difference is just insane. Perhaps the ability to switch out monsters if you encounter a monster with such a vast difference in CP might be something to add. I mean if I have a level 215 CP creature and I am attached by a level 383 CP monster, what’s the point?

So for now it gets two stars. Like I said the main aspect of this game is going out to catch your monsters. But when you have such low spawn rates it makes the game a simple augmented reality game where you spin pillars or travel areas to dig up treasure.

Stop updating to worse

When I first downloaded this game on Halloween I would have given it 10 stars. It literally had everything that I wanted from a “Go” game. After playing Pokémon Go for so long, playing a game that included all the things that should have been there, was amazing! A lot of pillars and gyms are inaccessible, speed cap is a little annoying and the spawns were too far and few between. But hey that’s what spells are for? Right?

But, then the updates started happening. And slowly things that made this game so great started disappearing. The parts that made this game blow Pokémon out of the water started changing. For the worse, and now the game isn’t nearly as good, in just a short amount of time. A big group of Pokémon players in my area would literally all play this together and be giddy with how much fun it was to do a lure or a spell. We’d all get together and launch an earth tower or a fire tower and it was awesome! Now you literally get one spawn every three minutes, the speed cap is still in place and if I get one more “time reduction” on my libraries after doing a long tedious quest, it’s going to make quit the game for good. Also, the added “red” or “blue champion” cps are way too excessive.

You had a great thing going. Why are you slowly ruining it? That’s a niantic move. You’re better than that.

Okay Game

The game does have some pretty cool features and tasks, but everything else is just meh.
The spawn rates for monsters are pretty bad, 8/10 of the time something appears near you it’s one of the four really common creatures (the frog one, fire pot, armadillo, and the air thing). It’s so hard to find different creatures, and seeing the same ones over and over again isn’t fun at all. When something different does appear, you most likely already have five or six of them.
Also (not sure if it’s just me) but resurrection potions are pretty hard to get from pillars, so it’s hard to use the battle feature when all your creatures are dead.
When I find something new in the game, it doesn’t give me a pop-up about what it is, it just expect me to know what it does. Mainly with the portals, still have no idea what they do because I’ve never ‘used one,’ if that’s the right word for it. Also libraries are still confusing to me.
Over all, the game is okay but has lots of room for improvement.

Lower costs

This game is fine expect for the fact that if you want to play the game as intended you will spend over 100 dollars just to get the required relics to make it remotely feasible to catch the decent creatures(not talking about candies) Also the library timer needs reworking. You wait all that time and you can get an even worse move set than you had before? Also your rewards for defending towers is not consistent, idk if that is the way it is suppose to be but I'd so that makes zero sense, if one day you defend 12 towers and the next still 12, wouldn't you think that deserves the same reward?! That is pretty lame. The pvp is a joke, you are definitely not playing real people at least not in real time, pvp is player vs player not player vs some AI controlled monsters than might be a players monsters. Over all the idea behind the game was well intended, but still focuses on making you pay to win. You wanna spend 30 bucks on a relic that allows you to see the better monsters instead of a half watermelon half armadillo you go right ahead.

Review as I play

UPDATE: Due to the pillars being in unsafe areas and along busy roadways where it is just not safe, we have decided to leave the game until the issues get fixed. Deveopler’s response is pretty cookie cutter with no immediate action. If you play in Klamath Falls 90% of the pillars are unsafe and inside the business or their parking lot. Also, the amount of spheres and candy just isn’t enough. I just started playing three days ago and notice a few things that need to be fixed. I play in Klamath Falls Oregon. There are 90% of the pillars are located in unsafe and inconvenient areas: inside businesses, the middle of the street, business alleys and in front of businesses where you will towed if you try and park and play. The portal out at Moore park disappeared. And the other pillars are way up the hill on the hiking trail. So unless you want freeze... enjoy. Spheres don’t drop in the quantity you need to get enough, treats are like a gift from God when you do get them, and monster attacks are op for my level . Spawns at pillars only happen when you keep laying down lures. Can’t they just randomly appear? Or should I just fork over the remaining money in my account to continue to buy them? Please fix the locations, putting them at vets park is ideal because it’s safe.

Well here goes !

The game has some amazing twist that make you wanna wake up a lil early before work just so you can play on the way to work ! Loving the amount of play that is dedicated to the rural player that live’s out in the middle of no where ! Update’s are flowing so that’s alway’s good to see . Down side’s so far that I’m seeing the worst part is that a lot of the places are not able to be access ed with out trespassing on some one property , mainly due to the location not being close to the road ways, parks or they are just out in the middle of the woods or in some one’s back yard or middle of there house !! I do not know if the game has mods that are able to move or adjust these places but I’d have to say that 80% of the game’s open world feature’s are not in a location that you can safely access which is dangerous and not legal ! So I hoe that they fix these problems !

More work needed

The game looks far superior then PoGo and the monsters that I have seen are unique and I love the designs.

The only thing holding me back from giving the game four stars is the lack of monster spawns. I'm lucky to see a Monster and that's when I'm walking around the same area that Pokémon pop up. Said Pokémon are always the common ones but at least they are there. With this game I can walk four blocks and get nothing. It makes the game boring.

The only thing that stops the game from getting that last star - making it 5/5 is the high cost in the shop, the difficulty of hatching eggs- overall this and what I stated before leaves me bored within ten-fifteen minutes. Hopefully your company will be able to do these things because this game is already superior to PoGo and it's not even a year old. If the game keeps going and certain things are fixed it this game will be amazing.

Okay, but prefer Pokémon Go

I played this game for two weeks trying to give it a chance, the icons are confusing to get use to, everything is just thrown at you with barely any explanation, and unlike Pokémon Go, which has pokémon spawn around you naturally, you have to go to these points to get these creatures, which can be in the middle of nowhere... I thought the first review I saw was true when they said they prefer this over Pokémon Go, but that's obviously not true, it's very difficult to enjoy this game... Now I could've not given it enough time? (I gave it two weeks).. If the developers took time to add an intro so you know what these creatures are, made them spawn in the world instead of at points, and made the menu not so confusing.... Then maybe I'd play it.. Who knows you might enjoy it more than I have, I'm not saying don't get it, get the game, I'm just stating why Pokémon Go is easier to understand.. (sorry to any developers it's a good game, just improve it a bit)

Has the content but

You guys have all the puzzle pieces now just put them where they go.. for example you should be able to choose whatever faction you want not be herded like a sheep.. second the spawns please make them more abundant.. and last make the key things like libraries and arenas notworthy places not just randomly thrown about. You can keep the abundance of pillars but perhaps add an upgraded pillar that is a landmark of sorts so you know where to go to do what you need to do.

Feature suggestions. Would be cool if you added some sort of boss battles similar to pogo raids but maybe be able to summon a boss with spells or something of the sort and also perhaps future realtime duels with a nearby player?

Edit: thank you for the response but the team concern is more for friends and wife that i would like to join this game over pogo. Just kinda hard to convince someone if we cant fight together but i like the game dont get me wrong i just want it to be in a better state before they join so they dont lose interest too quickly

Game with potential but needs work

The game is fun to play but from my perspective needs some tweaks. It’s very similar to PoGo with more depth in some areas which is great. The PVP functionality I’m not really sure how it works yet but most of the time being lvl 12 y ended up fighting with people that had creatures way more powerful than mine and I ended up not fighting anymore thinking that it might paire you with stronger players (not similar to your level). The cost of relics and stuff in general is unbelievable expensive. Even the dragon’s eyesight costs 500 coins!!! That makes you double think if you want to spend that much money when there are not even enough players playing it yet.
Most of the Pillars, arenas and libraries are located in private property and you won’t be able to get to them unless you break into the place and sometimes is frustrating that you want to get a creature and you can’t reach it. Also I noticed that spinning the ball is nearly impossible and you’ll end up spending 10 balls to get one hit.

Great game, still needs work.

I really love the new exotic creatures and being able to travel to the rift. I haven’t been able to use the pvp option yet but I will get there. I love that you get attacked randomly by creatures. I really love the look and feel of this game. It’s pretty much exactly like PoGo, however I have one major gripe about this. The speed cap is way too low. Riding a bike or even running and nothing spawns. It definitely needs to be raised. If not, you might as well give up on this becoming a hit. Might also include a compass. There are so many pillars all over the place and a lot of those are in very dark and questionable areas. Places I refuse to walk around in.
I hope the developers will take into account the constructive criticism and actually listen to the players to make their changes. If you do that then I can see this game getting bigger than PoGo.
Great job so far guys! Let’s keep improving!

This game is more accessible to me!

So far I am really loving Draconius GO. It’s got all the things Pokemon GO players wanted - quests, creature battles, pvp battles (different from gym/arena battles). The creatures are really cool as well!

The reason I said this game is more accessible to me? When playing Pokemon GO i have to drive almost 40 minutes into the next town just to walk a 1-mile stretch of road because there are only three stops and one gym in my town. However Draconius GO has hundreds of stops, libraries, and arenas right here in my area. So i can just leave my house and walk without having to drive into another town.

The only things I think could be better would be if, during battles with wild monsters, you had the option of trging to capture the wild monsters after you win the battle. I also wish the creatures would show up more often so I wouldn’t have to use so many dragons eyesights.

Love this game, but there could be a few improvements

This game is so much fun to play. I love the quests, the PvP, and the eggs. One thing in particular that is annoying is that my neighborhood has no pillars of abundances, obelisks, library, or gyms in it. I still have to drive into town to play. Also, artifacts are nearly impossible to obtain, I'm level 21 and have only one artifact. Another thing is that, I have no new spells, even though I've completed 10+ quests. Also, shovels are way to hard to obtain. Last but not least, the speed limit should be raised, I'm a cross country runner, and I run too fast to the point where I cannot spin pillars or catch anything because I'm running above the speed limit. Everything else is awesome. Keep up the great work, and hopefully these few issues will be changed in the future.

Addicting And Overall Great Game!

For Me, Pokemon Go has been less and less relevant in my life. This game, though, is different. Though it has borrowed some aspects from Pokemon Go, it makes up for it with all its other original ideas. With things like libraries, golden egg hunts, and 151 unique dragon designs, there is really no end to this wonderful game! I do have some complaints and ideas for the game, though. First of all, throwing the balls to catch dragons is quite choppy and hard. I keep having to waste them trying to catch some of the simplest dragons. For some reason it always seems to miss! I also think there should be more choices for character design. The only real option you get is changing the color and gender. Anyhow, despite this the game is really fun, and I can’t wait for this game to get more updates!

Amazing

I love this game. I do have some problems though. The big one is that it is very similar to Pokemon go, but it also has a lot more than Pokémon go. It has pvp and more structures. It is also very fun and easy to pick up and play. I do think they could do with out the speed limit and at least put it to like 30 miles per hour. But then again I do think that it is alright to try to keep the people who are buying your game healthy. Over all it is a great game that just needs a little tune up. From pvp to more structures to a bit simpler I think that this is a great game for any one. Oh I forget about how the structures are not tied to a real world place which makes the game easier for rural players. But I still think it can improve. Overall it is a great game.

Fun game but has a few issues

I downloaded this as an alternative to another AR game which has gotten pretty stale (I’m sure you know the one). Overall I think it’s a pretty good game but it does have a couple issues I’d like to see resolved.

First the good: There’s lots of in-game buildings that are easily accessible even in suburban areas so no need to drive far to actually play. Quests and encounters make things more interesting than a simple grind to catch everything. App runs very smoothly and has yet to crash or bug out on me, and the graphics are quite nice.

Now some things I’d like adjusted: Spawn rate seems really, really low. If I go for a walk with my dog around the neighborhood I’m lucky to get more than one spawn. While the availability of resources is really good in my area, it’s not super useful because the spawns are so rare. This really takes away from the enjoyment of the game so it would be great if it could be adjusted.

The other issue that really detracts from the game is the low speed limit. I do think that a speed limit feature is a good idea in and of itself for safety reasons but right now the cut-off is so low that it’s fairly disruptive and it’s not uncommon to be told I’m “going too fast” when I get some minor GPS drift while standing still.

Besides these issues, the game is pretty solid and I would certainly recommend it to people looking for another AR game to try.

Great alternative to... you know

Love the game and love the creativity. It is very similar to another Go game out there but as you play you start to enjoy this more. Many features like pvp, portals and quests keep me coming back. The creatures are super creative and I love finding new ones.

My only 2 complaints are not enough monster spawns and the need for more arenas and stops. I walk for 30 minutes during my lunch break and I seem to only find 4-5 creatures, this might be by design but it’s a little frustrating when you only have a limited time. The lack of stops and arenas isn’t huge but it would be nice to have 25% more to restock faster.

All in all, I can’t recommend this game enough. The company responds to users unlink another company we know nian.. it really is great to see creativity with monsters, they rock! And the features not found elsewhere are great!

I adore this game...but

I have a few problems with the game, I know it's a new game and they'll work it out, but so far my biggest problem is that the creatures don't appear close enough to the pillars they say they are at. I will slowly drive around my subdivision and catch creatures, but 100% of the time (so far) if I see a shadow of a creature I haven't caught yet, and I go to the pillar that it says it's at the creature never appears. It's happened every time I've left the house to find a creature and it's really annoying because I really want a chance at getting the creature, but it's in someone backyard, which I obviously can't go in. I just went to get one, and I'm pretty sure it was a rare creature, but I couldn't get to it because it was on a private access road for a farm I live next to. It's heartbreaking not being able to reach them. Other than that the game is great and you should all try it!

Speed Cap/landmark locations need fixing

I ended up playing all night and got a feel for the game. The major issues that I noticed were that majority of pillars, arenas, and libraries are located in alleyways. Definitely not places I want to be walking in the dark. Which brings up another issue with the speed cap. It’s REALLY slow. I get the point of it but at hardly 10mph I can’t spin pillars. There’s no way I’d ever walk down these alleys just to spin pillars. Honestly, I’m not exaggerating about the amount of landmarks located in alleys. Please raise the speed cap or at least move pillars, arenas, and libraries out of alleys.
Also I just want to point out that hardly anything spawns outside of pillars.
I hope that the developers have open communication with the community unlike niantic.
