Hopefully Steve Kaufman sincerely meant Stephen Krashen was correct.
If so, we can expect Lingq to move from, ‘if you work harder you will learn,’ to ‘simple stories using common vocabulary is best for our learners.’

I have been using LearnRussianLingQ for about a year now since completing the Russian Duolingo course. I was looking for more immersive exercises since Duolingo can only take you up to about 2,000 words. Reading Russian literature books can be an alternative but having to go back & forth on words you can’t understand leads to spending time on translation which breaks the pacing of reading a single sentence. LearnRussianLingQ manages to simplify this very well by keeping track of what words you’re familiar with & what words you might need some practice on. My only problem is when I stumble upon a new word but the word isn’t auto-translated for you, it breaks the pacing but at least to a far lesser extent than if I was reading a physical book. I also enjoy the wide array of selection for what you can read, I’m hoping we get full novels on LearnRussianLingQ someday soon. Coming off a year of Ling my word count is somewhere up to 3,224 (according to LearnRussianLingQ ) so my progress has been slowed down but my reading comprehension has improved significantly.
I’m a long time user. Just wonderful, but please add dark mode. We’ve waited so long.
