Novel Updates, The Best Reader for Light Novels Reviews

Upon downloading it, I proceeded to scout out a novel simply to check how it is. The first novel I saw had to be added before you could even see or read a chapter. Then when you go to chapters, it starts from latest to oldest. Naturally they had a function to switch from oldest to latest but that kept loading each chapter on its own. It took roughly 5 minutes just to organize a novel consisting 500 chapters. To top it all off, it would not load any chapter at all. If you decide to wait, it simply crashes. I have tested around 6 novels and all acted the same. Lastly a feature as simple as dark mode needs to be bought?! Step up your game developers and fix the critical issues before attempting to make money because this is a scam....

I’d give zero stars if I could. Nothing comes up. I tried it since the web site can be hard to navigate, but this is even worse. Why is NovelUpdatesTheBestReader even stillavailable in the store?

Gradually all functions have completely stopped functioning. At first, only some novels wouldn’t load in NovelUpdatesTheBestReader but you could go to the site to find. Then the time came when nothing would load in NovelUpdatesTheBestReader but you could view it on the original scanlator sites. Eventually nothing loaded, whether through NovelUpdatesTheBestReader or through the regular site. The search no longer works either. It freezes and then I have to shut it down. Uninstalling and reinstalling NovelUpdatesTheBestReader have not worked for me either. C’est la vie!

this is an awful app for reading. while i appreciate that they made a mobile app for site, the only purpose is basically for making a list of novels you like or want to read. the chapters never load when you click on them, and sometimes they dont even show up at all, so you dont know how many chapter there are. NovelUpdatesTheBestReader doesnt notify you when something on your list updates, so you have to keep checking which is pointless when the chapters dont even show up or disappear while you’re looking at them. not only that, but sometimes the filter or search functions dont even work when looking for series that’s on the site. basically it serves no purpose but to compile a list of your favorite series and sometimes chaeck updates if the chapters show.

When I first downloaded NovelUpdatesTheBestReader around September I used to get a list of all new chapters on the right tab, the lift tab is for my favorite novels (the ones I’m reading basically). Any novels I add to my favorites would be highlighted so that I would know when my novels update.

Unfortunately, a month or two later (I don’t remember when exactly), I stopped getting anything on my right tab. On my left tab, my novels were there, but I could not read anything on NovelUpdatesTheBestReader . NovelUpdatesTheBestReader became useless.

I waited for an update, but nothing happened. I deleted NovelUpdatesTheBestReader , and re-downloaded it a week ago... The problem still wasn’t resolved!

Worst thing is, I can’t even report issues. I had to come here to report it... I hope NovelUpdatesTheBestReader developers see this review and fix NovelUpdatesTheBestReader .

Hmm, I’m not too good at navigating NovelUpdatesTheBestReader just yet. Also, I haven’t been able to read anything at all. Every time I click on a chapter (Poison Genius Consort in this case), it crashes on me. And the last update was 6 months ago so do I have much hope that they’ll fix NovelUpdatesTheBestReader? Well, I have a tiny sliver of hope that they will. Just so it’ll be more convenient and also at the same time, I like being on novelupdates so I can support it more this way.

Upon downloading, it’s a super simple design with only search n add functions which are both not working. I could see just empty spaces upon entering so I tried searching my first novel and nothing came up.( the novel does exist, I’ve searched in on the novel updates website and multiple similar websites) is the developer the same as the website or is it just a dud version???

I love to read novel. So naturally I really hope NovelUpdatesTheBestReader will help to read novel easier than before. But sorry to say about that, it's too awful. It's loading too slowly and show nothing. I downloaded NovelUpdatesTheBestReader one month ago but can't read anything till now 😑

I’ve been looking for an app to read my web novels on but NovelUpdatesTheBestReader doesn’t even load the novel at all. I got my hopes up when I found a novel I was reading until I actually tried reading a chapter on NovelUpdatesTheBestReader. Sigh... it doesn’t load at all!!! I exited out and tried again and nothing, it just gives me the loading symbol. So I’m uninstalling and hoping I find a better app.

This is one of my favorite light novels site’s so I decided to get NovelUpdatesTheBestReader and i bought the in-app full edition after a couple of days NovelUpdatesTheBestReader just kept crashing so I decided to delete and re-download in hopes it would stop crashing. Then it suddenly tells me i have to buy to full version again when i already bought it.

I just bought NovelUpdatesTheBestReader and I can not use it! This is a rip off!!! I want my money back! I tried to go to NovelUpdatesTheBestReader support but got a ‘can not open page’ message instead. NovelUpdatesTheBestReader load, I was able to add the novels into my list; but when I want to read the chapters, none of the chapters would load!

Do not buy NovelUpdatesTheBestReader!!!

Loved it for the month it functioned back in October. It’s been almost a month now that it doesn’t work at all. I paid for premium, and I really liked where NovelUpdatesTheBestReader was going, but a month is too long for an app to not update or attempt to fix the fact that it DOES NOT WORK.

I paid for NovelUpdatesTheBestReader , and after about a month of using NovelUpdatesTheBestReader , my chapters stopped loading and I can’t search or load other stories as well. Pls fix this.

I used to love NovelUpdatesTheBestReader but it has been broken now for months. If they fix it then it’s a great app but as of now I’m just really disappointed.

This a great app to read and keep up with the novels that you are reading, but it has some quirks. Some Chapters won’t load or will only load the comment section of the chapter from the translator’s website and when you select a recent chapter from the recent chapter release section it takes you to a random chapter from a random novel. AS OF THIS POST, NovelUpdatesTheBestReader WILL NOT LOAD ANY CHAPTERS, it will just continue loading forever or appear blank. I hope that this will be resolved soon as this is a very good app for reading light novels.

Overall, I believe NovelUpdatesTheBestReader is just amazing for reading novels. I've been trying to catch up on this novel called Ark and I'm enjoying it, However one thing that makes me kind of sad for NovelUpdatesTheBestReader is it doesn't have a history system, I can't seem to leave where I left off in a chapter when I have to do something else. I sometimes have to guess where I'm at sometimes spoiling part of the book for me. I don't know if they check the reviews to improve their app, but if they do that'll be great

NovelUpdatesTheBestReader is great for reading novels, it truly is the best. But recently i have been having the issue that i cannot read new chapters they stay loading and do not want to do anything else. I have to go to the previous chapter and click next in order to read it. Can you guys fix that please. The new chapters not loading is bugging me and now no chapters are loading. I have the premium version because it was a good app but this needs to be fixed.

Great app but starting two days ago the release section has been blank, which is bumming me out because I rely on it to tell me when new releases come out for my favorite novels
