TodayWeather has everything you could need in a weather app and looks amazing on the iPhone X’s OLED screen. It’s by far the best-looking weather app available... EXCEPT for the ugly adds that stand out like a sore thumb and completely ruin the otherwise perfect UI. This is why I decided to purchase the Ad-Free upgrade. After purchasing the $3.99 lifetime ‘subscription’ the advertisements were still there. Trying the option to ‘Restore Purchase’ causes TodayWeather to hang. Uninstalling and reinstalling TodayWeather had no effect and the developer’s website won’t even load - do yourself a favor and just use the free version.

The design and the true black background make this the best looking weather app in the iPhone X.

That’s where the good news ends.

Despite paying for the premium membership TodayWeather is almost useless:
- incorrect forecasts compared to other apps ( TodayWeather has said clear and mid 30s °F when other apps correctly said single digits and snow)
- phases of the moon that often are each one day apart (new moon yesterday, full moon tomorrow?)
- radar can not play the time lapse
- 3 ways to see the upcoming conditions; one allows you to swipe backwards, the other two require you change your hand position and stretch for a “back” button

I contacted the developer weeks ago and never heard back.

I’m personally insulted by the author asking for 5 star ratings in order to stay inspired to keep improving TodayWeather. Seriously? If all you want is stars then why did I pay $3?

I will be asking for a refund from TodayWeather Store.

Like the others giving positive reviews, the U.I. for TodayWeather is fantastic; clean, has all the info I need at a glance and then some.

That said, the only reason I'm not giving it 4 or 5 stars is the startup time. With the native weather app, I go from a cold start to know the current temp and daily high in ~2 to 3 seconds. With this app, that time is usually around 15-16 seconds.

Just a minor annoyance that'll keep me from buying the pro upgrade or using it as my primary day-to-day.

This used to be one of my very favorite weather apps. I recently tried reaching out to the developer for help and never heard back from them. I was curious why the forecast only appear to go out six days, yet the header state seven day forecast. This means you're not able to view the full forecast period and summaries For sources like the National Weather Service. I love the different weather providers and really enjoy being able to compare the forecast from different providers in one app. I just wish the forecast summaries went out to perhaps 10 or 15 days. It would make the life time upgrade more worth it and especially if they considered adding other weather sources like Aris weather, Foreca, Wetter or the Weather Channel. With all that said, I do love TodayWeather and hope they will consider these suggestions. With a few of these tweaks, I have no doubt this will again be by far the best weather app you can get! Oh yeah, it's also perfect for people using voice over!

TodayWeather is beautiful and it presents a lot of weather data in a very appealing way but this also rough around the edges.
TodayWeather has ads which can eliminate by paying for a subscription. It should note that in TodayWeather Store. And if you try paying for a subscription the process just spins and goes nowhere. Also I noted a preference for Fahrenheit temperatures but TodayWeather is not fully consistent with that. I'm sure it will be a five star app very soon. Just not quite yet.

I've had TodayWeather for about two weeks and my only real crucial complaint is that the radar is broken. Watching it play doesn't have any animation, it just shows frames appearing then disappearing and you can't tell at all what's happening or where the storm will go. Everything else I love, especially the all black design that's super easy on the eyes. Wish I could give all 5 but this issue with the radar is big.

A good looking app that has the potential to be better. First up, I really appreciate the selectable weather data sources. I use Dark Sky. The UI is clean and the widget is nice as well. For most of my weather info, I go directly to TodayWeather widget and rarely go into apps. About the widget, I would prefer that it showed a 4 or 5 day future forecast rather than the daily hourly forecast. Perhaps a configuration option?

Lastly, I wasn't able to subscribe which I suspect was due to server authentication issues. Hope that gets fixed. I sent an email to the developer about the Widget request but have yet to hear back. Hopefully, will hear back soon.

It’s been 24 hours since I last checked the weather on my iPad and TodayWeather is still showing the forecast from that time. It’s set to refresh every 30 minutes, so it should update to today’s forecast on the half hour... but I want today’s forecast NOW!

Please FIX!

Otherwise, This is my favorite weather app. I love that I can choose the weather source as well as the display order.

This is a great free weather app. It gives you a lot of information for free and has a beautiful design. My biggest gripe which caused me to take off 2 stars was the load info times. For some reason this weather app takes forever to load compared to all the others I’ve used. The stock weather app loads almost instantly while TodayWeather consistently takes a full 10 seconds to load the current weather. If it weren’t for that, TodayWeather would be an easy 5 stars.

Like many reviewers on here, I LOVE weather apps. When a new one comes out, I just have to download. But that soon may stop. I love TodayWeather and the layout. I did not give it 5 stars because of the lousy radar. I paid for TodayWeather for no ads and the radar. It is very disappointing and sub-par. I must keep my NOAA radar app to get the much-needed instant cloud coverage information being I work often outside and heavily rely on accurate and timely radar images for up-to-the-second information. Please fix this and make this feature just as gorgeous as the rest of TodayWeather .....especially if one is paying for it!!

Very nice format, and gives you choice of data providers and formats. I like how it is different from the other weather apps I've installed.

One recommendation: if inHg is selected in Units, it needs to be displayed to two decimal places to be meaningful. Also, units in forecast should match what is selected in settings (if Fahrenheit is selected for temperature, then the forecast should not show Celsius).

I love TodayWeather however I noticed for iOS it does not have” always allow” location access .. can you please add this feature ?

Best weather app, but in order to see the weather each new day, I have to close TodayWeather and reopen. Shows previous day's weather until I do so.

Even if I open the side panel and pull to refresh, when I go back to the main view, it still shows yesterday's date/day and weather. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?? If not, please fix.

This is a good-looking and smooth-working app. You can configure multiple locations. The features of the display are individually controlled, so you can see just what you need. Units can be set separately for each type of data. Nice widget as well. You can select the data source from a menu.

However, I wish it supported landscape view, costs it a star. Also, the moon phase info is just bogus, turn it off and ignore.

first of all i don't care what anybody has to say, this is the best weather app of ALL TIME. i tell all of my friends to download it because it's a lifesaver! i've been using/subscribed for over two years now. the only thing that's missing is a watch app!!! i just wanna be able to see the weather conditions on my watch faces without having to download another weather app because this one is TodayWeather of my dreams!!! please consider developing a watch app!!! it would make this perfect!!!!

TodayWeather is perfect to me. I love the look and feel of it and it’s an app I can beautifully share the weather with family and friends across the world. There’s one small but huge thing from keeping me from giving it 5 stars. Maybe something on a future update... My way of saying it’s possible, I beg you. To please give us the option of adding our own photos. While still keeping the text matching an accent color in the photos the way you have it now. It’s so appealing to the eye because of that. But this option would be a great way for us to share the weather. And TodayWeather in the process. Thanks!

This is the only app I’ve found in dozens of weather apps to combine beauty and information. Most apps are beautifully simple which means they either lack information or take swipes and clicks to get to what you need. Others have too much or are too busy to give you the overview you need. TodayWeather has all the information in a simple screen that makes it all quick to view, including radar.

The option to choose the weather data provider is awesome.
Would like to see a light option for the radar though. Makes it easier to see the rain / snow.
Can’t say I’m a fan of the icon... but it’s not a deal breaker.
One option I’d like to see is the ability to set as “always” in the background settings. I don’t mind a little battery usage to keep TodayWeather current to my location.

Over time the developer has implemented a lot of improvements which include better presentation of the radar and a wide selection of data sources. The GUI is clean and easy to interpret. All in all I find Today Weather to be accurate for my region and a pleasure to use. Highly recommended.

Old review: With the exception of the radar, this is a relatively good weather app. The radar, however, is the worst I’ve seen. It is the opposite of smooth and the blotchy, hit-or-miss presentation makes the radar all but useless. Hard to recommend TodayWeather.

I have many weather apps on my phone. Each does something different than the others so I keep them around. That is until TodayWeather. Wow is it amazing. Gives me all the details I want (UV, pollution, etc) and looks good to boot.

After installing I've actually scaled back the number of apps & likely will continue to do so.

Definitely worth a download and I love the morning forecast on lock screen

Great graphics, but there are functional problems. The home location registers to a city 10 or 12 miles away from where I actually live, and the radar animation is horrible. One frame loads and then the entire screen blanks before the next frame loads. It makes it almost unusable except as a snapshot of what is actually happening at the moment.

TodayWeather has proved overall to be quite accurate when compared to others but the radar has little functionality and I’m subscribing to have that feature. Please improve, thanks.

It truly is magnificent. There are some things that would make it better, but even right now it is grand. Without premium, there are on-page strip ads, so no pop ups or anything and you can’t use the radar. With how much TodayWeather offers, I thought it was worth it to get the full lifetime license. It’s like $4.

I love the simplicity of TodayWeather. It has everything I need without any hassle. Much better than the iPhone standard weather app. Hopefully in the future, we might be able to see an allergy count. Keep up the great work. You guys rock!!!

I used dark sky for years and came across this and love this way more. Love how you can customize the icons and the alerts are amazing. Just paid the 3.99 and keep the updates coming!
