Instruction are impossible to follow. They don’t match the device. Ie. Blinking blue? Blinking blue & red? Device does both! Looks for device BEFORE WiFi is setup. App never recognized device so I returned device, which probably works fine... just not with NorthHomeWifiOutlet.

Didn’t work for me darn it

So initially NorthHomeWifiOutlet setup was difficult, as the same issues happened with me as the other reviewer. However after taking hours to set it up, it still worked, albeit with some flaws. I recently got a new phone and downloaded NorthHomeWifiOutlet again to reconnect it to the outlet. This time, it refused to detect the device at all, even though I followed the proper instructions to reconnect and had the blue flashing light for pairing mode. Could not find help or get help on how to reconnect my outlet with my app. A waste of time and money, would not recommend buying the outlet product nor downloading NorthHomeWifiOutlet .

I have the Wi-Fi outlet and use the north outlet app. First off, the device was challenging to set up. The directions didn’t provide places/links for you to stop at a part to complete the task and then move on to the next step. It wants you to remember all the steps and then go complete them. While I was reading the directions by accident I pressed the done button and wasn’t able to bring back the instructions. That is a feature I didn’t enjoy. I went to the website to find a tutorial or just the directions and it said to refer to the set up on my phone. Not very helpful. Once I figured it all out the device was connected!

Here is why I gave NorthHomeWifiOutlet only two stars (I maybe too generous). There is a bug with NorthHomeWifiOutlet that when it is opened it says that the device is already turned on. I have a light plugged into the device and therefore know that it isn’t on. The big issue with this is that the timer function won’t work then. It is tricked into thinking the device is already turned on. What is the point of having a Wi-Fi outlet when you always have to log into your phone to turn on the light. It would be faster for me to walk across the room in the dark and plug it in.

I really hope they fix these issues soon. If they do I will definitely change my rating because the product, as I said, has potential of being a really good item.

Make my Black Friday really black: no light with this device. NorthHomeWifiOutlet is terrible, you need to had an user and password (for a energy plug? Come on) and to after to try to connect to WiFi was terrible, don’t know if they really connect, all this happened between 50 times NorthHomeWifiOutlet closing by itself without cause. Lost like 2 hours trying to fix it and the result is waist more time to return everything to brandsmart tomorrow.

Hard to setup as previously mentioned, but was willing to overlook as once it was setup, it seemed to work.
However, the schedule settings do not work. It will turn the device on, but it will not turn it off at the scheduled time.

After an hour and a half of loading and unloading NorthHomeWifiOutlet logging in and logging out, unplugging the device and plugging it back in. Still not working. I’ve sent an email to customer support, I will post a new review once they get back to me.

NorthHomeWifiOutlet and device are a waste of money. The devs need to get themselves together and put together a product that actually works. I’ve been trying to connect to my 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz band with no avail.

The ONLY way to turn On/Off the outlet is to open NorthHomeWifiOutlet and flick the switch. Contacted NORTH about the bug in the Schedule feature months ago. Waiting for an update.

Title says it all. After buying the plug. Followed instructions, opened app, and it won’t go past registration screen. Returned useless WiFi plug.

Bad UX and doesn't work make this a terrible gift received over Christmas. Need to fix!

App doesnt work, really bad product.

App has stopped working with iPhone. Opens. Shows how to connect, then crashes. I’ve reloaded NorthHomeWifiOutlet . Signed in again multiple times. I finally was able to connect with my old android bit the outlets refuse to work with the timer. I’ve reset them. Redone everything. They still will not work. Even when they did work, you could not set more than one out at a time to come on and go off at the same time.
