glitchy and slooooooooooow..... so slow!!!! It takes 7 seconds for the app to respond....

2024-11-17

First of all, why does it take 5 seconds for the buttons to start working??? Soooo slooooow. Please fix that.
Tracking could be more user friendly. Needs more options such as where did baby feel asleep and how. NodBabySleepCoachTracker is slow to respond to the buttons. There is a major glitch now where I cannot stop the feeding and log new things. The 24h timeline needs hours to see the progress. Please fix NodBabySleepCoachTracker , it’s ridiculous how much you charge people for such garbage performance. I don’t think I will renew my subscription. The update is done every 3 months... needs more work.

Glitchy

2024-11-17

Was good for two weeks, now all of a sudden I was tracking a sleep session and I CANNOT edit or delete it (I’ll tap the stop button and it’ll stop tracking for a second then go right back to tracking, it doesn’t give me enough time to tap the delete button). Currently it says my baby has been sleeping for 50 hours. I’ve resorted to tracking his sleep/feedings in the notes section of my phone and it is honestly much easier. All I really wanted was an app to do the math for me, adding up how many ounces he eats and how many hours a day he sleeps. Another thing I don’t like is if you are bottle feeding and tracking a session, it doesn’t let you put in a finish time. I like to know how long it takes for my baby to finish a bottle. Also, I signed up for the $4.99 monthly subscription and NEVER unsubscribed, yet I got an email a few days ago from Nod saying I successfully unsubscribed. Unsubscribing and deleting.

Unusable

2024-11-17

If I try to do anything from the insights screen nothing happens or there is at least a 3 second lag. I know it should be possible to fix this cause there didn’t used to be a lag. Additionally a month ago they removed my last goal that I chose manually and have given me no recommendation that wasn’t, did you forget to track ever since? So we broke down and hired a sleep coach instead.

I track religiously but since he is in daycare a lot of stuff is entered as I nurse him to bed or as I nurse him in the morning not as it happens. I wish there was a way to export this data so I could just abandon NodBabySleepCoachTracker, but I need to use something to track his sleep and nursing for the coach we hired and with the insights so slow and refusing to even display data from over a month ago I don’t know what to do.

Finally please don’t contact me, I barely have time to write this review let alone have a back and forth with you. Just update.

Great concept, too good to be true.

2024-11-17

I started using NodBabySleepCoachTracker to help my 4 mo old sleep through the night without waking up every 1-3 hrs. Although the developers responded quickly to feedback saying they are working on the algorithm, it just hasn’t delivered.

Issues:
— glitchy. Have to re-enter timers sometimes 3 times before they stay on the number I selected. Also, when presented with a card asking a yes or no question, and selecting no, NodBabySleepCoachTracker says I declined the card rather than answered the question.
— slow. Lots of lag time when moving around NodBabySleepCoachTracker
— irrelevant recommendations: after a particularly grueling night I got a card saying things were going great and to keep up the good work. This may be because there aren’t ways to provide enough relevant info. (E.g. there is only one setting for bedtime routine that doesn’t allow the user to communicate what actually happens. NodBabySleepCoachTracker asks you to rate “how difficult was bedtime” for every sleep session, but it is unclear how to rate, say, a night waking where baby nursed back to sleep quickly and quietly. There is nowhere to record how much crying, if any.)

Sleep deprived parents seeking help are not an easy group to please, and NodBabySleepCoachTracker feels like it is still in the guinea pig phase and not yet up to the challenge.

3 Stars-Lacks Intuition

2024-11-17

NodBabySleepCoachTracker is a solid three in my book. The UI is good for the most part. Nods advise is great when things are working well, but is lacking if it does not. The first few weeks of following the program we were doing good and nod was easy to use and each next step seemed intuitive and logical. However, near some of the later steps nod became unclear as to what I was supposed to do. My child no longer sleeps in a crib, but NodBabySleepCoachTracker was so specific that the child must sleep in a crib, I had to guess how to modify this for my situation - not a big deal, but I feel like others will be in the same boat. My child had 3-4 consistently bad nights and nods advise was that things were going great and wanted to continue with the sleep training. I did try contacting support and got a response within 2-3 days. They said that there is no way to pause the program at this time and they needed to check with their sleep specialists for what to do if your child is in their own bed and not a crib.

In the meantime while waiting for an answer, I found another app (paid, but not a subscription) that seems to suit my needs better. It’s more simplistic and easier to follow with a steady progression on how to get your child to sleep better. It also gives advise immediately if and when you child wakes up. It’s everything a tired parent could ask for.

Nod sets up a great foundation for beginning to sleep train your child which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

Really wanted to love this

2024-11-17

I really wanted to love NodBabySleepCoachTracker. It’s a beautiful design and I loved the concept, plus the developers have been so responsive when I need help. Ultimately, it’s just too complicated to be worth the effort in tracking. The sleep log would benefit from a feature allowing you to log details of sleep (did baby nurse to sleep, fall asleep independently, etc). Also, the recommendations just don’t always make sense - the other night I logged that I was up multiple times for hours and it told me things were going great. The final straw was today - I hadn’t logged for about 24 hours due to being extremely busy with my baby. When I went to log my day’s info, it alerted me that my goal had been removed for not tracking enough. At that point, I decided to throw in the towel and delete NodBabySleepCoachTracker . Really hope this is improved in the future as it’s a great concept!

Great app! Some bugs

2024-11-17

I really like the functionality of NodBabySleepCoachTracker and the ease of adding entries, especially past entries when I forget to log. The charts are great because you can try to spot correlations - I just wish NodBabySleepCoachTracker did this for you instead. Also there are quite a few bugs that the developers are still working on. NodBabySleepCoachTracker can get slow and lag at times. I’ve also encountered a bug that doesn’t let me exit an entry and the only fix is reinstalling NodBabySleepCoachTracker . I do really like NodBabySleepCoachTracker and so I just put up with the bugs and hope they will be fixed soon! Also love that this is tracking only feeding and sleep. Other apps want you to track dirty diapers etc. which is not helpful if you are not concerned with weight gain.

Kind of annoyed honestly...

2024-11-17

I’ve been using NodBabySleepCoachTracker, for about a week, to track my daughter’s nursing and sleeping patterns. She’s 10 weeks old, so I’m not using it to actually come up with a schedule yet.
But! It is annoying that to use 2/3 of the “insights” you have to buy NodBabySleepCoachTracker ...but I mean that’s not uncommon with these apps. It’s whatever, annoying but not unexpected.
What is unexpected and makes me want to delete NodBabySleepCoachTracker ...is that for the last 13hrs it will not record any of my daughters nursing sessions! I’ve tried “tracking” them and I’ve tried manually putting them in...and yet it nothing happens. It still says she hasn’t eaten in almost 14hrs 🙄 which defeats the whole purpose of NodBabySleepCoachTracker for me

Needs an update

2024-11-17

The time function never stays the first time I adjust it and it’s so frustrating to have to go back multiple times to change the time and make sure it’s right. Also wish there was a solid food option. Nothing too in-depth, I just feel the advice would be more accurate if it didn’t look like my 10 month old was starving on the charts. There’s also sometimes a significant lag when trying to move about NodBabySleepCoachTracker . I just think NodBabySleepCoachTracker needs some refreshing to allow everything to run smoother and make its users happier!

Generally good, but laggy

2024-11-17

NodBabySleepCoachTracker is mostly really easy to use, and has useful articles and recommendations, especially if you have a specific sleep goal that you are working on.

However, sometimes it is extremely laggy. To the point where it isn’t always clear whether it has started recording a sleep or feeding session. It also doesn’t work without a data connection.

Nod believer!

2024-11-17

We started using the free Nod when our little one was still too young for sleep training just to track his days. It was a huge help to discover his natural rhythm which we’ve used to get him on a schedule that fits his needs and makes our day-to-day easier. He is now 15 weeks so we are just beginning sleep training and upgraded to the premium membership. It is not only so valuable for the coaching, but also the encouragement. In the midst of a tougher day I just love opening NodBabySleepCoachTracker and seeing “you and baby got this, keep doing what you’re doing”.

This is our first little one which means a lot of learning, but Nod is helping us feel more guided and in control. So grateful for Nod!

It works!!!

2024-11-17

After only about a week of logging and working towards the goal of sleeping through the night, we did it! Love that NodBabySleepCoachTracker is gentle and encourages parents to choose how they soothe their child.

I also like the feature of creating your own bedtime routine that works for your baby and your family. Still continuing to use NodBabySleepCoachTracker to track sleep and nursing as we work on an earlier bedtime.

App was easy to use, and I appreciated the nighttime friendly color scheme. Lots of improvements have come to NodBabySleepCoachTracker since I started using. Appreciate all the thought the developers have put into this to make my life as a momma a little bit easier.

Fantastic app, can’t believe it’s free!

PROS:
– great design
– fairly intuitive
– great features
– lots of options for goals to add (wean from swaddle, wake later, sleep without tv, reduce bedtime tantrums, etc)
– LOVE the articles (great info, but quick and easy to read)

CONS:
– it is difficult to edit entries if you forgot to track, took me a while to find the feature, but FYI you can tap on the “start time,” “end time,” or “duration” and edit it before saving an entry, if you have already saved it, you just have to delete it and create a new one
– it would be nice to be able to track more than one baby

I did have some issues at the start, but the developers were very quick to respond and help me find the problem. I know that they are also already working on making it even easier to use and to add more functionality like tracking multiple babies. They clearly really take pride in NodBabySleepCoachTracker and really care about making it amazing.

The help we've been looking for!

2024-11-17

My son has never been a consistent sleeper and it's been hard for me to pinpoint why, especially in the middle of the night when I'm too exhausted to remember what times we got up.

NodBabySleepCoachTracker makes it so easy to log when your baby sleeps, and when they don't with the click of a button. They give you frequent, REALISTIC, recommendations on how to improve your baby's sleep, and yours! Whether it's your routine, feedings, or something else, they are educated and on top of it!

I have passed this onto fellow mommy's who are desperate for some help and they have thanked me.

Incredible!

NodBabySleepCoachTracker is the best! My son was not sleeping in his own crib upon returning from vacation. He was waking up every 45 minutes or every hour. It was through NodBabySleepCoachTracker and the goals that I got him to sleep in his own bed again. It also helped us drop his middle of the night feeding. We still use it to track his eating and sleeping patterns. If you need help getting your baby to sleep, self-soothe, drop a feeding, fall asleep without a pacifier and many other things, you NEED NodBabySleepCoachTracker!
