Useless. Tells you the UV Index but you can get that from the Weather app. Would be useful if it notified you when UV is higher or lower than X e.g. when it's safe to go outside. Otherwise you just have to keep opening UVIndexNow .

I already purchased the pro version and i try to open in my apple watch and it won’t do it. It always kick me out from UVIndexNow .
So disappointed because this is one of your app advantage that i really hope can be used.

UVIndexNow worked perfectly until it didn’t. It used to log the UV index to HealthKit every time I opened UVIndexNow , which was perfect.
However, as of a week ago, it stopped all logging inexplicably. Can’t tell if this is due to a bug or is supposed to be a subscriber option. Will change rating if this changes. As for now, it is a pain to log UV index to the HealthKit every single time.

I like the comprehensive information provided by UVIndexNow; especially the function that takes cloud cover into account. I give it two stars because UVIndexNow hangs up on my first location of the day and I have to delete and re-install UVIndexNow in order for it to change locations. I had an IPhone 7 until this week when I upgraded to an iPhone 10. I experienced this problem with both versions of the IPhone. I would like to give UVIndexNow a better review; I hope that this issue is addressed soon.

This is UVIndexNow I was looking for. I downloaded every iOS UV index app. I hated all of them. And then I found this one. I’ve used it for a week now. And I’m pleased. It’s a very simple yet highly functional, informative app. I like how it displays the UV index in decimals. My local UV index source rounds up or down. And speaking of my local IV index source, I’ve been comparing this apps UV rating with several other websites. It is very accurate. And I trust it. I really just got involved in skincare. And sunscreen. And the sun is something I now take very seriously. I have no complaints. I do look forward to perhaps an update in the near future perfecting UVIndexNow or adding new features. But at the moment I can’t really think of anything to suggest. Thank you!

Weather report knows % cloud cover (e.g. 90%) and tapping lower left cloud icon drops primary UV index display from 10.5 to 3, but the UV Forecast details block doesn’t change, continues to show 10.5 and associated time to burn, making times useless for cloudy conditions.

I was thinking about upgrading to the paid version but I have had issues with UVIndexNow getting stuck in a certain location or time period and refusing to budge (not even with a soft restart). Think I will be moving on to a more reliable app.

Excellent info but I’m accustomed to a weather app that allows checking multiple cities by scrolling through the ones you’ve chosen. It keeps them as a list or choices
I have to put the place each time & the only screen you get is the last one you picked.

UVIndexNow looks good but I only installed it to use it as a watch face “complication”, however, despite the watch setup app seeing UVIndexNow it won’t show up as one of the possible complications for any watch face. Tried restarting the phone to no avail.

The iPhone app is great but it won’t open/keeps crashing on the watch. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and still have the same issues.

UVIndexNow works great in Australia! I love the ability to toggle on or off taking cloud cover into account, and seeing the forecast for the next few hours. However, trying to use it in the US it just crashes. I can't find a way to contact the developer for support, I'm an engineer and happy to cooperate, but no contact method seems to be available.

Update for v1.3:

What a great update! Very reliable syncing with the watch now. It's now replaced my previous UV app in my watch dock. The update has a ton of useful info and thank you for adding Fahrenheit! I upgraded to Pro and don't regret it. Would love to see the complication come back and it's a five-star app! As a pale person that loves the sun, this is invaluable. Keep up the great work!

The aesthetics are good, the information is delivered well, like the option to add skin type. However, it doesn't update on my watch. Just says "open main app" and when I open the phone app, it does nothing. Also the nothing shows up at all on the small complication at all. S2, on 3.2.2. Would also like the option for Fahrenheit. I would upgrade to pro with those fixes.

I like UVIndexNow and especially its UI design. The bug I want to report is that the UV data won’t get updated unless you close UVIndexNow and then restart/reopen again. Basically UVIndexNow background refreshment is not working (which is enabled). Please kindly fix this issue.

Came across UVI Mate app as part of a television review of “must have” summer products. UVIndexNow is not only visually appealing, it’s also easy to use and provides one with tips and reminders regarding protecting oneself from harmful UV! Well done, guys!

I recently downloaded UVIndexNow, and what a great app it is. My previous app was let’s say ‘sometime ish‘. As a person with a sun allergy, it’s very important that I have accurate information that is going to help me stay safe, and UVIndexNow does that.

My original review was one star. App just updated. Now it’s great. Very happy.

Pressing the sun tan lotion crashes UVIndexNow . I purchased UVIndexNow for iwatch, it would be nice to perhaps have a second screen that shows sun rise and sun set. By the way I also use UVIndexNow for monitoring by potential solar panel output for the day. I like UVIndexNow but obviously the crashing has to be fixed and adding the sun set/rise would be five stars for me.

Now the watch part of UVIndexNow is no longer updating.

Update 2019. UVIndexNow on the watch still does not update. Looks like UVIndexNow has been abandoned.

Moving from San Diego, CA to Phoenix, AZ was an adjustment to say the least and it’s no surprise the increase in protection required to withstand the suns damaging UV rays. UVIndexNow provides reminder messages to reapply sunscreen or seek shade when it’s the most damaging times of the day. We get caught up in our daily routines, it’s very easy (& dangerous) to forget.

Most apps give you a UV number. Now what! Your in the grass clouds in the sky what’s the number mean now? Winter time your in the snow cloudy day are you safe? UVIndexNow tells you really and keeps you out of what I like to say “Harms Way “ ! UVIndexNow helps you protect yourself and your family! I am not kidding down load it now! I purchased the pro version. UVIndexNow crashes when you click on the sunscreen reminder. I emailed them and got no response not even to try to help. Maybe their customer service is not the same as American customer service. Please be forewarned.

UVIndexNow won’t show me what the cloud thing means and also I said that I don’t want to be reminded to put sunscreen on yet I got the notifications anyway😒
