World Geography Reviews

I’ve used Your World on and off many times but want something where I can see borders when I score. This World Geography is very different than the other, and that's fine. The problem I have is that it's actually very ugly once getting past the logo. It's a great logo and I expected better inside WorldGeography . Even the keyboard is dreadful.

Not only is the map unattractive, it moves badly. I don't expect the clunky discontinuity when I move the map since nothing else has to resort to looking like it overloads the computing power available.

I have more success studying Google Earth to learn countries, borders, etc.

To make this be a better game it needs two things: when it is showing you a country to name, the map needs to be bigger. And when you guess wrongly, it needs to show you where the country was that you guessed. For instantce, if you guess Botswana, But it is Mali, It needs to show you where Botswana is. I have been having Google maps open just so I can go back-and-forth to find out where the country is that I thought it was. That helped a little. But I would really like to know the countries and this is not helping me a lot. It also has the options so that you can learn all different kinds of information about each country. I cannot imagine going past knowing what the capital of the country is. Right now I’m just trying to find the countries. So other than these two problems that I mentioned before, it is a very thorough game. Just a little too much for me.

It does alright keeping up to date but it seems like every 10 questions or so (if I use all topics and locations) my answer is actually correct but marked wrong because they have outdated data. Some of the flags are the wrong color and or design that makes them harder to correctly identify. Wrong colors, borders, etc. The religion percentages for some places are wrong too. I wish they would list their sources for answers.

I love WorldGeography; it has filled in numerous gaps in my knowledge of world geography. Suggestion: It would be nice if there were an offline practice mode; also, it would be nice to be able to LOOK at all the flags (at once, not just individually in the encyclopedia) without being tested on them, for study purposes. A (searchable) map would be helpful, as well, which one could consult outside the game. Thank you!

p.s. Where are the Canadian provinces? Let’s not ignore our neighbors to the north!

Enjoy the game a lot, but a couple of times now, the screen has gone blank except for the world background splash screen leaving no way to return to the previous screen — still trying to figure out the circumstances that preceded the crash.

Also, on the iPad, I can’t turn the iPad upside down or sideways — the game always stays with the charging cable at the bottom. I can get the iPad to change/flip to other orientations on the display, but the game won’t change.

Another confusing issue is as I get around ? Level 10 or above, the game reduces number of questions available until there zero questions — No reason given. I finally realized that issue is related to how many hearts or hearts with pluses I have acquired. I guess time to take a break and do other stuff that needs to be done anyhow.

I really enjoy WorldGeography. I’ve learned a lot just from WorldGeography but it also can prompt you to just look into stuff on your own. It can definitely get challenging, especially at the higher levels but feels really rewarding when you get some right.

Only thing I can mention is that some heads of state need to be updated but not a giant concern.

I got WorldGeography so I could study up when I play Worldle. Its great! There’s not a crazy amount of ads, but I paid a few bucks to get rid of them, the creators deserve it! Helps me achieve my goal of being able to recognize all the countries on Earth, while gamifying it just enough to keep me engaged. I’d highly recommend.

I need to learn political map geography like the country’s and the capitals because my school doesn’t teach the country’s and capitals and I need to know that stuff because whenever some one talks about a place I never heard of I always don’t know the country and it is embarrassing but thanks to this great app I can learn this places because of this great app that has even more than I wanted thank you

Really engaging app for learning with a simple intuitive layout and customization options. Easy to jump in and start learning. No annoying popups and a leveling system that keeps things interesting. I wish all apps were this straightforward and I prefer this one to all the other geography apps I’ve tried.

The game has increased my knowledge of countries of the world especially in areas where I feel I’m weak. The questions are repeated at intervals so that the information you are learning is reinforced. The ads are there but they are not obnoxious as in some games where the ads go on and on. This is certainly one of the better games insofar as truly increasing knowledge.

WorldGeography is great and so filled with information. I love playing and learning something new every day. The only change I would make is having the option to play a sound clip of the pronunciation of country/city. It’s one thing to know where a place is, another thing entirely to be able to say it correctly

WorldGeography is straight to the point and genuinely entertaining. It is perfect for both geography nerds and ordinary people looking to improve. WorldGeography is not infested with ads and it is free to play. I totally recommend this. One of the best parts is that you can select what questions you want to answer. You can do 25 questions on African Capitals, or 50 questions on USA state flags. You can even mix and match them all together and there is so much more things to practice than I can even mention. Only room for improvement that I see is maybe adding a tutorial or something to explain WorldGeography to new people playing. However do not let that change your mind on WorldGeography because it’s not too hard to figure out. WorldGeography is totally a 5/5.

I’ve learned so much from this game and it’s also connected to Wikipedia if you want to learn more about the country. I played it along time ago and then got away from it for some reason and I just came back today. I’m surprised how much I still remember but I did create a new profile so I wouldn’t be starting out on such a high-level

It’s a great game for children and adults. I haven’t spent too much time playing, but from my experience, it’s a fantastic app to get you to know all the countries, capitals, etc of the world. It has an in-game encyclopedia which has information such as the capital, size of country, population, etc. The game is really engaging as there is a leaderboard for all those competitive people like me. To add on, it isn’t overall hard to make you quit from anger and frustration. It has a mix of everything you can want in a geography game, and I strongly recommend this to children, or just anybody that wants to improve their knowledge of the world! Great job developers, keep up the good work! :)

This is a very fun game. I love geography and I’m not very good with Capital cities so this is a challenging game for me. However it’s not so challenging that I get angry when I get a question wrong. It’s also not so easy that I get bored of it. I only downloaded this game maybe 30 minutes ago as I write this, but for the time that I was on my phone in these 30 minutes I was using WorldGeography. Very good app. I would recommend downloading it.

I wasn't so much into geography until I found WorldGeography I find it, captivating that you can hit the information and find out where, and much more information about every country in the world I find it fascinating how much I've learned. I appreciate WorldGeography, and I enjoy it very much. it's very nice app too. It's easy to use it's fun it's colors are brilliant five stars. I would give it if 10
if there was such a rating.

Love the game, I play it multiple times a day. Just wanted to say that a “country chat” feature where you can talk to the other players that are playing under your country would be amazing and a wonderful improvement. To be able to talk about your countries standing and scores as well as coordinate and what not would be super cool, as well as a great way to make friends with the people you are playing with.

I’ve had this game for a few months now, and I’m really enjoying it. You can choose the topics you wish to study, the length of the games you play, and the continents you want to focus on. As you level up, you unlock more options for games, which is an incentive to keep playing!

It requires lives to play the games, and XP to level up, but both are extremely easy to acquire. You earn a life every 5 minutes, so you’re not forced to wait days/watch ads/pay money.

Speaking of money, this game has an awesome currency and leveling system. The more you play, the more medals you earn, which boost your XP. You unlock more game modes as you go along. You can collect chests, hints, and extra lives and trade these in for items you want more. Best of all, it’s entirely free.

I totally recommend this game for any geography nerds who want a fun way to pass time.

I’ve really improved my knowledge of geography many times over from simply playing this a few times randomly throughout the day.

If I could suggest one major thing, I’d ask that (when the volume is on) the countries, states, etc. are pronounced when selected to help the player better learn how to then pronounce these places for themselves.
