SFST Report Reviews

My review is actually more of a suggestion to the developer and I’m happy to remove it if they would like. The photos used to demonstrate how SFSTReport can be used have several flaws. Firstly, the officer’s report says that the suspects eyes displayed different pupil sizes, and uneven tracking. Then it goes on to give the results of his HGN test. If a suspect has uneven tracking OR different pupil size, they are automatically ineligible for SFSTs. Secondly, it shows the suspect having nystagmus at maximum deviation in only one eye, which I guess is technically possible, but in my experience almost non-existent In the real world. Maybe just have an actual cop write one up and change the names so it’s actually realistic. Just lends a little more of an air of credibility to SFSTReport from the start.

SFSTReport is good in its functionality. I am actually in the process of trying to get SFSTReport approved for my agency to put on city cell phones for officers. My concern is personal information security. When I ad in the suspect’s information, who is getting access to it. It doesn’t seem like Apple can confirm the security of SFSTReport and that is a problem.

I have used SFSTReport a couple of times since I’ve gotten it, and even played around with it some with my fellow officers. However, I do not see the need for the membership, let alone $5/mo or $45/yr for a membership. I’d be better with a “one-and-done” payment, and LEO only verification.

Again, great app, but my only issue is the monthly or annual membership costs.

SFSTReport works great. SFSTReport assists officers in maintaining organization throughout the DUI investigation while making the process much quicker and easier. Two additions id like to see in the future is a section for vehicle in motion with selectable most common DUI driving indicators as well as your reason for stop. I'd also like to see the ability to edit the narrative template used within SFSTReport , so officers could add their style or incorporate their department policies into the preprogrammed narrative template.

I think this is a great tool, however, I am a SFST instructor. A required instruction for the Walk and Turn is, “and do not stop until you have completed the test.” You can not count the subject’s pausing as one of the 8 clues if you do not give the instruction. It is part of the standardized test! The instructions in SFSTReport omitted that instruction, which could create problems for the officer up on the witness stand under cross examination by the defense.

This application is great for DUIs and have the tasked for Seated Field Sobriety. I work on the water and make Boating Under the Influence BUIs all year long here in Florida. This tool would next level if there was a vessel in motion section. I can provide common observations if you would like to add this option.

SFSTReport is packed full of functional, user-friendly features! It gets the job done! I would like to see additional features such as Intox. reporting, as I feel it would completely evolve SFSTReport from being just a standard SFST app. Great product though!

I was using SFSTReport last night on an older phone, and the “share” icon was missing. I reported it to support, quite late a night, and got almost an immediate response. The issue was resolved by the following mid-morning. How many app developers do that?

DUI is my thing. I would make a DUI arrest every night if I could. I’m very adept at administering SFST/ARIDE from memory on the roadside. Where your app is invaluable, though, is reviewing my body cam and thoroughly documenting every clue for my report. Defense attorneys have frequently complimented me on my rock solid cases that they don’t want to put in front of a jury. Having solid, consistent reports is key to that, and your app is a huge asset to that end.

I love SFSTReport! It is a great asset in the field when conducting field sobriety tests! The report feature is very nice and helps cut down on paperwork time a bit, though I have to modify the report to our department standards. Buy the full app, you won’t regret it!

I love SFSTReport it has everything I need to make my report easy and very accurate, I have been using it over 10 years now. I recommend it for all LEO’s….

SFSTReport is awesome. Easy to use and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Will never ever use anything else ever again.

SFSTReport is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. I would, however, rearrange some of the walk and turn diagrams to make them easier to fill out quickly. Overall, love it.

This is a good app to have if you find yourself conducting a lot of DUI investigations. The big issue I have with SFSTReport is the formatting when you email the report to yourself.

A recent update to SFSTReport made it possible to save reports in a PDF.

So I use SFSTReport a lot. DUI’s are big and prominent in my area for sure and SFSTReport makes it pretty easy to get a quick little guide down for your Fields. I do with they added a way to put the blood analysis in and also just counted the clues once you submit your test results. I think it’d make it a tad quicker and overall just better. Truthfully don’t have much to complain about with SFSTReport and recommend it to everyone especially those who don’t handle DUI’s regularly.

I have been using SFSTReport since me and my partner found it about a year ago. We have noticed how easy it is to use and recommend it to anyone who asks about improving efficiency in field sobriety testing. It is really easy to use and it keeps improving.

Wish I had this when I started 25 years ago. All of the data is compiled for your report in a comprehensive way.
I recommend every cop to use SFSTReport. It was obviously made by a very experienced police officer.

SFSTReport is a great tool to use out in the field. I usually put the information in to SFSTReport while waiting for the tow truck to show up. Transport the subject put them on the intox. Then email the report to myself. Copy it past into our reporting system done and on to the next one. Happy hunting.

Love SFSTReport and the features it has. Cuts down my report writing time. You’ll still have to add a few things to your narrative, which is expected to make it sound more “personal” if that makes sense. All in all I give it 4.9 out of 5.

It would be nice if it also had a feature that allowed me to read Indiana’s Complied Consent!

This is a great tool to help the Law Enforcement officers ensure convictions and keep drunk drivers off the street!SFSTReport to help me keep track of all of my DWI notes. It's missing two article and that is "was the vehicle in motion?", "Did the vehicle cross the centerline/fog line?" That will help strengthen your probable cause. SFSTReport does freeze at some parts but once you close it re open it, issues are solved. Not bad for the report either!! Get SFSTReport ! A few of these updates were added!! Simple and stunning!

It basically does the meat and potatoes of the report you just have to put in your two cents here and there to spice it up a little but it’s worth it all day..
