Sleep Sounds: relaxing sounds Reviews

SleepSounds has everything that you could possibly need in terms of sleep sounds. Whether you’re looking for sweet little lullabies to soothe your baby or city sounds to lull you off to sleep. Nature, from lightning storm to squawking birds to waves crashing, is well represented. True white noise is also offered. I have only one complaint and that is that you aren’t able to sample the various tracks before downloading them and you pick based on a photo. A picture may saw a thousand words but it may not always be the best way to describe a sound. Download times can be up to two minutes (longer if you have especially bad WiFi) so samplers would really help. Deleting unwanted sounds is very easy though.

Has made a positive difference to my sleep. I am light sleeper, and this does two things - waterfall lulls me, and masks sounds in the environment. My wife, bless her sweet heart, can be a snorer at times. My neighbor across the way from our bedroom can be oblivious and is noisy with coming and going at all hours. The waterfall splash is good for masking the slamming car door sounds. Another sound I would enjoy is desert wind blowing through pine trees. Overall, I have derived benefit and more sleep. In our bedroom I have a Bose Mini Bluetooth speaker, leaving the iPhone out in the living room. Thanks for a sleep rescue app.

Love a lot of the sounds on there but I feel it’s lacking a couple sounds that should b a no brainer that they be in their library of sounds. They have like 4-5 sounds of waves crashing on a beach but where is the babbling brook or the river?? The sound of water that you get when you buy those lil electronic machines that circulate water and you get to here the water as it hits rocks, nice and slow and comforting... it’s not in there :/ which is odd since ppl buy those lil things and these developers can’t put that in there? Just a gigantic oversight that I feel is very obvious that it needs to be in there as an option

I like SleepSounds for relaxing sounds while falling asleep. I like that you are able to choose which sounds to download so SleepSounds 's size stays minimal. I also like that you can remove sounds you don't need and see how large the sound files are as well. One request is to be able to see which sounds are already downloaded. I'm already using the favorites feature so the sounds I've downloaded are easy to find. Nice app.

The other sleeping apps I've tried sound recorded. The lightening and the unicorn music box on this one both sound like it's happening right next to you. These are the only two I've tried so far. I'm only using the built in speaker on my iPad too! The builder did a great job with these recordings. I've tried five other apps that received 5 stars but I'm stopping at this one as my "go to" when it's time for sleep :-) Love it!

At first I had the volume turned up and the tracks downloaded, but zero sounds from all that I tried. 😕 The developer replied to my original negative review and said to adjust the volume slider, now it works. Funny thing is I didn’t see a volume slider the first few times I tried SleepSounds .

Now SleepSounds seems to work fine and I appreciate the developer responds to reviews. 👍

It has just enough options to weird you out when it comes to what sounds people find soothing enough to help them fall asleep AND you are guaranteed to find your very own favorite. Mine is the thunder & rain... or the really loud thunder though, it’s a bit too much. Also, be weary of one of the two gongs... you’ll know it when you feel it.

The sound quality and variety are really good. The sounds are very relaxing to me. I like that you can download only the sounds you want, thereby saving space on your device not having to have sound files you won't use. Highly recommended!

Loved the idea of the multiple environment sounds, however many are fairly similar, and some no quite what the picture displays.

One thing that ruins SleepSounds for me if that for the one or two sounds i fall asleep to, you can heard the “loop” restart as there is a light pause, and then sound continues.

Pause if long enough (even if just a skip) to snap my brain out of falling asleep, and reengage consciousness to find out why it got quiet all of the sudden.

I’m using a 6th generation iPad running iPad OS 13.4.1. I can’t get the alarm time to be anything other than 12:00AM. When I attempt to change the hours, minutes or AM/PM, they always immediately revert back to 12:00AM. It also seems that I can’t contact the developer since SleepSounds Support link sends me to his Google+ account which obviously doesn’t work anymore.

SleepSounds includes a variety of different sounds for relaxation & other needs, but the BIGGEST negative for me is that you have to click on each picture & download each sound separately & that takes an inordinate amt of unnecessary time & effort. I'm not keen on most of the available sounds & I have other apps that work better for me. Everyone's interests are different, so give it a try & see if this is SleepSounds for you. 😊

Most sleep apps require you to buy hours. In SleepSounds you can choose over 13 hours of sleep! Every night I listen to this and it is a true life saver. I personally LOVE the fan noise. I used to have terrible sleep problems and with SleepSounds I sleep like a baby again. Thanks for creating this ! xoxo

This is one of the best apps I've ever installed. Just a small change if it works great. We can also use the software in our gallery for morning alarms. It's a pity that so many beautiful sounds can't be used as morning alarms. Thank you for your attention

So worth the money. The audio is good
Quality and there and a wide variety. Not to mention, the sounds till play when the screen is off. Also, it doesn’t run your battery down.

Finally a soothing sound app that doesn't take all of your memory to have on your phone. Love the fact you can have only your favorites uploaded and none of the other sounds.

This instantly became my favorite background sounds/sleep app

The quality is great but most importantly the choices and selections that have been made shows someone who really knows what they’re doing

I'm a terrible sleeper, but SleepSounds helps me zone out enough to finally get some rest. Plus, the wind-up unicorn figurine in SleepSounds is the exact same as one I had as a child. Mine broke, and I was so sad to lose it. Seeing it in SleepSounds made my heart happy.

I like SleepSounds , but hate that it won’t leave me alone until I rate it. Would’ve been higher rating, but I’m dinging it because it keeps asking if I’m satisfied. Message to developer about coercing reviews.
