downaloded CountdownWidgetTimers at the start of the widget craze. i loved it!!! i thought the fonts were really cute and i liked the ability to put an image in the back and stuff. really great stuff. then, one day, they decided to remove the ability to put images in the bg of your countdowns (ie they made it premium), which was GENUINELY TERRIBLE. who makes a feature that was initially free for money? but i got over it; i put colors in the background instead and it was fine. one of my recent countdowns just finished, so i went to edit it (to count down to something else that’s upcoming). well, surprise!!! now, you can’t make your countdowns use the units “year,” “month,” and “week” unless you’re a premium user. are you actually serious? this event is 155 days away - 5 months, actually, which i have on my home screen now that i’ve switched to another app. it so frustrating that this great app decided to monetize all of its most integral features. once i’m done with my last countdown (which still has rhe months unit since i made it before this disastrous update and i haven’t edited it or anything recently), i’m def switching over to another app. you can literally get all of this for free using other apps so idk why they deuces to make people pay … like i honestly hate switching apps and i still like the fonts on this one a lot, but it’s just not worth it anymore. come on bro. stop succumbing to the allure of money

I’ll update my review if the problem gets fixed. For weeks now I get an error trying to make the background an image. So now my countdown is just ugly. I paid for the lifetime upgrade and now I’m mad I did. CountdownWidgetTimers took away my custom background on my countdown and every time I go to add it back it says try later. I’m over it. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. So disappointed.

i downloaded CountdownWidgetTimers, excited for my birthday! i have downloaded many apps i’ve decided to try this one to try and find one that is no paying that i can make a widget for my home screen. once i downloaded it i was reading “how to use” and i was excited i thought this would be an app i could make a widget for free. but no. it said “3 days free then 7.99 fee” so i clicked continue thinking it’ll give me my 3 days free trial then tell me it was up and it’ll no longer be working or something, but it told me to type my password in to buy it! so quickly i deleted CountdownWidgetTimers . 0/10 do NOT recommend

I was looking for more Widget apps to go with this new update and I wanted to decorate my screen a little. I came across CountdownWidgetTimers and I thought it seems pretty legit. Come to find out you have to pay more for all the good stuff of course. I didn’t mind paying cuz the widgets looked really cool. I paid and absolutely nothing was unlocked. Money wasted!! I tried refreshing my app and restarting my phone but still, NOTHING WAS UNLOCKED. So pretty much this is a scam, highly disappointed and I’m probably never gonna to get my money back >:(

When I first got CountdownWidgetTimers the free features were pretty decent but it recently updated and now basically nothing works with the free version. You can no longer select what time units (weeks, days, hours, etc) you want to use, which severely limits the functionality. Plus it added way more ads. Not cool, devs. Not cool.
Planning on deleting it and getting some different one.

While I love CountdownWidgetTimers, I don’t understand with the iOS 15 update why all of my photos have totally disappeared and every time I go to reload them I get an error message. Perhaps the developers can help with this, or at least explain why it’s happening

I loved CountdownWidgetTimers to countdown to important dates, but as soon as I updated it (Jan 15th @ 1:00) it shows nothing but a black square. I already restarted my phone twice, and added the widget back and it STILL shows nothing but a black square. What is the issue! I loved CountdownWidgetTimers until I updated it.

I really like a lot of aspects of CountdownWidgetTimers including how colorful and cute and easy it is!!! One downside is I read the instructions on adding the widget to the home page so I wouldn’t have to keep opening CountdownWidgetTimers but it didn’t work and the directions don’t come up again after the first time!

I like CountdownWidgetTimers a lot. I’ve really gotten into stacked widgets.
I LIKE...
1) You can use multiple widgets simultaneously.
2) Great appearance customization.
WHAT REALLY NEEDS WORK...
1) Repeats are only annually. Whaaat?! Need a lot more options than that. I have to manually reset my repeating countdowns.
2) Notifications. Should default to countdown ending time unless changed. Nope. All manually set. It would be nice to have a repeating reminder until acknowledged. The one small notification is easy to miss.
CountdownWidgetTimers comes so close but not quite yet. I’m encouraged by the developer’s commitment to improving CountdownWidgetTimers . I TEFUSE TO RENT software & at $10, which I would pay, I would like to see more emphasis on the actual countdowns and less on window dressing before I purchase.

Really love the simplicity about CountdownWidgetTimers and the design but a little upset that when you buy a color for .99 cents that it does not unlock it for all ur future countdowns. That is a rip off for sure. I know u can upgrade to 5.99 to get most all colors and themes but if I buy a color for the letters I should be able to use it for multiple. I also don’t know if the 5.99 is monthly or what it is as it does not say.

Love this widget! Only down sides are that (currently) it doesn’t update on the homescreen & the halloween theme isn’t available for the small size like in the advertised pictures. Hoping that it will be added & the one I bought for the large size will be usable between both! Otherwise userface is pretty simple & easy to get around & set ✨

I really like CountdownWidgetTimers. You can set up a widget with your countdown quite easily and it gives you a number of options including using your own photos or artwork. Free version works quite well on its own but you might want to consider purchasing for additional options

I downloaded this on my phone, bought the premium version, then downloaded to my iPad only to find that the premium version didn’t transfer. I do not want to pay for this twice. Update:

I paid to have an app that displays widgets on my Home Screen to keep track of important events and this does not do that. If you want a widget for your Home Screen, move on!
Update: They informed me that they will have it out soon. Apple jumped the gun on iOS 14 so I understand. The widget can be on the search screen but not on the Home Screen and that’s fine for now. I’m glad they got back to me so fast. Good people. It will be 5 stars once this is good to go 👍

Very easy to use and love that you can use it as a widget, only reason I didn’t give it the 5 stars is bc there aren’t many options for the free template. The default/free one it comes with is okay but wish there was at least a few to choose from.

This is the best countdown app I’ve found. I love the different widgets. They are so colorful and bring character to the events I want to countdown. I hope there will be more widgets in the future. Oh and easy CountdownWidgetTimers is very easy to use.
