Just bought a new dinantronics sport because read about it and had very nice reviews, but the thing that won me over and number one decision maker was the live boost gauge. When received and install the product on the iPhone app it just lets me change from stock, sport, sport+ and race.. no boos gauge activation or settings to do it.. I am very disappointed at that. You guys should remove the live boost data from your information paragraphs about the dinantronics sport.

For your update you should have written Generated major bugs instead of fixed minor ones. I’m surprised it passed Apple review because the core functionality doesn’t work. Swipe up down to select Boost mode seems working (though sometimes no mode being selected and the phone vibrates on tap, no idea what it means), but swipe left/right does nothing. No gauge!

Really confused at DSPORT, I push race mode but not sure if I'm in race mode. When I open app again at a later time, it doesn't show which mode I'm on, so not sure if I'm actually in race mode or sport plus

Could be a lot better, needs a screen that shows which mode Dinan sport is on now, tutorial in app to help as well

The new update is worse than the previous version. New feature allows you to select your engine. In my opinion, it’s useless because the Dinan Sport Performance Tuner automatically detects the engine type. Swiping left or right does nothing. Live boost gauge doesn’t work. If I could give half a star I would.

You’d think a company so reputable and so amazing would not let some crappy app stop their customers but it’s yet to be addressed or even remotely fixed , DSPORT does not show a boost gauge for one, two it does not give you 30-50 additional horsepower , so all in all DSPORT is garbage and dinan doesn’t seem to care to address the hundreds of horrible reviews about that , and they false advertise to get you to spend 300 bucks. I’ve emailed dinan several times and to my not so shocked state…. No reply . You’re leading your company towards rock bottom guys.. fix DSPORT or make changes for god sake

The application changes tunes on its own to Valet mode. The application does not let the driver know what tune they are in. Dinan does not seem to care what the application does as long as they sell products to the customers. As long as they fleece the customers. I will be reaching out to the AG office to report the company for selling worthless products. I have filed a BBB complaint as well. Dinan needs to know if they sell products to customers they must sell products that actually work or they will be reported.

Haven’t used DSPORT in a while. Launched it the other day to check if boost level is still where I left it last and discovered DSPORT doesn’t work anymore. iOS 15.2. All I see is a blank screen showing “count: 0” and toggle between “scan” and “stop”.

I must second what I see above. Now I see why the dealer who installed Dinan on my car was not very encouraging when I asked about DSPORT . I hope the Dinan installed on my car is better than DSPORT . DSPORT gives instructions on pairing etc and nothing works and it shuts down completely. Hard to believe that such an outstanding product I’ve heard raves about is associated with a useless app. I would have given zero stars for DSPORT but I’m forced to give one. Until improved I say don’t waste your time.

Dinan with no doubt lives out to its name, and the tunes are great, but DSPORT is horrible, super buggy and constantly disconnects from the tune device, and it starts messing up with you want the change the different modes you want to use the tune on, also does not let you chose a mode while you want see the psi gauge for your turbos. I feel like dinan needs to fix the all if they are going to charge the amount they do for their products.

DSPORT sometimes works. Forget about seeing boost levels. Forget about easily changing between modes. I was pretty surprised really. I heard the original release was bad, this hasn’t gotten any better. I think my car is in sport plus?

I only recommend to a certain extent. It’s a good starter tuner for anyone wanting to go the cheap route but definitely not the best either. I bought mine about a month ago and installed it but it’s had a few problems. For one, the boost gauge doesn’t work in DSPORT , you can’t really feel any power difference and also the turbo lag for a base B38 F56 Mini is much worse than factory. Also, it threw a Drivetrain Malfunction warning due to the tune itself only because it adds boost. It doesn’t mess with anything else. This was a problem before with the Elite tuner apparently but that’s been resolved. What was going on was that the car wasn’t wanting to take the time because I’ve been told that it could have mixed numbers up in areas it shouldn’t have. Do I recommend it? Only if you’re looking at making your car quick on a budget, but if money isn’t an issue go with the Elite.

Dinan sells incredible upgrades that enhance BMWs and make them even better. Why on earth would they find it so hard to properly program IOS software and develop actual instructions for a better customer experience? This software does not do this product justice, and the poor execution of programming it and explaining it to Dinan customers would make most people think twice about purchasing this product over a similar tuner. The product seems to work well on my 228i. I just can’t always tell you why I select the functions I do, or why it sometimes allows me to change things, and other times I have to restart the software. The only plus is that once a mode is selected, it does not change on the tuner until another is accepted.

Looks like they recently updated the UI. Selecting my engine type was easy enough but the “swipe” feature was odd to use. I believe there was a pop up that said I could swipe left or right to get the boost gauge... but does not work. Setting the boost setting is fairly straight forward in the new UI.

Recently came from a GTI with APR tune. Now that APR and Dinan are working together I was hoping for a better app for the sport tuner N20 motor. I question if the vehicle is actually faster or not. App Alone makes me think about giving bootmod3 a try. I Hope DSPORT is getting worked on.

The boost gauges are gone and there is no real positive indication as to whether the module has excepted the setting. DSPORT seems to have few were features with every release. You are going in the wrong direction it should be getting better and it should be as good as everything else that your company does. Dinan is better than this.

App version prior worked wonderfully now new version 1.6 does not connect nor do I get a UI? Diantronics sport module is working and getting power but app no longer finds it via Bluetooth. Help. Thanks.

Not bad at all, easy to install and you can feel the power instantly but keep it in sport+ unless you are for some extra power!

I just received this tuner from dinan.. Love it.. easy to install takes 3 seconds . Phone didn't pair at first because I downloaded the wrong app, but as soon as I got the right one downloaded it booted right up. I keep it on sport plus +3.0 boost. I can feel the extra power on demand when I need it. Thanks for another amazing product dinan!

I don’t understand why DSPORT gets so many bad reviews, perhaps it’s because they are slow to update DSPORT when there is an iOS update? It’s a simple way to get a few extra horsepower and changing the map is very easy I don’t really have any complaints. Safe on the car never any check engine lights much safer than MHD tuner which I have had in the past and made my engine run poorly.

Well DSPORT was great until they updated it now you can’t see the boost gauge when driving.
