I’m the Lead Developer for an aviation training company and I used to have to keep my MacBook Pro with me at all times in case I ever needed to fix a bug or make a programming change on short notice. phpwin lets me handle that from anywhere with just my iPhone, and it does so very well! Plus the ability to test my changes to the application using the built-in server is phenomenal! The only thing that would make it better would be integration with the iOS Files app so that I could easily access our repositories via Working Copy. Other than that, I’m thrilled!

I love the concept. Do you plan on adding FTP support for uploading, downloading, moving files, etc.? As it stands, I can only rename and remove files.

This is the most high-quality development tool on iOS. It has many features that make it useful for working on a website. No other programming app on iOS has this amount of quality. This is one of my favorite apps.

Suggestions:
-save phpmyadmin credentials
-split view support
-install custom extensions
-store all files on cloud storage
-create custom file templates
-run a server-based database
-have multiple saved ftp logins
-enable shell_exec()
-ability to automatically execute a php script at an interval
-ability to run php scripts from the command line
-view folder sizes

Edit: I have now switched to Python and use PythonAnywhere. this app itself was awesome to use back when I used PHP

As it stands it’s the best php/html editor have seen so far on iPhone but I wanted to add bootstrap and jquery to it which I couldn’t do and I saw an update informing of zip/unzip which I went for and it was not working

I can't input chinese in IDE edit screen

Nice app would be very good if theres some kind of auto text recommendation in it like of sublime text editor

I tried a lot of pocket code editors. Mainly because the on-screen keyboards of so many are useless. I'm thrilled I found this one.

- *Real* PHP/HTML/JS/CSS playground in your pocket, that lets you actually *run* scripts right on your phone, even offline.

- Excellent keyboard with *ALL* the special characters you'd actually want for scripting easily accessible. Not just some minuscule random smattering of 5-7 toolbar buttons for single/double quotes, indenting, and maybe a few types of brackets if you're fortunate, like the toolbars of so many other pocket code editors.

- Code completion, auto-indenting, good syntax highlighting, in all the right places.

Just feels like phpwin was made as a tool by an actual programmer for himself and for actual programmers.

This company is stealing your money. If you want to restore purchase after having to reinstall everything on a new iPhone. Good luck. They will rape you of your money just trying to restore it. This company is a fraud. And should be charged as scammers. I am contacting apple now to prove they are stealing and will be taking to court.

Update: The developer is unprofessional. Complains about reviews when they are part of the new age of technology on apps. If you don’t like what I have to say erase your app. That simple.

This is the most complete tool of its kind and an outstanding example of excellence in iOS app development. It was clearly designed with a thorough understanding of how PHP code is created, integrated, and tested. Whether you are a beginner (in need of tutorials and extensive PHP documentation) or an experienced web developer (able to take advantage of access to scripts from user-created folders, ftp and phpMyAdmin for file management) you will not be disappointed in the performance of phpwin for developing PHP code. Its value as an armchair PHP testing and development tool is exponentially greater than the $3.99 cost of the paid upgrade which provides access to all of the functionality available. As a computer science professor and experienced Web developer (since 1998), I am rarely impressed with anything that costs only a few dollars. But this is a tool I use frequently and one I highly recommend for students and professionals alike. Purchase it before the price increases to what it is truly worth.

phpMyAdmin is locked and no where in the documentation did anyone think to write down the server, username, or password.

Helps me a lot when coding a website, because usually I would have to upload files to a server through FTP and then check them on the browser but now thanks to phpwin, I can code on the fly and test right here.

Another app that doesn’t give you a real on device php server. Hopes are to find a php server that will run on device so I can get results from php scripts phpwin however is the best if you just intend to develop php and don’t need an actually on device server. For lack of real on device server support and shortcut support I give phpwin 3 stars ✨

All the things I do with PHP (and I do much) seems to be supported by this fantastic product. Love it, love it.
