What makes HelloAI intolerable is the fake push notifications and app-badging; which don’t go away even if you pay for “Pro” features. Today I received three fake push notifications, along with the red badge, that were only designed to make me open HelloAI (presumably to serve me ads); I received no actual messages. In fact, I’ve never received a push or badge when I had a genuine message. Useless.

It’s dependency on having iPhone on a local network, in my case, is not a total dealbreaker, as I always have them both, but it’s a sad state of affairs.

At the same time, WhatsApp inexplicably refuses to play on iPad, so, as a matter of convenience for viewing and typing, I tolerate HelloAI and will silence it’s pointless notifications. HelloAI provides iPad accessibility, and that’s it. I paid for Pro as a way to support that, and feel cheated and abused that it still harasses me. It is, altogether, a horrible experience.

Functionality is almost as smooth as the iPhone’s, so on that bar it s not bad. However, the fact that you have to have your phone not only on the same network but have WhatsApp opened on the iPhone for the iPad WhatsApp to remain open makes HelloAI completely pointless.
FB Messenger beats WhatsApp in this regard, which I feel is the most important. When I get home, I toss my phone aside, and can seamlessly continue on FB messenger, which stays connected, and has full and functional push notifications on all devices, not just iPhone. WhatsApp iPad fails miserably here.

If you want to use HelloAI on iPad, and you don’t mind having the iPhone open right next to it with WhatsApp on iPhone also open, then you won’t mind HelloAI. If you’re like me, and you chuck the iPhone aside when you feel like using the iPad, HelloAI won’t let you.

Okay, so HelloAI’s fatal flaw is that it doesn’t notify me every time I get a new message EVEN WHEN the phone app is open/ active.
A few users had the issue in which the phone and other device (iPad) doesn’t sync together unless the phone app is remaining active. My case is pretty bad though, I have to manually open and check HelloAI on my iPad for it to load whatever that came in my phone first. Push notifications are non existent so you’re just gonna have to live with this until this is fixed. It’s pretty pointless having this on my device when the sole reason for HelloAI was to be alternative second in command to the main mobile app in notifications, but is instead like the little brother who was dropped on the head as a baby.

So I like hello ai it’s a good app but when I ask it something it takes like 10 or 15 seconds for it to let me type or do anything and it happened every single time I typed something in and second I asked it if it could make dialogue for a story I was making and there was a scene where someone punched someone and the ai couldn’t make it so I gave up after a while so please fix this and possibly change the violence thing please and thank you have a good day

Really happy I found HelloAI; works fine for me. I’m a senior citizen so I’m not too critical or picky about not having “perfection” at my age, smh, ...a former student of mine nagged me to get this (at least ways, so I could use my keyboard on my computer & iPad Pro and “finally” SEE THE PRINTED TEXTs he was sending me).

I have to say, yes, he was right.

Indeed, it would be nice, like in the original WhatsApp app, to be able to send voice messages & a photo or two, but, like I said, I’m too old to complain - heck I’m just glad to be alive to see all this technology I only ‘dreamed of’ as a young boy-!!! ☺️

HelloAI is overall pretty annoying to use ... quite a few things UX wise that are terrible. I have to tap twice on a particular chat on the left just to access it? When I tap to type a message, why does the keyboard overlap the bottom half of the chat window? It takes about 8 taps just to send a photo. I have to double tap on photos in the chat window just to view a larger image of it? And then once I do have it enlarged, it’s only ONE tap to enlarge which is the complete opposite of iOS? In a nutshell HelloAI is exhausting to use ... not getting why the iPhone version couldn’t be replicated, because that thing is perfect.

As someone who has always been fascinated by technology and its potential to transform our lives, I can confidently say that Hello AI is one of the most exciting and innovative platforms I've come across. From the moment I started using it, I was blown away by the depth and sophistication of the AI technology powering the platform. It's like having a personal assistant at my fingertips, helping me to make better decisions and achieve my goals more efficiently.

Loved being able to use What’s Up on my iPad but never for one minute thought a deletion of the IPad would simultaneously clear the postings on the iPhone. Another small aggravation, but still an aggravation is when keyboarding a message I will occasionally get an Alert Tone and the microphone icon which change from grey to white and I have to back space and correct. What causes the microphone to receive voice or background noises when it has as far as I know BEEN TURNED OFF..

OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE USING THE iPAD’S BIGGER KEYBOARD.

I was so excited when I finally found an app for the iPad. I had Jerry rigged one, can’t remember how, and then it went away so I kept checking HelloAI Store and finally...there you were! I don’t mind having my phone nearby so the iPad works and typing and reading is SO much easier for me in my iPad. The ONLY complaint I have is when I open it and am reading the latest entry it suddenly starts scrolling back SEVERAL days worth of messages! Wish that could stop. Doesn’t happen on the phone. Thus the 4 stars.

HelloAI is amazing. I really like the dark theme and it gave me great ideas for story writing, though i do wish i could use it more for free. I know i’m not the designers who worked hard to make this, but i do suggest making a free and pro version, free being this but slower and with a less advanced AI and the pro version being faster with the best AI. But honestly, i think it’s worth 5$ a week (15$ per month) because of how good the AI is

This is app has one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had on iOS. Push notifications don’t even work, so you literally have to open HelloAI to know if you’ve been messaged. However, HelloAI will send notifications reminding you it exists! Multiple times HelloAI has sent a notification saying “send notifications with WhatsPad!” It’s the most annoying app on my iPad. Not to mention the scroll view is buggy, and the interface is squashed & not formatted for the iPad screen at all.

Overall, one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The developers should be ashamed of this abomination, and work on making an experience that is user focused instead of geared for max ad views.

I have been using Hello AI for about a month now. I speak to the AI politely and I discuss all sorts of topics that the AI responds to positively. I do have two complaints about HelloAI and that is the random crashing and having to restars a conversation when it does eventually malfunction. I just want the AI to not tell me that, 'Something went wrong.' On the other hand there is no way to remedy this. As frustrating as that is I love HelloAI .

I use the iPhone version and it works great, but on iPad there are too many glitches. If you need to insert the cursor to correct a mistake, the text window you're typing in switches from the bottom of the screen to the middle of the screen, but doesn't insert the cursor, so you try again, but now it switches back to the bottom of the screen, but still no cursor. It's quicker to erase everything after your mistake and retype it all than it is to try and insert the cursor at a different point in your text. And opening HelloAI and conversations takes forever. I have time to thumb through Instagram while I wait for HelloAI to open and my conversation to load.

With I-message, my iPad is a great substitute for my phone. If I’m working on my iPad, i don’t have to get my phone out at all. I was trying to shift my peeps to WhatsApp because some use Apple and some don't and Apple (intentionally?) downgrades the quality of resolution in transmission of photos. But since I don’t get notification on my iPad, I need to back out of that move. Ugh

Also, the requirement to have the phone on is annoying. When my phone was dead - or I left it somewhere - I used to rely on my iPad. If people are using WhatsApp, you can't do that.

Using this on the newest 2017 iPad I found HelloAI to be very reasonable and very responsive. My only complaint is the layout for when the keyboard is launched it consumes nearly all of HelloAI 's real estate. Therefore I find myself having to minimize it often to read new messages as they came in while I am typing a response.

Double tapping a name to launch a chat I find to be an easy step - despite what others have negatively commented on. (Expecting a single click should suffice)

Pictures display fine. Message chime in. And you can respond directly from the iPad without having to pick up your phone.

In short, it works great and that is all one could ask. 5-stars

Im using the free version. Texting works great! I've had clear international video and phone conversations in the past (months ago) but lately (Nov 2017) they've been choppy, one side hears clearly while the other hears bits and peaces. App Suggestion: It would be helpful to be able to reply or react (emoji) to a past message/picture/video. Overall great to have as a communicating option.

HelloAI makes answering questions and generating content a breeze, and its follow-up prompts make it feel like your having a conversation with another person. The starter prompt on the Home Screen make it super easy and fun to use and really takes the thinking out of coming up with a specific prompt. Overall, I highly recommend Hello AI!

As far as iPad messaging apps go, this one is ok... but expect occasional notification issues. If WhatsApp is for critical work, double check your phone (don’t always expect the iPad app to be signed in).

Occasionally has issues with iPad Pro keyboard when switching back and forth between apps too (have to remove reattach keyboard, or switch apps again to get typing working).

Could do with some power shortcuts for iPad Pro to jump between messages as well.

HelloAI keeps asking to rate them so here I am. I haven’t been using it long enough to tell if I love it, hate it, or anything in between really.
So far it has worked fine except for a freeze and the layout is not my favorite. So with that I give a three. One star off for the freeze and layout, and one star off for the fact that I couldn’t catch a break until I wrote this.
Maybe I’ll come back and edit this whenever put HelloAI to use for a good while and really know how I feel.

Texting, voice and video calling to or from anywhere in the world, are you kidding me?!!!!! What an awesome service, and it's free! How can anyone complaint about small glitches every now and then, how can anyone complaint about the small banners with ads, when it is free, guys get real!

Thank you for a great App but most importantly for the awesome service and for making it available for anyone in the planet, for free!

I was gonna give it a 5 star rating because it worked so good until a few days ago, it stopped working. I asked a question but it just kept saying error. I had already updated by then. I don't know what happened because I've had this for up to a year now but it happened. Also, I did try to make an account but that also didn't work. So if you have any hacks or something to give me thanks but yep that's it.

I reviewed HelloAI thinking I was charged when I only wanted the 3 day trial. I mixed it up with a separate app charge that posted at the exact same time even though I had purchased it sometime earlier. I don't know how to delete my review, apparently only able to revise it. The developer contacted me and they were completely professional and I never got around to using it anyway so if you saw my previous review just disregard it completely.
