Can’t understand the 4+ ratings nor why is it still in PaintingGridMaker Store. Once you configure a grid in settings say squares 10x10, there’s no way to initialize it / reset it. Meaning when you save that image OR load a new one you want to divide in say 10x20 rectangles you will get that grid AND the previous one as well. So now you have two superimposed grids. So an and so forth. Totally unusable only you use the identical grid all the time.
Garbage. Check the revision history and last updated 3 or 4 years ago by Apple to work w the Apple Watch.
Like I said abandoned. Get rid of it!!

I love PaintingGridMaker I'm an art teacher and have been looking for an app that would help my students grid images on the go fairly easy and allow them to paint from those images. It does a great job adding a grid on any image easily while allowing you to change colors and the size of the grid lines which is super important. The biggest limitation that I found is with the control I have over the image itself for me to grid a picture to fit a canvas that 16 x 20 what I need the ability to take any picture and crop it so that the picture is a 16 x 20 format then I can decide if I want to add a 1 inch grid or 2 or anything else that works for me. For me if that feature was added it would make this a killer app.

Can’t save images and I can’t screenshot it either cause a huge add is covering the bottom half.
