Counter Tally Count Reviews

I would like to keep track of daily counts and start over each month. If CounterTallyCount could save each day and month’s count, it would be a perfect and easy way to compare months.

I love the customization with colors and arranging which made me hold onto it for so long and try to find solutions outside CounterTallyCount to keep track of monthly totals but it’s getting too much. Even when I set my counters back to 0 to start over the next month it counts it as a loss instead of just counting from scratch.

Main reason I have to let go of CounterTallyCount : it doesn’t keep track month to month so comparing would be made easy. I would love to come back to CounterTallyCount if that were implemented

I’ve used CounterTallyCount for years and not had a complaint until now. Suddenly it’s started losing count. To be fair this only happens at a very high count rate of 3 taps per second or higher, so it will still work for what most people ask of it. I, however, use CounterTallyCount for material take offs on construction prints. The count MUST be correct or it will cost me my job. Today I did a take off and the counter read 73. My instincts from 25 years of doing this job told me something was wrong, so I counted manually. The actual count was 127. Then it happened again on the next sheet: 94 indicated, 163 actual. I downloaded a different counter app and got correct counts in both cases. Sorry, but I’ve no use for a counter that loses count.

Hello! I really like CounterTallyCount and I love using the widget for quick easy access and counting. However the new widget is just not working.
I can’t see all my counters like I used to. Any time I click to make a tally it now opens up the entire app instead of adding the count. Defeats the purpose of the widget. I don’t want to open CounterTallyCount and wait for ads I need to count quick and the old widget would let me do so. Please bring it back

Love CounterTallyCount! I use it to track how many times I say each of my affirmations (it makes saying affirmations fun rather than feel like a chore). My feedback or request here is that CounterTallyCount developers allow more room to display the full subject line of each counter cause I can’t see the full sentence for most of my counters (since most of my subject are more than a few words).

Also it would be great if there was an option to add and customize folders for people who want to organize each counter tally under a particular category. For example, one folder could be health, so “gym visits” and/or “cups of water” etc would be the tallies under one folder. And then another folder could be for something like work related tallies.

Extremely good with two complaints: You need to confirm the reset of a counter, but not the complete deletion of one, which is very easy to do accidentally!

Also, it would be great if there was an icon badge for the top counter. I actually need two counter apps so I can see the little red badge on my home screen in the other app. If Counter had that function, it would be all I needed.

It’s a very nice and easy-to-use counter. The ads are non-obtrusive, the controls are easy to understand.

The only reason for my 4 star review instead of a 5 star review is because for whatever reason, choosing a dark color for a counter does not turn the text for that counter to white. So if I wanted say, a dark gray counter, the text and numbers and all of that will still be black. It would be great if a color was dark to a certain degree, then the text would become white. The text is white on dark colors when you go to choose said color, but the counter itself keeps its black text.

Pretty annoying in my opinion, but not annoying enough to stop using CounterTallyCount .

Edit: The text in CounterTallyCount seems to be directly linked to wether the iPhone is set to dark mode or not. If the phone is in dark mode, then there is the possibility of having black text on a very dark colored counter (not ideal). If the iPhone is in light mode, then there is a possibility of having white text on a very bright colored counter (also not ideal).

CounterTallyCount has done what it’s meant to do well (it’s a counter), and I’ve enjoyed using it. One complaint I have, though, is that even with the confirm, it’s too easy to reset a counter. I should have been paying attention to what I was doing, and luckily I remembered the number. I think the reset confirm shouldn’t be so close to the reset button, like maybe in the center of the screen. Otherwise, I enjoy using CounterTallyCount . I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t undo the reset, nor was I able to see daily/monthly counts anymore. I would like if those weren’t reset when resetting the counter.

I use this to track my outbound dials, contacts made & appts set at work.

Very convenient to be able to open one counter & enlarge the button. My ratio favors my outbound dials by far, so I usually just leave that counter open. Also, the feature that allows you to check the time stamps. Sometimes I forget to track for a few mins, but I can check the time I last added a tally & find that call in my phone system, and just add the amount of calls I made after.

My only complaint is the pop up adds that take up the whole screen. Very frustrating when I accidentally click on them (bc I don’t always look down at my phone to tap the button) and I don’t even realize until the next call or two.

The developer is very responsive to email. We made a human connection in one of his replies. Went right out there and paid for his app for that alone. I can see using this daily to help me improve habits and my health and track our things are going. I’m wondering what the screens gonna look like when I’m tracking 20 different lists, but when that happens, I’ll contact the drawbridge and see what we able to do or suggest. I hope this guy keeps supporting CounterTallyCount.

This is a very nice, aesthetically pleasing counter that is *super-simple* to figure out and use. Even without purchasing the upgraded version or whatnot, one can keep count of how many "this or that's" have been completed, for each of multiple projects simultaneously. As well, the user can choose the colors they like for the "counting interfaces" for their different projects/tasks. (Colors are sort of a big deal for me!)

CounterTallyCount 's minimalistic visual appeal and ease of use have even helped nudge up my progress/productivity in a couple (actually very important to me) areas.

Developers, thank you---and as soon as I have another moment, I'll definitely check out your other apps, as well.

I’m trying to teach some unruly students to watch their language and since they don’t do it I can now now every time they say the same thing over and over I’m able to log every time a day under the same phrases and horrible things and words five stars all the way

It’s simplicity year rich in features makes it a great app! This basically provides all key features that one needs to someone who is focusing on self improvement or any other objective task.

The user interface is very simple yet very effective and achieves the core objectives. This is a great value to the community and I strongly recommend.

I like the ease of use with CounterTallyCount. I use it to track the “number of plays” on each of my phono catridges so I can judge how much life the stylus’s have left. Also like that data can be exported to a spreadsheet as a simple way for me to backup the data. The ad’s are unobtrusive but I paid to shut them off. Cost less than a cup of Starbucks.

I love how easy to use this is and the color variety of the counters. There’s really no learning curve and it does exactly what I need it to! I wish there were less steps to reset counters and you could view all color options at once (instead of tapping through them individually), but once you have everything set up, it’s great!

Simple and does the job. Has functions I never knew I needed but they are great. Count by multiples as well as by ones. Have different categories for different counts. I downloaded it when I needed to count cattle being transported in 9 different trucks. Perfect! The free is fine, but I upgraded to support the developer who was very responsive to a suggest I had.

I love this simple little app. It can keep your count for multiple entries at once, with different counting intervals both positive and negative. You have complete expressive freedom to title and give color to each entry as well, a satisfying visuals such as these are always a plus. So far, I have used it for a shiny Pokémon hunt to keep track of soft resets as well as its PP when I finally found it, and it kept track of everything for me with such ease and style!

I use CounterTallyCount to keep track of shiny hunting Pokémon personally! It’s nice to be able to pick from so many colors to match the shiny and not have to worry about having a limit on counters (I hunt multiple things at once). It’s a great app!

I do wish there was an option to add the minus button so I don’t have to toggle it if I click by accident, but honestly I can’t complain since there is technically a workaround.

Used it for my push-ups challenge and plan to use it for many more in future. Pay for ad removal, it is small price for months it takes to develop and maintain these apps across Apple’s iOS releases.
This is the perfect app, try on a test counter to get use to the UI, there is a way to do custom increment as well via + button.

Ok, i was sceptical at first about CounterTallyCount thinking that every time you add a tally it shows a video ad or that it is very buggy but NO! CounterTallyCount is amazing! The only ads are in the bottom of the screen, interface is easy and fun, amazing sound effects, and the best counter costomization!! Just 1 suggestion. Please make it so you can make lists so you can put different counters in different lists. So for example you could have a basketball or workout list! Anyways it is amazing and i look forward to future updates!!

To keep a bird survey count I needed a counter app that could handle 50 or more counters at the same time. CounterTallyCount does that beautifully. I use counter colors to indicate and group bird types. The counters can then be sorted by color, making it fast to scroll and find the right one. The haptic vibrations make it possible for me to keep my eyes on the birds while clicking the count. When I’m done it only takes a couple clicks to save the day’s count to CSV and reset all the counters.
CounterTallyCount is well designed and has been working flawlessly.

It would be great if the weather service can edit the date of the counter. If you remember to count something you did yesterday day and you exact date is very important to you! You can not do it with this version.

CounterTallyCount is very ease to use and aesthetically pleasing, but there is no way to change the language of the voice that counts every click, or even the language of CounterTallyCount in general.
If that is fixed, it will be perfect.

The only thing CounterTallyCount needs to make it perfect is a touch/Face ID lock feature to keep your counters private and secure, which would be easy to implement. A cloud feature would also be nice to backup your data.

Great to use when tracking amount of push ups you do a day or to press the button after doing calf raises so you don’t have to think about how many you’ve been doing

It is 100% the best counter out there. You can count several things at once, it calculates averages, you can move them around, and more!!! It’s literally 100%better then anything else out there. I 110% recommend it!!!

I was looking for a curse jar, but a lot of the apps were either not well designed or didn’t fulfill the purpose. Then I realized that I just needed a counter app. This works great! I set up a curse jar for the entire family and I settle all of the “debts” at the end of the week.

It is much easier to keep track of my numbers when I use CounterTallyCount vs a per that can be lost especially my work area that is always moving

I was looking for an app that could easily keep track of certain things and not reset the counters whenever CounterTallyCount was closed. CounterTallyCount did exactly that.
