Can’t log in.

Nothing works.

Fail

Not user-friendly. everything about APAPilot and APA website is poor.

Not even close to LightSabre

Barely 2 slow claps out of 5 👏👏 for the effort which probably cost 100$ of thou$and$ in flight pay lo$$. Nowhere near the intuitiveness needed to help a pilot save time and make some dough.

A guy on his own time and dime created LightSabre while "the best minds on flight pay loss" created this lame product.

Just a couple of many off the top of my head as I have to get a late trip out

Will not display only trips you are legal for.
Will not tell you why you are illegal

The app crashes while using different language settings

APAPilot doesn’t work on any other language settings on my iPhone. Forces me to use English only. The IT department was notified but after millions of updates still not fixed.

Needs LiteSabre input

APAPilot doesn’t even compare to LiteSabre yet. What I could do in two button pushes on LiteSabre requires multiple cross-referencing on APAPilot that makes things 10x more difficult to navigate, get real time data, and increases frustration levels. Trip trading is more time consuming. Obtaining trip info is more time consuming. Ridiculous.

Change it back

Counter unintuitive

Functionality

APAPilot doesn’t work at all. Just keeps asking for updates.

I guess it’s better than nothing.

Unorganized, glitchy, can’t get it to work offline, MyTrip is light years behind litesabre’s Trips was. It’s slowly getting better. Guessing in about two years it will be on par with litesabre.

I would never pay for APAPilot, but I guess I really am

Junk

Old one worked great, why they replaced it with this glitched out junk is beyond me…..

Absolute Pathetic App

APA please get your IT act together.
This application needs a major overhaul with efficiency, speed and performance.
The old TASC SABRE app was 1000 times better than this.
Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with this product.

What an embarrassment

Tap, tap, tap, … maybe something will actually respond? Why destroy Lite Saber before you’ve copied all the apps? TRIPS was one of the most valuable features. ALPA for sure!

APA

Just awful. Asks for password every time. Says to update every time. Shows error for password most of the time.
Give Rob a big $$ and let him create a new app.
🤮

Garbage

Always a login problem, DECS login problems.

Going backwards.

My experience with the new app is that it is a step backwards. There’s a reason 9000 Pilots pay for LiteSaber. Why can’t APA provide a product like LiteSaber to its members?

No open time

Lite trip function is superior for viewing open time. No real easy way to view open time without too many clicks.

Terrible

UI is clunky and lags, multiple log in issues, only works 50% of the time. Hire someone else to make APAPilot and get rid of all the fancy stuff. We just need the information we are looking for.

Gone back light years

Since the loss of litesabres TRIPS app and pilot to pilot trip trading, we have gone backwards light years. No ability to instantly view all open time in all bases and divisions. Pilot to pilot trip trading was a great way to complete your schedule early and efficiently. No more.

Go back to the old main screen

Old UI was 100x better than this

Still Has Issues

Needs a very solid connection to even function. In addition, to many “pop up” confirm, review and delete messages. Maybe I missed something, but user should be able to manage this in settings.

Some good, too many bad

Ten years post LS and APA still can’t deliver a functioning App. Does APA use the same I.T. guys as AAL?

Memo to APA technology department, and I use that nomenclature loosely, look at all the features Light Saber provides - that’s the bare minimum!

PROS:

Alerts ‼️, Schedule display, iMax calculator

CONS:

Everything missing that exists with LS. The pay calculator “Sentinel” is worthless. DFPs in “Trip Info” do not update after a pilot changes them.

Suggestions:

An AA pilot rarely knows exactly what their pay for the month will be at any given moment. Alaska, SWA, DAL, JetBlue, and UAL all know instantly how their pay is affected by schedule changes. Why doesn’t Sentinel provide this information?

As you know, if Crew Schedule does not code the HI-1 events correctly, the pilot will not be paid correctly. APA should provide us with an accurate snap-shot of our pay for any given moment. When PM flying is added, that pay should be reflected instantly in the PPROJ - - it is not, but it should be. There are numerous other examples where pay hours are wrong or not updated until the 6th of the following month. This is absurd! How many employees in the world pay a private company $10 / month to “Check their Pay”?

Again, look at every feature Light Saber offers and give us at very least the same. There are so many things that can be done to improve the life of the APA member simply harnessing the technology commonly available today. I have never understood why APA is so deficient at organizing information and packaging that information in the form of a well functioning, pilot friendly App.

Buggy and aesthetically unappealing

I keep getting a prompt to update APAPilot when I open it yet it’s updated. Very annoying.

Subpar

APAPilot has gotten worse. Always asks for login and Sabre info even though it’s stored. Has a confusing interface. The old version was better when it had multiple options to select your functions on the main screen. Now you have to search for everything.

A step back in functionality

Please write a check to LiteSabre and migrate it over.

Lame…Like Every Other AA/APA App

Complicated, glitchy, confusing and poorly documented, just what you’ve come to expect from APA IT. Bring back LiteSabre!

Wind Components

You can only use wind components app off line. If you wait and try to open APAPilot inflight, it won’t load. You have to load APAPilot on the ground while on WiFi/cellular.
Once you have it open, you can use it in flight as long as you disconnect the WiFi.

Slow

Very slow.

Should b better than LiteSabre its not

Friction. Thats what LiteSabre reduces. Apa 2.0 is not there yet

I miss lite sabre

I just miss Lite Sabre

Great

One of they very few things APA does well.

Good app

APAPilot is a good app and I’m sure it’ll get better with each new update. One thing that would be a big improvement is the ability to get a FltKeys release.

Better than the previous app

Great improvement over the previous app. Especially the Sentinel feature. It’s nice seeing exactly what my trip is worth.

Innovative App

Adds a host of useful features and quality of life enhancements for line pilots.

Great and getting better constantly

APAPilot is a huge improvement over the old app and is constantly improving. It has all the info we regularly need and want. Much better than company app, CCI. Most who complain it isn’t good are just unable to accept something different or change.

Great App

Great app that keeps getting better with every update. Keep the improvements and additional features coming!

Great job

Man APA is killing it!!! All the new updates keeps getting better! Thanks to everyone for the hard work. Can’t wait for the new log book portion. Love sentinel. And imax great work really appreciate it.

So much better than the my trip app

There is so much goodness here. I use the APA app every day. Even when I’m not flying. Good on you guys and I look forward to even more updates and improvements

Great job

Great app. Hope it gets white-listed to the aircraft WiFi.

Amazing Progress

APAPilot and its functionality have come light years from where it’s been! Love the progress; in addition to the already planned improvements would love to see the ability to put in reserve preferences like we were able to with the old lite Sabre!

The App is Awesome and always getting better.

The APA app has some issues, such as minor periods downtime and much of its information is not available offline, but overall APAPilot is amazing. I have never seen a union or airline put together so many tools. I am very thankful for the product. Please keep up the good work! 🤗

Fantastic job by the developers

Always updating and improving.
