Worthless without paying first

Hi. I download OBD2Expert to test my OBD II Scanner, but it’s worthless unless you pay for it. A much more honest company would charge a few bucks for a working app. This tricks you into thinking at least basic features would be available. Well, I have the perfect solution. I’m deleting it now

Try DashCmd. It’s a good app, well when it works. My WiFi shows the scanner but nothing connects. Remember back a while when there were actually honest companies? This guy doesn’t seem very honest or it would state right up front a payment is required, but he’s right, I would have never downloaded an app that’s broken before you can even test or use it. If it were any good, you’d be able to easily see that in a working app. A basic connection and even basic info to prove it works and is worth the investment, seems like it be a much better app. This just wasted my time, so I complimented the dishonesty with a fair review

Not free

They expect you to pay for the ability to connect a scanner to OBD2Expert with Bluetooth or wifi.

If only I could be zero stars

OBD2Expert is such a giant freaking waste of time complete garbage not worth it

Waste of money

No live data. Doesn’t read misfires. Want my money back.

Doesn’t Recognize my OBD2 sensor.

I Purchased all of the modules hoping it would work but it does not even recognize the OBD sensor.
Please refund my money

Does nothing free

Requires purchase to use blue tooth or WiFi. Says there’s a file option for free, but what use is that?

Cant really be used when downloaded

Cannot really use it. Only a demo

Pay only

Doesn’t do anything unless you pay

Can’t test to see if it is compatible with my OBD2 adapter.

The Bluetooth connection is an in-app purchase. Can’t test it with my adapter without paying.

Please refund my money

Please refund my money I did not read he review it did not work for me neither

Doesn’t work

Paid for OBD2Expert for my WiFi adapter. App freezes every time I open it. Completely unusable. Want my money back. Got a free app that works awesome.

One Star App

I'm rating OBD2Expert a 1 star because there are free apps (Car Doctor, Torque, and others) that are much better. My number one issue with OBD2Expert is it does not provide real time data like the others. OBD2Expert leaves a lot to be desired.

Not compatible with Kiwi 3

Does not work with my Kiwi 3, always shows as “not an adapter” when I try to connect. I sure with I could get a refund after paying for the in-app unlocking if that feature…

Bait and switch

I’ve used OBDII apps for some time. Got a new adapter, which didn’t work with my old app, so I tried this one. Turns out you have to pay if you want to connect to either a Bluetooth or WiFi adapter!

Connecting to an adapter seems like core functionality for an OBD2 app, do calling OBD2Expert “free” is deceptive.

Must be a joke

Do not try OBD2Expert. First you have to pay $2.99 to connect by either Bluetooth or Wifi then you have to pay another $5.99 to actually use it. Also unless you have a Bluetooth 4.0 or Wifi scanner you are totally screwed. This is garbage, you only then get the very basics, if that.

Does not work.

Don’t waste your money. App cannot connect to my OBD2 module. Apparently the latest version is 3 yrs old!! (I didn’t realize this when I make the purchase). Looks like the developer hasn’t been updating it for 3 yrs.!
OBD2Expert should be removed from Apple Store. I have requested a refund.

Trash

First thing the want is $2.99 to even hook up to adapter. Then it reads a little info then loses connection to adapter. You have to restart. And it does the same thing over and over.

I want a refund.

Superb

Super

A++

Works like a charm. Worth paying for the upgraded pro version for sure.

Thanks

The only app that works on my civic si 2015

Does not work

Please refund my money.

Features

Tired of buying promising apps that don't work? Try this app for free by loading a vehicle status file instead of connecting it to an adapter.

If you want to learn about the OBD2 protocol communication, you can use your BTLE dongle and bridge it via WiFi to another OBD2 app (this requires an iPad Pro where you can run two apps side-by-side or another physical phone or tablet).

With this app, you can capture the state of your vehicle including all DTCs and sensor data – either for later diagnostics or to share with other people.

C) Share your vehicle status with others and discuss solutions.

Are you developing an OBD2-ScanTool and not having access to dozens of vehicles with their protocols? This app can work as a BLE-OBD2-ScanTool adapter, sparing you the cost of a professional hardware simulator.
