Subscription services are lucrative for developers, I guess. But, for the user I have to decide which apps to subscribe to (if any) and which ones I have to quit using because I can’t afford a subscription for every app I use. I don’t mind buying an app at all, but having to pay an annual fee is just beyond my means. And so, I will switch my "calculator" app to something else other than PowerOne because they, at some point, will go to the next version (x.x or y.x or whatever) and I will be left in the dust having to subscribe to keep up with the technology. If every developer ends up with subscription requirements I will just have to abandon my support for them all. How many $50, $20, $75, $20, $40, $20, $25 services can you afford? For me it’s not many and so I just stop using an app that thinks their product should charge me a monthly or annual fee to use it!! There are plenty of alternatives out there. The smart developer will appreciate their customer’s PURCHASE of an app and take into consideration that users will have to decide which apps to keep or which apps to abandon. The less used apps I have will be the first to go. And, PowerOne falls into that category as there are many alternatives that don’t require a subscription fee after purchase.
I’ve paid enough for the prior versions of this app, remove ads. etc.
I’m done.

The description does not make it clear that you only get one chance to create your own template in the free version. I created one blank template and then deleted it without doing anything with it. Now I cannot create a template. I have no idea if I would actually want to buy a subscription, but I sure won’t buy one just to find out if the templates feature is what I need.
This app is now basically useless for what I need to do.
Edit: I do appreciate getting a response, but it was not actually helpful. As I mentioned in my review, I have already deleted the one template that I could create. It is gone. There is no template for me to edit.
My complaint is not that I cannot create multiple templates for free, it is that there is no warning in any description or documentation of that exact limit, and there is no warning that after I delete my one free template, I cannot create a new one.
Again, because I deleted the one free template, I cannot try out that feature any longer.

I WAS a longtime paid user until this latest downgrade. I want an easy to use calculator and this downgrade has this new obtuse interface plus they want a monthly subscription for a..... calculator. I support developers wanting to make money and am someone who doesn’t hesitate to pay for products/apps I use. That said, the interface and usability of this latest downgrade is so bad, there is no way I will pay, let alone pay a subscription for a.... calculator.
Sadly, I have deleted the app I paid for and used for years.
