Not what I expected... really disappointed...

I bought the pro version of InfusePro5 because i thought i was buying a better performance better loading times, faster nicer smoother play back on my videos and tv shows? cleaner nicer display openings... i was wrong... the was probably one of the stupidest things i could have spent my money on... and it really disappoints me :/ i connected my account to one drive and i went through my files seeing what played and what did? well I didn't have to wory about file formats because InfusePro5 said i had no media on any of my folders hahaha now after seeing this... makes me think i should have stuck with USB DISK SE that actually shows the content in your folders... be warned... if you buy this, it probably wont work 95% of the time :/ be smart people! don't buy InfusePro5...

Paid Upgrade to Infuse 6

The infuse team does not mention in InfusePro5 descriptions the differences between Infuse and Pro, they make it seem like InfusePro5 is the full featured version and they mention nothing about it being depricated and loosing any new product updates. If I would have known a long time ago when I purchased Infuse 5 Pro that I could have bought a lifetime subcription which was a one time price and would give me updates forever, I would have bought that, but now they want me to either pay for an upgrade to infuse 6 or sign up for one of those other subcriptions. I feel cheated, I wish InfusePro5 descriptions were more clear, now I’m stuck with an old version which doesn’t have Airplay 2 support and now doesn’t want to Airplay 4K content for some reason when it worked before.

Love the interface, but playback is now buggy...

I've used Infuse for the past three years and it is hands down the best player. However, the past few days, I have had problems with file playback. If I pause and exit from a file, the next time that I try to go back, or even play a new file, all I get is a black screen. No audio, no movement on the timer, nothing. I have tried closing InfusePro5 and restarting; this mostly does not help.

If I'm not too far into the video, starting it from the beginning has worked as a solution a few times, but it is extremely frustrating to have that be the new normal. I had few issues using InfusePro5 on my iPad, but these issues are plentiful on the iPhone X. Please fix soon!

Was amazing, but latest version major bugs

I've been a huge fan, and infuse 5 pro has so many positives, but the last update made resuming network video files lock up InfusePro5 100% of the time once the iPad auto locks when video is paused too long. Horrible.. only fix is force quitting and relaunching every single time..

Needs major fix. Was never a problem before the last update.

Three updates later, still has same problem resuming streamed files. Worse yet? Now it’s got bugs crashing it out while watching videos.

New interface has potential, however the inability to ignore some folders in Library view makes that view cluttered and not very useful for me. Also, why the files view keeps such a tiny icon for folders when all you have is one or two with all that empty space looks terrible.

Beautiful design, stressful metadata fetching

InfusePro5 presents movies and TV shows in a beautiful way, super easy to use, a very pleasant design. I use another application to convert and embed my own metadata into movie files, so it was disappointing to find out InfusePro5 is quite slow to collect this data. Additionally, it’s also pretty slow to fetch its own data if you go that route, as InfusePro5 seems to need to be open and running, or else the fetching pauses — not convenient when you have over 600 movies and TV episodes to organize. As a trade off, I’d love to see the ability to upload all this metadata into iCloud so the same rigamarole didn’t need to happen on every iOS device individually.

Great Movie Player. The best on any OS, in my opinion.

The only thing that turns me off is the pre-checked Analytics box. There exists no honest person who considers that to be opt-in, and it’s quite frankly nobody else’s business when I watch movies.

Oh sure, you may want to know, but I want to know who my neighbor is banging at 3am. Doesn’t mean that because he once bought Girl Scout cookies from me, that I’m entitled to know, and just because I probably could slip a bug into his home without much trouble, it doesn’t mean that I will.

The world has gotten weird, and respect from the customer has turned into unbridled hostility. The backlash will come, and it will be brutal. The next recession will usher it in. The few remaining folks with integrity resist such nonsense will stand out. Grant you their numbers are few, but they do exist. “Everyone else does it” is the calling card of the weak minded.

I digress.

Click around and uncheck the spyware box as soon as you download this, and the rest is really nice. Good job 👍🏻

Great player

I use InfusePro5 mainly for Plex, and haven’t looked into much more with it yet. I’ve had minor issues with InfusePro5 messing up to where I need to restart, but overall InfusePro5 is quite stable. The Plex integration still leaves a little to be desired. One feature I’d like is to continue downloads off Plex when InfusePro5 is closed, I have to keep InfusePro5 opened and not playing and the iPad not locked in order to keep a download going. A little polishing on the Plex integration will go a long way.

Best player, but has issues

Still the best player, but I experience issues with iCloud syncing of watched status. I mostly watch on Apple TV, some times on iPad. I always finish movies and TV show episodes by forwarding to the end to skip the end titles. The watch status should be set correctly, but some times movies are marked as unwatched and only some TV episodes of a season are marked as watched incompletely.

Setting movies to watched on Apple TV is easy, setting several episodes is cumbersome as I cannot set whole episodes to watched in unwatched views.

And most of the changes to watched status don’t carry over to other iOS devices. I have to set the status on those devices again.

I also dislike how the covers for a TV show differ from the season cover if there’s only one season. It makes sense for more than one, although.

Best Video Streaming for iOS

I’ve tried everything, from hacking TVOS so I could hook up a USB drive for video, to setting up various streaming servers on my Mac. I’ve mastered the art of converting video files to play well with iOS and AppleTV (and WDTV Live and Roku). I’ve tried every Mac-based streaming app that I found, and had mixed results with most. Now with Infuse, I can say with some certainty, all that bother is a thing of the past. InfusePro5 seems to be able to play anything I throw at it, streaming flawlessly over WIFi, putting up metadata and previews and indexing automatically, and generally simplifying the whole process, so I have a lot more time to enjoy my movies and spend a lot less time converting files. Five stars is all I can give Infuse because six is not an option.

Absolutely the best video player

So not only does it handle streaming Plex beautifully now but it handles everything I throw at it. It’s super stable and ability for downloading for “offline” viewing is super easy. My only real complaint is that it’s a bit of a toss up when it pulls the metadata for certain movies or shows. I’m not sure which database they are pulling the info from but sometimes it will treat shows that were identifiable on thetvdb as unknown video files. This happens to somewhat obscure and new episodes mostly so it’s easy to understand why it happens.

That said, this is a must have app if you have an iPad Pro. It just doesn’t feel right to not have it installed on mine.

Simply amazing

After spending hour upon hour converting videos into iTunes compatible formats, I stumbled across Infuse. It eliminates all that drudgery by allowing me to watch my videos across all my iOS devices in perfect fidelity.

Interface is straightforward and easy to use. Web site could do with some more xml examples, but that’s only an issue if you want to do something a little funky.

Customer support wasn’t great about communicating, but did deliver impeccable results.

By far the best media player on iOS!

This thing is incredible and well worth the $15. Especially since you can share InfusePro5 with anybody in your Apple family share. So everyone on your home can use InfusePro5 after you buy it once.

The old way with in app purchases meant that you had to buy InfusePro5 once for every device you owned.

This new way is so much better!

One of the best apps in the AppStore

For those thinking whether it is worth an “investment”. The price definitely is worth it if you like watching movies and tv series.

You have so many options from where the content should be played back. When I travel I save them locally on the iPhone/iPad but when watching movies at home with the iPhone/iPad/Apple TV, I usually play back movies directly from my NAS.

Best Video Player App out there

Honestly... I did my research when I buying this and even then I was still skeptical and wasn’t sure whether to buy InfusePro5 or not, but man!!!! Am I glad I did. InfusePro5 really has everything you need and they continually get better all the time. I can’t say enough good things. I purchase another one prior and this one blows it away. Great work guys, keep it up.

The Ideal Media Player for iOS & TV!

I’ve been at the streaming media grind for a decade now, building servers from scratch to house my media library. Although I’ve used a variety of clients to play media with varying levels of success, none have come close to the elegance and efficiency of Infuse. I’ve been a longtime user (since TV 2), and the Firecore team continues to reinforce my belief that it’s place at the top is secure.
