Great ePub Reader!

Being an avid reader, I routinely look for newer and better software to enhance the experience, but I keep coming back to Maple. Using Calibre’s opds server function, the link up between my laptop where the ebooks arrive and my phone where the ebooks are read is smooth and fast. There are enough options for font, size, layout, background, overall look of MapleReadCX , how pages are turned, etc. to please anyone and the controls for them are quick and easy. There are lots of options for sorting and viewing multiple books so I can quickly find whatever I want from 3000+ titles. Navigation within books is easy and you can set bookmarks. Good, responsive support from the developer. Both thumbs up!

Unethical, stay away from this app

There used to be a limit on how many books i can read (may be 3?). Now I am unable to open the only 2 books i have in MapleReadCX! Haha unbelievable! Such a stupid decision! I was really considering purchasing MapleReadCX but not anymore. I'll look elsewhere. Idk how they attract new customers with such attitude.
By the way, they offer you to send the books to another app but there's a catch. You lose all annotations you made by doing so. So either you pay and purchase their app or you lose all highlights. 5 dollars for the full app isn't much but you don't deserve any penny.

Nice app

The User Interface is a bit counter-intuitive, but once I figured everything out, I found a lot to like. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a full-featured ereading app. P.S. The new sync capabilities in 1.6 are a welcome improvement, but why a different app for iPhone and iPad?

Awesome!

Don’t know why, books just look better in MapleReadCX than other readers, especially on my iPad. It’s packed with features yet simple to use.

Dev disabled ability to read my books

Sometime in the last month MapleReadCX was updated and all the books I had previously imported into MapleReadCX are now unable to be read unless I pay to upgrade. So now I’ve lost all my notations/bookmarks etc. shady business.

Feature-rich and beautiful

Best ePub reader app

Get this. It offers way more function than paid apps

I downloaded at least 10 reader apps to compare and MapleReadCX just has all the feature I was looking for. Pop up type definition, scrolling without grabber on the right, highlight that doesn't look awkward, adding note, and sending these annotations to the mail without information such as pages or the time they were saved. Being a fan of out dated skeuomorphic design, I find the 'classic book mode' very satisfying. There is one thing that bothers me in scroll mode though and that is the gray line on the top and the bottom on which the title of the book of the chaper is shown.

Just what i was looking for!

Hi,

I have been using your reader between 3 different apple devices for a few months now. I have to say it is one of the best I have ever used, and I have used a lot. Everything about it is just wonderful.

The upgrades you have recently made make it even better. Syncing is even easier to use and understand. I did end up messing up and pressing the wrong button on your previous syncing method and I am glad you have made it much cleaner and easier.

I am really glad I have found your app! I have shared it with everyone I know and have given it as gifts. Thank you for supporting my reading habit!

Thanks

Great App

I love MapleReadCX on my iPhone. I sync the book between my IPad and iPhone. It has great customization options. I love the wood bookshelf. The developers got back to me quickly when I had a question. I highly recommend MapleReadCX.

Great, but one small thing...

I would buy the full version of MapleReadCX to do all my reading of PDFs and ebooks if one thing changed. I know it’s silly, but in the classic book view in landscape, it still shows the two columns of text as one page. I want it to show to facing pages, one for each column of text, just like a real book (like the original iBooks). Once that feature arrives, I’ll purchase the SE version and never look back.
