Verizon’s poor customer service

Verizon used to transfer the contents of your old iPhone to your new iPhone. The rep at the Verizon store said that they don’t do that anymore because they have too many thing connected to their WiFi. Unfortunately, I don’t have WiFi so I have to wait until I can go to a friend’s house and access their WiFi. When I was able to go to a friend’s house and tried using the transfer app it was a joke! Being that I have low vision my friend said that she would do this transfer for me. She was able to get some of my contacts transferred to my new iPhone. None of the apps that I purchased or were free transferred. I spent $900 at Verizon. I eventually went to an Apple Store to get my new phone set up the right way. The customer service was great. Everything was transferred to my new phone and he backed up everything to the Cloud. I will not purchase another phone from Verizon. We’ve been with them 20 years. I’m guessing that they don’t read these reviews because nothing changes.

Absolute Garbage!

Didn’t transfer ANY of my many apps, settings, or desktop. Transferred only 10% of my 400+ contacts and changed the order/way they were filed/displayed for that 10%. If you are a young teenager with only a few friends and no apps, this may be fine. If you are a professional with many contacts and technical apps carefully grouped, this program is actually worse than nothing at all - as you will simply waste hours trying to get it to work like those at the local Verizon Store claim it will. This Verizon iPhone transfer process has actually taken a great step BACKWARDS from 2.5 years ago when we last changed our phones. This weekend Verizon will see 2 customers of 15-20 years go to another provider. These are simply unacceptable levels of service - unless of course - you want to put all your personal/private data in their cloud!

Transfers...WRONG CONTACTS!

Got a new phone today at a Verizon store. Asked if they could also transfer my contacts for me, he said no problem and to download this app. I did, and he helped with the transfer. Since I was only transferring contacts it took less than a minute. Well, I scroll through my contacts list, everything looks good so far...until I look further into it. But at this time I have already left the store hours ago! Some of my contacts are meshed with other contacts. Some contacts are named wrong. Ugh. Now I have to look through all of my contacts and correct it. I could go back to the store and ask them to do it again, however, why waste my time if I’m probably going to get the same results. 😒😑😡
