AsianCrush - Movies & TV Reviews

First, let me start by saying that this has some of the best shows and movies out there. Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about AsianCrush. It crashes constantly, it will randomly drop the picture while allowing the soundtrack to play or AsianCrush will close out completely. You can not fast forward or rewind without crashing AsianCrush . It does not save your place either and forget about saving yourself a “watch list.” To make things worse, if you pay to remove the ads, AsianCrush will work slightly better until out of no where, you can no longer log into your account. It will claim that you are not a registered user. Then if you want to contact anyone, you can only contact them through e-mail and you can forget about them ever responding. I know because I went through this. I had to contact my credit card company to cancel the subscription. I desperately want to watch some of the things that are on here but it is pointless without a subscription, yet I do not want to go through the hassle again. Yet, this poorly designed app has a monopoly on some amazing content! If AsianCrush ran smoothly and if you could actually contact customer support, it would be a 5 star app.

I love the concept of getting shows from places you normally couldn’t get them from but I’m mad at how broken this is. First of all there are like 5 ad breaks with 4 ads every break. About half are 15 seconds the other half 30.

That’s 90 seconds per ad break times 5 is 450 seconds or about 7 and a half minutes. To take into account Ill compare this to another non huge app called crunchy roll which has 10 to 20 second ads 3 times. About 40 seconds each time and times 3 is 120. This would ad up since I’m comparing 20 minuet episodes to movies but the loading time for ads is abnormal.

Basically I wait 5 minutes for one ad to load that’s 20 ads times 5 which is 100 minutes of wait I have to not watch my show for over a hour for this problem. I know it’s not my WiFi cause I use other apps just fine with zero delay. It’s just this problem and I’ll give it 5 stars.

I first start to use the free version, but having the same comercial playing 3/4 times for each segment of 5 min start to drive me crazy. Also no forward or skip button option. No way to save a show or even to continuo watch it after you close AsianCrush . That means you need to work yourself to find the scene that you last stop. Anyway I decide to upgrade hoping that those features would be available for a paid subscription. WRONG!! It’s just the same minus commercial. I totally don’t mind paying if least would open my show from where I stopped watching. A forward button it’s a most because many times I need to use it to read the subtile when it goes to fast. And yes, a skip button for all that boring scene and off-course a option to favorite a show. Lets not even talk about that there’s no option to leave feedback for the watched shows. Yep, not happy and I will cancel my subscription.

Look Viki is way better but I’m stuck because they have shows viki doesn’t but the interface is glitching, the show stops in the middle, AsianCrush closes out. Don’t ever try and fast forward or skip through. Oh you wanna pick up where you left off you have to look for the whole show again because unlike ever other streaming app there isn’t a watchlist or a pick up where you left off section or a save. Every time AsianCrush closes down on me I have to go back in find the show then find the episode I was watching bruhhh. It’s taken me 2 full days to watch 17 45 min episodes 😑 it’s just 3 stars for now we will see once I finish this month. Ohhh if you do anything but a paid subscription you’ll have commercials every 3 mins .

Need to make it easier to add/remove movies/shows to a playlist and you need a feature that lets a person have a long favorites list or saved movies/shows list. Also have an option to save your progress when you leave and then later return midway through a movie or show. Worth paying for AsianCrush. because of the show and movie selection but please save a person’s progress on any show/movie they are watching. It is annoying to try and finish watching the remainder of a movie later on but then you have to spend time trying to figure out exactly where in the movie you last were watching.

I like that Asian Crush has TV and film choices that are not found in other apps. It's nice to get some variety, I paid for their premium subscription but after a month or so, I cancelled it. I would watch more if only they have a 10 second rewind and forward buttons available just like with Viki and Netflix. What they have is the old fashioned slider. There are times that some scenes can drag and you just want to get to the next part like 30 seconds later. It's frustrating to have to use your finger to "scrub" to a different section of whatever you're watching. But you practically miss the mark because the slider is so small. Most of the time, I would give up watching in frustration.

AsianCrush has really good potential but there are just WAY too many ads and other inconveniences. Almost every 5-7 minutes of watching a movie, there’s ads that play, no, not one, but multiple ( it’s fine to have ads, but so many in one sitting is just frustrating). AsianCrush also freezes many times during a show/movie and ad and it’s DEFINITELY NOT because of internet connection. And when I need to exit AsianCrush , it doesn’t save from where I last stopped during a movie, so it gets really frustrating when I have to find my place. I really think AsianCrush would have a better rating from me if these problems, or qualities were somehow altered to be more suitable and convenient.

I'll review AsianCrush , but not the movies. So first I cannot go back or fast forward, if I want to watch the scene again. Even web videos allow the user to go back 15 seconds, but AsianCrush doesn't have this option. Also, I cannot fast forward during a boring scene. Second, the commercials freeze a lot, so sometimes it's impossible to watch a movie. Third, these are lame stupid American commercials, not the funny Asian commercials. Fourth, the commercials plays every 7 minutes and last for 2 minutes. Fifth, the commercials are 10x louder than movie sounds. Sixth, AsianCrush crashed after 15 minutes into the movie. When I reopened the movie I had to start watching from the beginning. I decided to uninstall AsianCrush and I'll never be installing it again.

I am a newcomer. And I’m wondering why the episode I’m watching doesn’t save where I left off. Please fix this or is it like that? I would really love it to save the part I was watching and then resume to that same part. but it doesn’t do that. Also the ads are killing me; it was 3 ads in the beginning but NOW 5 ads! Please I would rather watch 3ads then watch so much that it wasted my whole waiting and all a sudden the thing is buffering. Not my day. I mean theirs one good thing about AsianCrush ; like for Instant the shows that you guys have know one else has.

App has a few issues. 1) Goes to live broadcast and won’t let you get out, you can’t watch some of the other good shows they have. 2) they go in and out of English captions. Don’t let check and turn English captions on. Going forward or backwards doesn’t help. Gets a bit fuzzy for a bit when I do this takes a bit to refocus.
They do have some good shows, that isn’t on any of the other subscriptions I have , but AsianCrush isn’t user friendly.! Needs to work on these points.
I have four other apps I subscribe to, this is the only one with these issues.

The NEGATIVE
So first off I like going into the negative stuff first. So first of all I have been recently noticing that some of the lines of the dramas get cut off... I know I don’t understand or is fluent in Korean or any other language but don’t skip what the person is saying in English. I get zoned out or confused on what is happening. So “this app” can you fix this bug or error please. Another thing is to find where you left off, please fix this bug also.
The POSITIVE
I think AsianCrush is actually ok, I have seen people say the ads are too much, but not for me. I do not have premium but I have like 2 ads per every episode...sometimes none at all. So really I’m good with that. Another thing that is good is the quality of the show. The sound and the graphics are good and the layout is ok. This is because I have a hard time finding my recent watched stuff due to the bug not leaving where we left off,(so please fix this).

I haven’t been using AsianCrush long, but I seem to keep getting the same Ads over and over. Though I understand Ads are important, I wish the Ads had more variety.
Also, sometimes the Ads will stop playing and other times when my show restarts the sound is missing. I have to restart AsianCrush to fix the sound problem and then restart what I was watching, which then triggers more Ads that may or may not cause another sound problem.

Note: The sounds problem don’t happen often, but is a pain when it does.

adbreaks are to be expected since i’m not
planning to pay for premium anytime soon, however i very frequently get the same ad multiple times in a row. sometimes adbreaks have 2-4 ads, and i’ve had times where i get the same ad 2-4 times. it’s very frustrating to see the same ad repeatedly multiple times in a row, however i put up with it because the shows are worth it in my opinion. even if they just show another ad in between and still play the same ad after i’d be relieved, honestly.

I like the selection of movies but the video player is really frustrating and kind of outdated. Any time you leave AsianCrush , the movie starts over from the beginning. Also if you accidentally press the screen in the wrong spot while watching the movie, the screen goes back to the main menu and again, you lose your spot in the movie and also have to go through a bunch of ads (which I’m not complaining about the ads but losing the spot where you were watching). So I want to enjoy AsianCrush more but I hope the programmers make a new, updated and reliable video player and something to keep your spot in the movie.

Ok so first of all I’d like to say I love AsianCrush but there is a couple things that are very annoying
So one is that it does not save your spot on a show/movie and the other thing is the ads it’s a big problem for me because I’d definitely be fine with and ad or two while I’m watching my show/movie but when it gives you an ad it makes you watch like 7 so I’m quite annoyed by that and the other thing is it will crash once in a while
So over all AsianCrush is great but needs fixing.

It’s a good sight but not very user friendly like Netflix, prime or even Viki. 4 to 5 sets of ads each 20 sec long and repetitive is annoying but I think the worst is that there’s no watch list. I can heart a movie however I don’t know really what that means. I assumed it meant it Luke be stored in my personal collection but I didn’t see it. So, I’m a little disappointed. In addition if I leave AsianCrush while I was in the process of watching the movie, the movie starts over. Which means ads all over again. And forget the fast forward...you’ll guarantee ad and delay. I’m hoping these will be easy fixes. Good luck users.

AsianCrush is a pain to work with. The formatting is inconvenient and confusing. It would be nice to just have a page for your playlists like other platforms do. There are too many adds that take too long and have no way of skipping. When the break starts I get 4 adds that last 30 sec each. I understand that since I don’t pay I can’t avoid the adds but frankly that amount of time lost is still a bit ridiculous.
To sum it up, I haven’t deleted it yet. This is only a last ditch effort if I can find what I want to watch elsewhere. But if I can, I won’t be using AsianCrush. There are a few things I’ve identified that I want to watch. But after that I’m probably going to delete it. 3/10

I love using this app, firstly they give really old and really new dramas, and also lots of different genres. When I’m the mood for anything scary or horror I can still go to this app. The only thing is I always get the same ads and ugh it’s so annoying, but if you mute them and do something in the mean time time will go by fast and you can watch the drama!

The claim that got me to download AsianCrush in the first place was that there was free content to watch. Everything listed seems to require the monthly subscription. Going to the website to look for items brings up a nasty form of adware.

I wouldn’t mind paying a subscription when I’m ready to access some of the content, but the stuff advertised as free that led me here is not. It won’t even let me check out the description to see if a title is worth watching. I could understand free content being ad supported, but I don’t even see that here. If I have to pay and still get ads, well, Shame on me for falling for it, right.

I’ll stick to the download sites.

Why bother paying for no ads when they force you to watch ads anyway? I bought it the other day, every single episode even after logging out and back in and reinstalling it still gives me 4 ads to watch every 10 minutes. The ads actually got worse they went from 15-30 seconds to a full on minute! So now I get to waste at least 20 minutes when I watch something over an hour long! Not worth it, I understood the need for ad revenue to make everything free but COME ON. If you say no ads for premium I assume that means NO ADS! I’m paying now for the privilege of watching even longer ads, great. Don’t get it, just go elsewhere.
