About AR Art Projector

Classic mode is like a normal art projector, where if you move your phone or canvas, the drawing will no longer be aligned.

How many times have you been drawing a portrait for hours only to realize that the nose or the eye is in the wrong place? You can use Da Vinci Eye to layout artwork before you begin or even check your work as you progress.

This lets you move your canvas or phone, and the drawing and projected image will stay aligned.

Using Da Vinci Eye, you will be training your eye to recognize proportions and draw with shading while training your hand to translate precise lines and strokes on paper.

You suspend your iPhone or iPad above or in front of your canvas with a stand, tall glass, or other objects easily found around your house.

You can draw on any surface, zoom in to draw micro details in your drawing, and you don't have to draw in the dark.

AR mode is especially useful for drawing or painting on an easel.

Download Da Vinci Eye today! No one ever regretted sharpening their drawing skills.

DVE Watercolor

I have been using DVE for about 6 months. I have found it easy to use and very useful for the freehand drawing-challenged like myself. I originally tried to use a prism/mirror based system but had problems seeing the superimposed image clearly. The computer-based system it is much easier. I can choose a picture to project onto a canvas or sheet of paper, pick the size of the desired finished product, and scale the superimposed image as desired. Once set I can blow the superimposed scene up to draw in details without changing the overall image. One can also utilize the various tools to enhance a particular feature. The strobe feature is great for a final check to make sure you have captured the relevant lines. One can also use another picture to superimpose on a given drawing to add a second image. I find it intuitive to operate and very useful.

Wonderful App!! ❤️

ARArtProjector is AMAZING!! I absolutely love it! Let me start out by saying I do NOT pay for apps...EVER! For me, it has to be exceptional for me to even want to. But after seeing it on FB I knew this was one I had to have. For me, the hardest part of any drawing is getting my dimensions and proportions right. Once I have that down, I can shade a picture in record time. But I can spend hours just trying to get proportions down. With ARArtProjector I can sketch out the proportions in record time, leaving me plenty of time to shade the way I want...game changer! Not only that, I can free hand a picture and then use the Da Vinci Eye to check the proportions and see how accurate I am. I’ve only had ARArtProjector for a couple of days...and I haven’t even scratched the surface of what it can do...but I can already tell I’m going to use it A LOT! Thank you...great job!!

Great tool

Y’all seriously need a messaging option or allow for us to add a bio where we can put our phone number social media page or emails to be able to contact other artist this is an amazing app btw but would make it even better to be able to even comment on people’s pieces of art and tell them how good it is or be able to purchase their art and you guys could make a little bit of money from each one sold on ARArtProjector idk just saying ARArtProjector has a ton of potential and it truly is an amazing tool for artist of all levels. Because I’ve drawn portraits from just looking most of my time as an artist but ARArtProjector definitely takes all the guess work and the erasing out. I truly enjoy using ARArtProjector it helps me to shortcut and make my art perfect

Simply Amazing

To be completely honest I had very little hope for this and had decided I was not going to get my hopes up when it came to functionality. I figured I had another run of the mill tracing app that I’ve encountered numerous times. Boy was I wrong! This little app is powerful, packing a huge punch in functionality and user ability. It works surprisingly well and there is more you can use it for that just tracing. ARArtProjector has helped me take my art to the next level by helping me practice and learn how to draw certain things. Being a self taught artist is not easy, but ARArtProjector is definitely a great tool. Try it out and if all else fails and it’s not for you, no harm right?… but I highly doubt it will let you down.

Perfect for seasoned artists and non artists alike

ARArtProjector is the most versatile tool I’ve ever used for creating stunning artwork. The features are well thought out and designed for real life application by an experienced artist. Whether you just need to get proportion correct on a portrait or get precise detail in an architectural rendering, ARArtProjector is the best, hands down. It is elegantly intuitive and will deliver beautiful results on first use no matter what your level of skill. The small investment you make here will continue to pay big dividends toward the quality of your creations. As an additional benefit the support provided by the developer is first rate.
Don’t hesitate! You will not regret purchasing ARArtProjector!

I want to have other artists help

First of I do like ARArtProjector it’s a great tool to use to learn how to draw there are tutorials and also the AR thing where you can trace drawings however, my biggest gripe is that there are no comment sections or captions to me a big part about art is being able to not only share but to receive constructive criticism to be able to become better I want to be able to ask how can I improve on my artwork and another thing I feel like we should have DMs to reach out and speak to other artists and share and compliment and just have a good community however I do feel like there’s a fine line where hate can be spread but I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives so TL;DR please add comments, captions, and DMs so that way artists can connect and become better artists through that

Great app. Needs streamlining.

Huge time saver to get proportions right when drawing. I love it but I didn’t realize before downloading ARArtProjector that there would be a lot of extra content. Being able to share your art is cool and all, but if they can make it so that the first thing that pops up is the “Draw Now” function, that’d be awesome. I do not need to wait to load “Today’s Inspiration,” “Featured Products,” etc. Just let me turn those off.

Also infuriating is ARArtProjector ’s insistence to default to “Classic” drawing mode, whereas I rely on the AR drawing mode to draw on the go. It shows you AR mode first but before you can select that, it swipes the options to Classic. There’s also no simple way to swap the image you want overlaid in the camera. You have to exit back to the home menu every time. Also annoying.

A truly amazing app that you gotta get!

I have to say this is one of those apps that’s for anyone or everyone who enjoys drawing or who wants to learn how to draw. The easy to follow layout with videos and tips that allows you to draw almost anything that you ever wanted to. The developers also incorporated “how to videos” for those who want to practice and learn and you can also share your drawing if your want. But one of the best things about ARArtProjector is the support that they provide to their customers, questions, concerns, or just reaching out for help, no other app have I used or seen offer what ARArtProjector provides regarding to Customer Service 10 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love it 😍

This was such a buried gem-app to find. I was aiming for a tool to help me trace outlines, I was intrigued by the AR capabilities, I tried a free version of a similar app but then decided to “throw away” the money for this one and boy I’m glad I did. Best $$ spent on an app ever. To my surprise I found myself enjoying different aspects of ARArtProjector rather than what I initially thought I was going to use it for and it took me to the next level with the very first artwork I did. I enjoy my art very much now and it makes me happy and literally less stressed and more smiley all the time. The possibilities are endless and I can’t wait to see where the Da Vinci eye will get and see it go viral as it should 😍😍😍 thank you for making ARArtProjector!

Art meets engineering

The best products are simple ideas, well implemented. The transformative innovation in ARArtProjector is the Augmented Reality feature that solves a whole plethora of practical issues. The Strobe is another feature that makes ARArtProjector much more than just a novelty. It is exceptionally intuitive and easy to use and will allow you to take your art, whatever level it happens to be at currently , to the next level. I would say it is one of the few tools available that can bring photorealism within reach of the average artist. Simply continue the process of addressing the differences between the two images until they match. It’s as simple as that.

Definitely try if you feel like you’ve not been improving naturally.

When I first downloaded ARArtProjector, I was for sure it was just for simply tracing something you yourself couldn’t draw, basically being a hack artist. However, after using it consistently my drawing over has improved tremendously. If you treat ARArtProjector as a tool, you’re still the artist and you can attain skills a lot quicker. Definitely recommend ARArtProjector if you’re a novice artist and you feel like you’re stuck in a no improvement limbo.

Lame reason you need to give your personal details

Why 1 star?
Had zero issues with paying for ARArtProjector.
In fact IF it does what it says it can do, it’s well worth the $4.99 fee.

So why 1 star.
After down loading ARArtProjector and opening.
ARArtProjector wants you to give your personal details by filling out their form, email, etc....

So you go to FAQ and see why the want your email address and for you to set up a password.

In the FAQ you need to scroll down to something like point 5&6 to find out why. Then when reading it, even says make up a fake email address if you want to.

When Apple sends my receipt, I will be asking for a full refund.

This is a LAME app based on requiring the user to create an account with them AFTER you paid the $4.99 fee.

I do not need to share my art work with others and do not care to see their work. If ARArtProjector developer wanted to create an opt-in type “group” that would be acceptable. However, to open ARArtProjector and needing to automatically join? NO.

There is ZERO need for this developer to have my email address.
Their lame excuse of saying its for advising the user of app updates, is just that LAME- Apple already does that.

Don’t waste your time nor your money buying ARArtProjector.
Unless of course you don’t mind freely giving up your personal details.

Making of a true artist

ARArtProjector has made my life much easier and had brought back the excitement of painting again. I don’t draw or sketch so when I wanted to paint (watercolor) I first had to trace the picture on tracing paper then transfer it onto watercolor paper. With the DVE I only need a glass and pencil to draw my picture directly on the paper. It’s easy to learn but if you have a question it’s answered right away. I was shocked how quickly he responded. Instructions are easy to follow. And you can now draw anything! Thank you did developing ARArtProjector!

I love this app!

I just drew the best picture ever of my dog... it actually looks like him! ARArtProjector is great for giving a person confidence in getting started on a drawing. The drawings I’ve done if friends/family look like them, versus what I’ve tried on my own. I think it does help if you have a little experience with drawing and shading, but it’s not necessary (the best advice I received years ago was to only draw what you see, NOT what you know is there!). ARArtProjector includes some video tutorials and drawing lessons that are very helpful. It’s well worth the $5 (I think that’s what I paid...)

By

Worth every dime!

Best app on my phone!! Works perfectly for laying out an outline or a finished detailed portrait. For all those not wanting to pay for ARArtProjector or thinking tracing paper will suffice you've lots your minds; ARArtProjector goes way beyond that, not to mention you can not zoom in to fine details with tracing paper. Sometimes you just want to get straight into a drawing and not spend hours on perspective and measuring proportions. Great video tutorials as well, helpful tonal tools to use even when your drawing freehand.

Customer Service

Recently downloaded ARArtProjector and I was having trouble getting started. I sent an email for help and Sam replied in a very short while.

By my email he thought maybe ARArtProjector wasn’t what I wanted and he would be glad to refund my money. He continued on with how ARArtProjector worked and suggested I try it out.

I’m so glad that I did try it out using his hints on how to get started because I found that it was indeed easy to use and fun for me. I’m not an artist so ARArtProjector helps me to sketch something that looks real and a pleasure to complete with either acrylic paint or colored pencils.

He sent another email with links to tutorials that helped me understand how to use ARArtProjector .
Like I said I’m not an artist my painting is for therapy. It’s a very calming and relaxing hobby. ARArtProjector adds another dimension to my trying to be creative.

Thanks Sam for taking the time to walk me through the process.

Insanely amazing app but some tips

ARArtProjector is SOOOO helpful. Ive never draw so good in my life! I’m a major Kpop fan and I’ve tried to draw Kpop idols, but I’ve only succeeded once. Now I’ve drawn 3 almost perfectly! But some tips for ARArtProjector . I do ask for a shading tutorial on the lessons. Also for the picture of the day, can there be more than one? Also, I would like to be able to when I post my artwork, to title it and be able to see how many likes are on it. And for ARArtProjector appearance, it’s kinda dull. Could you make it, you know, more colorful?? Thank you for reading!!!!

Game changer

I love ARArtProjector, I never felt like I could draw because I couldn’t get the proportions exactly perfect, the speeds up the process so I don’t need to erase nearly as much while nailing the proportions. Definitely worth the price. I also really appreciate that it was a one time fee rather than a monthly fee, and their other app called Mural Maker it’s a subscription, and while I don’t like that price structure as much that one is also still worth it.

Have to look at phone to draw!

I’ve been drawing almost my entire life, but having to look at the phone but draw on the paper is extremely difficult and my drawings are turning out TERRIBLE! ARArtProjector does not project onto the paper, and the video makes it seem like that’s what it does, which is what I need. I need the image to project onto the paper, which this does not do. I’m sure if I spent a month trying to undo how to draw in my mind to do it this way, but the learning curve is not as easy as all these reviews. And I can actually draw! So confused why everyone else is rating this so high when you have to oook at the phone but draw on another surface.

By

When it said “projector”, I assumed it would “project”. Silly me.

I think, perhaps, with time and a ton of patience, I’ll get used to the “non-projector” method of super imposing a camera pic onto paper. I was looking for a light box and remembered ARArtProjector. Sadly, I should have saved the $10 I used for ARArtProjector and applied it to the light box. For me, drawing and my artwork, is a peaceful time. With ARArtProjector, I spent most of my time wrestling with my phone, ARArtProjector and the paper to make it fit correctly. It wasn’t at all what I had hoped for and I’m out 10 bucks. There really should be a trial period on ARArtProjector. Live and learn, I guess.

Top notch customer service

Update: Just had a problem with ARArtProjector asking me to upgrade with no warning, having used it since December. Sam asked me to reinstall and everything was back to normal. So don’t freak out if you see that when you hit the +Draw button after the update. I was grandfathered in as others just might be. This has to be the best attention I’ve ever received as a customer in the AppStore. Sam is fast and knowledgeable. I’ve loved ARArtProjector the more I’ve used it. I think I said previously that it won’t necessarily make someone an artist overnight but it sure speeds things up and honestly helps me ‘see’ things better. I don’t use it to trace every detail, just blocking out large shapes, adding detail on my own. Definitely 5 stars.

Absolutely useful, even teaches you to freehand

Yes, it’s a paid app but you have to remember the mechanic functionality it takes to do this. (Programmatic)

After using ARArtProjector to learn drawing , I’m finally at a point where I can simply free hand and loosely my urban sketches. I use ARArtProjector to help master certain elements and get use to their shapes. ARArtProjector has many potentials and I enjoy it. I understand the controversy behind tracing but as long as you use your own work, you’re in the clear!

Fee doesn’t make sense

I downloaded ARArtProjector a few years ago and it was just one down payment of $7. I was able to access all my own photos and work on my own projects.

I took a break from art for a year or so and got a new phone since then. Downloaded ARArtProjector on my new device and now I can’t access my own photos without paying a monthly fee?

Wasn’t like that before. Why should I have to pay to access my own photos for my own projects? I can understand paying a fee for their images and their art lessons but to access my own photos?? Just seems backwards to me.

Also super frustrating. I was really excited to get back into art but as someone who is already struggling financially, I really don’t think I can afford another monthly/yearly fee. Sad that all these projects I was in the middle of are going to have to remain on hold.

You should have to pay for their art and their lessons. Not to access your own phone and your own work. Doesn’t make any sense.

So Helpful in Rendering

This is absolutely my favorite tool in my art tool box. So much time has been saved layout, composition, proportion of source material and whether or not they’ll work together before I even make a pencil mark. The filters are fantastic in helping you look at your source images in new and imaginative ways. Sparking ideas on the fly. Not to mention rendering itself is more enjoyable when I’m erasing less. Fantastic idea of an app. I will tag you guys on every image I draw bc of the sheer gratitude I have for your product. THANK YOU DW Leeland

Love it

I first started using ARArtProjector to try to faithfully replicate my favorite reference photos. But with daily use over the past couple of months, I’ve started using ARArtProjector to make the shift from drawing “what I know the subject to be,” to observing and drawing the shapes, contours, and shadows in my reference photos, then watching the subjects emerge from those.

Didn’t think I would care about the social feature, but I’m finding that I really enjoy it. I’d kind of like to see this expanded a little, if only to give artist the option of writing a line or two about the medium they used or something about their process. It might also be nice to be able to post comments, or DM other artists to ask questions…although I can imagine that going all kinds of sideways, so maybe not.

Anyway, it’s a versatile app that I see myself continuing to use for a long time.

Not what was advertised and unhelpful for what I wanted

Got it because I need help with scaling and being able to just get the shapes I want before sketching would be super helpful, but you’d think that with ARArtProjector advertising something like that, you’d be able to right? Nope! There are some pictures they allow you to choose from their catalog but they’re limited and they wouldn’t let me use my own photo’s without paying a pretty pricey subscription for a simple, small feature I wanted that I originally thought would be free.
ARArtProjector tries WAY too hard to be more than it should be. Throwing extra, useless “features” in your face and basically not allowing you to do anything without paying - which is fine at the end of the day but I don’t appreciate my time being wasted because I’ve been lied to.

Save yourself some time and try something else.

Awesome app

I e haven’t drawn in a while. Gotten too busy with work and other things. I’m getting ready to start some projects now that things have slowed down. ARArtProjector is amazing for laying down my foundation. I’m just not good at the measuring and the grid. It’s easy to use and I can finish the project from my phone. I don’t finish in ARArtProjector , I lay out the outline then go to the picture and draw. I love looking at all the art posted on ARArtProjector site. Thank you for ARArtProjector.

Awesome app!!!!

I bought ARArtProjector twice. The first time I returned it and they were great giving me an immediate refund. Then, I really understood how ARArtProjector could help me in my art, and I bought it again. And I never looked back.
I’ve been using DaVinci Eye for two years now and it is the foundation for everything I paint. I can’t draw to save my life, but I can paint, something I would never be doing without ARArtProjector. I can’t recommend it enough, and I can’t thank you enough for making an app so great, and that we are not extorted monthly to use it! One payment and that’s it. I miss the old Apple days when you bought an app and it was yours. ARArtProjector is a jewel and a rarity in the ocean of apps!
