I’ve used Apple Tree with great success for over a year as my main form of communication with parents. However, since mid September, my parents are not being notified of new posts with emails or texts. As a result, I have no parental interactions at a crucial time in the school year. Please fix whatever has been changed. Our whole school uses this app and it’s highly frustrating to see our parent participation drop in such a manner due to the problems in Appletree .

Appletree would be helpful if it actually worked. The notifications are helpful, but within Appletree itself, most of the pages that should have information on them just sit at “loading” and never actually load. “Home”, “calendar”, and “messages” are completely useless and I have no faith that any of the other functionality actually works correctly.

I downloaded Appletree I would login then when I would try to add my school nothing would happen. It won’t go to the next page. It’s really annoying I’ve been trying everything to fix it but it won’t work. It wouldn’t even let me post or use Appletree at all and it needs to be fixed!

I’ll get a notification that my child’s teacher posted something new and I can’t even see it because it won’t load. It’s not my internet connection. Total waste of time using this.

Freezes, sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. Right now I can’t see anything, whole classroom feed has vanished. Never get notifications even though I set them to alert. Takes forever to download. Needs a lot of work! Wouldn’t recommend!

Appletree was working great- but for the last few weeks the we are not getting notifications of new message. I’ve tried reaching out through the help center online, but that isn’t working right either! Please fix!!

UX looks old and doesn’t support larger phones well. Black bars surround Appletree .

I do not receive notifications as a badge or a banner. I can only see notifications if I’m inside Appletree AND I’m in the notifications section. I have checked my phone’s settings as well as Appletree settings, and all notifications are turned on.
This makes it difficult for me to respond to parents in a timely manner.

What happened to the notifications? I was receiving them up until about a month ago or so. I miss things because I relied on the notifications to let me know. I don’t get any of them... please fix this!

I LOVED Appletree last week when I introduced it to my students and parents. Unfortunately, this week I have had difficulty accessing my calendar, progress reports made last week have completely disappeared (so much for using it as proof of contact with parents), and I'm having trouble minimizing the keyboard to hit send when adding new parents to the list or when I want to send a progress report. I loved the concept- basically a dojo without all of the incentives- but if the glitches don't get fixed, I may be on the hunt for a more effective manner of parent communication.

I like Appletree ok. I am using it for math classes I teach online to homeschooled high school students. I'm figuring out some work arounds to allow direct contact with my students. I am finding it would be super helpful if I could make repeating events and/or the option to copy an assignment or event. It is getting tedious entering the same event or type of event or assignment over and over again. Keep up the good work. It's just going to get better and better. Thank you!

I had been receiving text updates from the teacher until a few months ago. All my settings are on, but am only receiving emails every now and then. Would prefer getting texts like I use to. I understand that other parents are having the same problem. PLEASE fix !!

I and my parents LOVE Appletree! I’m able to message them quickly about issues in the classroom and send pictures of their children. Update them about happenings and events at school and in the classroom. I’m also able to print out calendars for proof of communication!
