DMV kind of helped but it’s a good app overall. I took the permit test in Virginia and, most of the questions that are on there don’t really shows up on the test. Some do some don’t but don’t fully rely on it to much. A week before I took mine I read the Virginia manual until I took it. I don’t five wrong but still passed. DMV covers most of the stuff on the manual but not everything tho. But good luck to any of you youngins on taking the permit test. You got this g fr peace😁

I used DMV to prepare for my permit test. I cleared all of the sections 5+ times each getting 90% or higher, however when I took the permit test for the first time, almost all of the questions were different from the “exam” mode on here. I found that exam mode is repetitive and doesn’t switch up the questions. I saw different questions on the test that I’ve never seen on DMV before. Note all questions on the permit test are worded differently than the ones on here. To help understand questions for the permit test more it’s better to understand the solution instead of the actual question itself.

It has a variety of tests that you can use to get you familiar with the content very quickly. But after a while the material gets repetitive, I mastered it in about 2 and half hours. I got a 21/25 on my test and I ONLY studied the morning of. I’d advise that you use a combination of this and the manual FROM the this app because there’s a couple of questions that just weren’t covered in DMV .

I really love DMV, it’s really useful. However the only complaint I have about it, is that I dislike how whenever I swipe out of a question, and come back and try to finish where I left off, it resets my answers and starts back at the first question. It’s really frustrating when I got to the road sign section and it really upsets me that sometimes I just accidentally swipe out and I’ve already answered 120 questions and it took me back to question #1. I hope you guys can fix that problem soon! Because I really like DMV!

I passed my written first try using DMV, however I was caught off guard by some of the questions on the test.
1. Add some more situational questions. Such as, if a person wants to drive during the night, what is the best practice to stay awake/drive safe. Also, add more about medicine and usage while driving.
2. Some questions on the test were biological, such as how long it takes for your body to absorb alcohol.

Great app, just needs a couple more things covered.

DMV helped me pass my written skills test in ID. Some of the questions were different but that is to be expected. The road sign section really helped me, but I wish it was in two parts because it takes quite a while to get through. DMV helped me to feel confident even when the questions weren't the same but similar to the actually test questions.

The title is pretty self explanatory. The extensive nature of the questions will really help you understand the rules of the road and regulations without having to flip back and forth through the pages of the manual.

The only drawback is that when you’re in the middle of going through the tests and you accidentally swipe too far left to go back to a previous question, you could exit out by accident. Then when you tap to go back to the test, you have to restart the whole test all over again, instead of picking up where you left off. And the marathon is like 400+ questions. Im sure anyone would lose their s#it if they had to restart that hahaa.

Other than that, it’s been a super helpful app!

DMV is so amazing, I usually don’t write reviews on apps but this one is an exception. I love that it’s free and it’s very easy to navigate, you can star items you need to look further into and you can find ones that you have gotten wrong. I love that it includes all of the states and I feel like it’s helped me learn a lot.

I studied on DMV for a good 2 or 3 months and went to take my permit test and I passed with flying colors the questions are just about the same and it made me super confident once I saw that this is the only app I recommend it’s free and it helps a lot 10/10 I recommend DMV to everyone

I love DMV because it helped me to pass on my first attempt. I downloaded DMV 2 months prior to my birthday. I studied almost everyday doing multiple of these at a time because I was determined to get my permit. I’m not sure how I would have studied otherwise. So glad DMV is free and there’s many options of practice tests. It also lets you review the ones you missed. As far as it being similar to the actual test, I believe they were very similar. I did miss 4 however, but I still believe it’s a great tool and recommend it to anyone trying to pass their permit.

DMV is very helpful and is very comparable to the study guide I received from my state. Yes, some of the questions have been reworded but if you actually comprehend the material you will plainly see your answer. You can also go to settings and erase your history and retake all practice tests again. It’s a free app...there are ads because it is free. Buy the full version if you don’t like free stuff.

The day before I took my permit test I went through and studied everything on DMV and the next day I took it, and got an 88% on my very first try!! The test was very very similar to DMV , there were only like one or two questions that I hadn’t seen on DMV but it was easy enough to guess the answers.

I passed my test with only two questions wrong. I read the drivers book once and then used DMV the rest of the time and it worked!! It doesn’t give you all the questions on the test but it gives most of them. I loved DMV. It helped so much!!

Other drivers Ed apps I’ve used required a premium account to unlock all features which I couldn’t get, but with DMV I get everything I need to pass my permit test without having to pay. Minus the small amount of ads that pop up from time to time; I really like it and I’m confident I’ll pass my permit test :)

I just took the permit test recently and I had gone through almost all of the practice tests and almost all of the actual test questions were covered in DMV besides a few. I ended up passing after missing a couple so I would recommend taking each test multiple times to go over your mistakes. Great app!

Has multiple tests, broken down by category. It has a simple interface and two high value categories for repeat questions - favorites and errors. By tracking mistakes and letting you try again it made learning super simple.

If you’re cramming last minute for your driving test- DMV is it.

I took my CA permit test today and managed to do pretty well. I think I missed 2. I went through the entirety of DMV probably 2-3 times and made sure I memorized and picked up on patterns. Some questions were exactly like on the CA permit test while others were similar. DMV (as well as others) doesn’t cover every single question that will be on the test, but it should give you the tools to give logical answers during the actual test.

i used exclusively DMV only a week away from my test, maybe like an hour of study time each day? some days i did a little more, but it really helped me understand all of the questions for the knowledge test. I will say there should be a shuffle function for the questions as all of the questions are given in the exact same order in DMV , but I did just fine without it.

I’m turning 15 soon and am taking my learners permit on the 7th, I was doing tests online at first, but wasn’t learning anything, like, at all. So I downloaded DMV and a couple others, but this actually helped me learn. I can fix my mistakes, favorite ones that I have a hard time remembering and, it’s free (I may be a little biased by that word). I was super scared, but I realized that this is the exact same stuff that’s on the test, and I’m actually pretty good at this. I have confidence that I’ll pass my learners permit test.

Really helped me a lot !! I passed my first time with only 2 questions wrong, and felt so confident with all the thorough and variating questions they give ! They take questions straight from the handbook, so it saved me so much time than just copying and hand writing notes in a journal. Would really recommend DMV :))

DMV just gives you general knowledge about riding a motorcycle, Do not, I repeat DO NOT base your studying around DMV...I’m not sure about the class C or CDL license using DMV, but for the M1/M2(motorcycle)license it’s just a waste of time if your a California resident...Study DMV for a week straight and was mistake free...Took the test today to find out what I was studying was not close to being on the test...I got the motorcycle knowledge though & No money lost, with it being a free app...I will be deleting now...Wouldn’t refer to anyone

DMV has the same exact questions as this app genie (since I used to have it until DMV wanted money for more practice tests) but when taking the test today , there were loads of surprising questions I had not seen from practicing over the coarse of 6 months . Complete shocker ...around 15 questions were never before seen to me

I got my permit today JUST BARELY, with an 80%. Yet I studied every single question on this for more than 5 hours. Why? Because as the this app lady told me when I got my permit “the this app doesn’t have any apps, so the apps that claim to be perfect can write whatever they want”. DMV exists for money, not to help you. Just so you know, this was the NC permit test. But I still wouldn’t trust DMV anywhere else. Just please please please use your this app book, thank me later.

I tested in California Redwood city this app. I didn’t pass , even though I reviewed all the questions in DMV! Too many questions are not included in DMV!! So I practiced from other free website about 1 hour, and did my second test and I passed with very high accuracy. Do not buy DMV, it’s wasting your money .

I loved the fact that the questions are based on this app requirements. When you choose an incorrect answer, the correct answer is highlighted & the written explanation is given. Easy to use

I don’t normally review things because it’s annoying, but I just took my test today and because of this review app I only missed one question!! I went through every single part of this and I am so glad I did. This was my second time taking the test and the only app I used so I know it’s a good app!

I haven't met any issues related to any questions or functions of DMV . Everything works well on my phone and I have to admit it helps me a lot in learning more about what this app will test me.

DMV is very good it gives you an option to select your state and gives you an updated version and is one of the best study apps I have ever installed really helps with permits

I love this prep testing because it get you ready to take your actually CDL Test. This is a good way to study & build your confidence, it give exacts question that will be on the actual test.

DMV is interactive and great to use because when I get the wrong answer, it shows the explanation for the right answer

I must say I truly recommend DMV if you want to pass your drivers exam.

Easy to use and effortless way to practice test from this app before doing a real exam. I highly recommend it
