Shadowgun Legends: Online FPS Reviews

This FPS really knows how to keep the player on the toes, even if the gameplay does get a bit repetitive at times, and for some reason, this is one of the few games out there that actually CARE about the player! Which other game would not let you do multiplayer at high pings because they don’t want you raging because of lag?! And what game has this much detail in graphics and gameplay?! Though it has a really fair shooting system which lets you learn how to deal with harder NPCs and slowly ramps up till it’s a bit insane, and the enemy also progresses in weaponry, the idea of repeatedly shooting does get dull and feels a bit like grinding, though don’t get me wrong this is the best FPS on the phone I’ve ever played and might ever play!! The hub is also a great way to spend your time just chilling in the lobby, and is really in depth with even the power to get drunk! The multiplayer is a bit boring because there’s always never enough players to join you in ascendency and there’s always someone going afk, but if you DO get to join, the connection is pretty solid and the game system even prevents you from joining if you have high ping so you don’t lose because of bad internet connection. To sum it all up, it’s a very VERY solid FPS that’s a bit rough around the edges and glitches and bugs are very very rare. Gameplay is a bit repetitive but really god graphics. The story may be a bit boring though.. I would rate 9.5/10

I want this game and would get for sure. But one small thing that’s keeping me from downloading and actually playing it. And this game needs it. And it is called OFFLINE MODE. I guarantee that other people absolutely love this game. So I’m on the go a lot and like to play awesome games like this. So there’s not a lot of places where there’s internet. And what does this game require? Internet. So I’m just stuck playing games that are rip-offs of others and that gets boring at times. I know this is an online game for all the pvp and co-op and just being able to play with friends and other people to interact with and I like that. But what if people can’t afford or don’t have internet or are on the go a lot and they’re always busy? I’m saying keep the online mode. But also adding offline mode. That could really help me. Like when I have free time at school or at home I like to just chill and play some mobile games. And plus I am sometimes not really an online mobile game player and I like to just play by myself and have a good time. If you have time you can respond. I’m not gonna make you respond. It’s just if you want to or feel like it. I just hope you can understand what I’m trying to say and hope you can fix this little issue. And I hope you have a great day. Thank you

This game would be great if they would actually finish developing it. I felt like I was done with it in a week and I had planned to spend more money on the game. Finish those shops us in the main hub. Finish that last world. Don’t stop us from progressing at level 20. Don’t cap our money at $750,000 and give us nothing to upgrade and nothing we can buy or build with that money. Why so many currencies? That’s stupid. A few more types of Aliens, please. The skill point limitation is stupid and infuriating because if you don’t go for the hunting mines on your first run through, You will never be able to use them because the skill point reset gives you one less point than is required to get that skill, so I have to choose between running really slow and or never getting to see an aspect of them game. That’s dumb. Give us more variety and players and unique weapons and characters when it comes to arena battles. Add more to the drinking and socializing aspect of the war bar. Maybe a jukebox or something. Why can’t we continue to bump our stats up with weapons after they hit 270? Your limitations to upgrading and building weapons do nothing to endear the gamer to the game and only frustrate us. I feel like you guys stopped developing the game three months ahead of time and just forgot to add the polish that could make it perfect.

This is by far the best FPS game for Mobil there is, but there are a few things that the dev should fix. First, there is the 12+rating which should be higher due to the language used and other things. A great way to make this more appropriate for 12-year-olds is to make a switch that disables the cuss words and any other stuff for older people. Second there is the Hub, which is a great idea, but too laggy. The bar and casino (which also aren’t the most appropriate) have way too many people. This causes lag in and around these areas. Third, picking people up should slow you down and make you only be able to use a pistol. This would make it Much more like real life because you would have to use one arm to hold that person. Finally there is the fact that for some people, there are no available missions. Take me for instance, I am level nine and can’t access any missions. This is a real nuisance to me because I purchased some gold to get an armor pack that I really wanted. Now it says I have to be level 10 to access it and I can’t get to level ten. I went online and found more people stuck at level 9, 7, and 4. Please fix this.

As I said before, this is a great game with great graphics and great fighting simulation. The pvp is great and so is co-op.

This is my first review I ever wrote, ever, period. I completely do not understand why there isn’t a chat system. You guys need to add a chat system and when someone gets to level 20 or gets a rare weapon the system automatically congratulates them in chat for everyone to see. Highest ranked and famed players automatically get recognized that they are online and present. Also add some more quests such as a tower where we can climb to get rare rewards as it gets harder. Add weapons that are rare and farmable extremely hard to get and can’t be purchased. Honestly after 6 months I got all the best weapons and gear ... fame is useless at this point no perks given. Also in game currency (not gold) maxes out at 750k and is completely useless if you ask me other than binge drinking and getting buffs. Also open up a shop for character customization so everyone can stand out and look completely different. All I’m saying 6 months of gameplay and it seriously got boring where I stopped playing. This game seriously needs a major upgrade. Hope it doesn’t die. Best of luck devs and hope you not only listen but actually hear our recommendations because at the end it’s we who will spend. There’s definitely major potential with this game which is the ONLY reason why I’m even taking the time to give it a two star rating and bring these issues or unused potential into the forefront of the mind/eyes of the development team. Firstly it’s 2020 We don’t just want good games we want great games! With this being said first issue is the fact you can’t optionally choose between first and third person POV for the missions which is ridiculous. Secondly the customization options for the character are so lazily done and so very small that no matter what you choose you and everybody else in the game will always end up looking the same except for the npc in the game you end up having to constantly talk to which only infuriates me because they look like a bunch of details were put into them while my character looks like a cloned unimportant trash bag which is again ridiculous! Thirdly customization! customization! customization! This game needs to offer us the ability to decide whether we wanna fight dirty or clean be a hero or a traitor etc we should be able to choose our fighting style or personality look special talent and it should be unique! More control we have in this game the better my rating for it. Right now it’s looking like 2 stars.

App is amazing. Console feel run and gun mobile auto features and both good and bad kinda arcadie feel later on. I read somewhere there’s over 20 hours of storyline playing.

Con: lots of loading between screens. Think ps1/2 but ps4 graphics and sometimes it can be hard to find a screen due to soooo many different buttons on home screen.

Pro: I’m probably 4-5 mild game hours in and if I had spent zero dollars I’d probably be in about the same spot. Honestly outside of cosmetics and pvp interactive emots spending is ALMOST pointless. It helps sure but The absolute best thing about this game imo is that for the normal story mode which is the majority of my current experience is absolutely not pay to win. There’s plenty of loot laying around during battles to keep you competitive and it’s not had to loot and sell enough to buy better stuff with in game currency which is a little tight but honestly it’s the most fair I’ve come across in a long while. I see how in later levels in game currency will become more valuable and I’d probably spend a couple bucks here and there out of laziness but the loot and rewards system seems very very well done

This game deserves every single one of those five stars up there, because it is nearly perfect in every way. It isn’t without its problems here and there, but the pros of this game FAR outweigh the cons. Shadowgun Legends is easily the best mobile FPS out there, and is honesty a lot better than a lot of shooters on console. Everything about this game is beautiful and has had SO MUCH time spent on it. All the hundreds of amour designs and weapon designs are incredible. This game screams personality and charm. There is always something to do in this game from campaign and story, to the dungeons, to PVP, you’ll never get bored. With the way that it is going, Shadowgun Legends could be the forerunner of mobile eSports. Another great thing is that this game is the complete opposite of pay to play and pay to win. You don’t need to spend ANY money to play this game and enjoy it to it’s entirety. You can choose to spend money to get cool looking gear (which I have done because the developers deserve the money) but you don’t have to do this to have fun. MADFINGER Games, you have truly outdone yourself with this one, PLEASE don’t stop updating and improving this already amazing game.

Okay, so I used to love this game; it is fun and has it all- multiplayer, single player, co-op, a decent storyline, and nearly unlimited character customization. However, ever since they added the in-game wargame chat, it is like every other game with chat now; overrun by spineless d..ks and grown toddlers who, instead of learning how to shut up and deal with their failures in the game, now abuse it by turning it into a weapon of words (often with a very limited vocabulary) to vent their frustration. Once again something designed to benefit the player community is now under occupation by witless bullies and a..holes who are not qualified to socialize with others, let alone play a game in which any level of competition can set off their short fuse. I am sorry, but this is a game. Most of us play it for enjoyment to escape the stresses of life. If I wanted to listen to egotistical morons without filters possessing an undeserved sense of importance, I’d turn on the news. Don’t get me wrong not everyone uses it this way, but all it takes is a few for the game to permanently lose it’s appeal. I wish these types of players would just go back to yelling at their favorite sports team losing on their TV; you know...in the privacy of their own home...where no one can hear them.

At first this game looks great with fun gameplay, great reviews, and a great overall concept however despite its F2P appearance, with out prior research F2P players will find that you can’t really play this game for free unless you want to sacrifice equipment slots on Strongboxes. Strongboxes are the worst kind of loot boxes as they take up inventory space, can’t be sold or thrown away, and most importantly of all, in order to open them(and thereby get rid of them) you have to spend 80 credits of premium currency which is only earn-able through watching dozens of ads, gambling the currency you got from those ads at the casino, or paying $5 for the smalls amount of purchasable currency. This means that free to play players could in theory have all of their inventory slots taken up by these Strongboxes. This has been the subject of many complaints for months now yet apparently the devs have failed continuously to address these complaints. Among other annoyances, paints for armor are one-time consumables that can be only applied to one piece of armor. This may not have that bad if there was actually a reliable means of earning the paint that you want asides form outright paying for them. Ultimately while this game has potential, in its current state, and possibly beyond, this game is not worth the memory it take up on your phone.

Usually, when one thinks of a mobile game, one thinks of some really lame puzzle/strategy game that relies on emptying you credit card via micro transactions and waiting for extended periods before being able to play/collect any rewards. Of course, there are micro transactions in this game, but they are far from necessary for your gaming experience.
I can play this beautiful game whenever and wherever I want, all while experiencing incredible (for mobile games) graphics, great gameplay mechanics, organic avatar movements, wonderful voice acting, and wrecking my friends in multiplayer battles.
I don’t how they do it, but somehow even the generic grind missions are fun to me, and the story elements are perfectly acceptable, although it is not why I play this game every day.
There are a few game-crashing glitches, but I have had incredibly rapid and effective interactions with their support team, who are quite dedicated to making this game as awesome as they can make it, and for that I feel like they deserve every penny the earn.
Overall, it is a great game, especially for those who enjoy playing first-person shooters or science-fiction themes.

Ok so long time I ago I used to play their other shadowgun multiplayer game. It was really fun back in the day, it was my first ever fps game I ever played on iOS. So I was really excited to hear this game came out. So far I’m new to the game but here are some issues I like to press on. Strongholds/Chests. I can’t seem to sell or drop them, I understand the game wants people to buy it for the money but it can get really annoying for no space! Another issue i would like to press on is the multiplayer chat. Where is it?! It only shows up with a squad. Now moving mainly on chatting. I don’t know if I missed it or anything but I would like to talk to other people whether it’s globally or locally. It’s really fun to meet other people and it would be convenient to talk about the game! Other thing I saw was the friend list. Now I’m not sure if there is a way to send texts personally to a friend. I haven’t found any and if you can add that it would be really great. In the end it’s a really fun game with many missions to keep you happy, and especially the graphics have gotten amazing since years back. I applaud this gaming industry, amazing work. Hope to look forward to new updates regarding this game or any else!

It’s a shame, this game has smooth controls, and is pretty quick with movement compared to most others shooters, but I’ve been playing off and on for 4 years, we still have nothing new, no new planets or missions, no new levels pass 27. You are limited with skill points, which is okay, but we need more that what is given, instead of starting over, you can’t really build the character the way you want. And you can forget the PVP! In the beginning I was able to be paired up with others like me so it was fair, but then it became so tiresome, that hacks took over. The minute to find someone they’ll kill my entire team within 3seconds, we resplendent and die almost immediately. Now that I am the highest I can get with supposingly the same power and armor as other lvl 27, they take forever to kill even when 2 of us are shooting. I’m all up for an HONEST challenge but all of the pvps are a waste of time. I play games to desires not get so frustrated that it takes the joy out. Basically this game is just s time kill, its the same missions over and over, there not anywhere you can practice your gun skills, for in the missions your trying to survive.
This game has such potential.....

This game man. This freaking game. Everything about it is amazing. The story is engaging, and very fun to play. Not quite console immersive, but very good for a mobile game. There is no energy in the game so the entire thing is played at your own pace. Weapon and armor upgrades are given in every level, although sometimes they may be less powerful, just play another mission and you will find an upgrade that is better. The game seems to balance advancements in both PVP and PVE so you can play the game as you want. I stick to PVE for the most part and I’ve already advanced to LVL 12 with 60,000 fame. The only place where this game seems to lack is the PVP matches don’t balance well, but it seems like that is the mechanic as more powerful players are rewarded. Guilds are easy to create, and advance in, but the only issue with them is there isn’t any promotion system within them. I’d like to make a few of my guild members co-leaders or something of the sort, but there isn’t a way currently to do that. All in all, very fun, super addictive, and has something for every player.

I have played this game for over 4 years now, it used to be fun, but after the first 2 years they stopped adding content and they never fixed the bugs. For example the squad kick bug, where you join a squad and you get kicked or it breaks up the whole squad. Madfinger Games made all these promises they could not keep. LIke for example they said they were gonna open the final planet, that never happened. My opinion is they bought this game from another company and don't know how to add new content in the game, or they don't have enough employees to keep up with this game. I took a break from this game for a year, there were the same old bugs that were there before. So my suggestion to MadFinger Games if you want this game to survive start adding some new content like New events, New PVP mode (Death Match) Free for all, New Pvp maps, New dungeons and Arenas. Also make a search box option in gifting so we type in the players name in the search box cause it really gets annoying when you have to gift someone and you have over 1000 friends in the game in there not in any sorta Chronological order. Let me come work for you and see how it really gets done.

I’m sorry but I don’t get the hype for this game. Sure, it has great graphics but I noticed many issues while playing. First, I played on an iPad and noticed that the speech/emote icons while in the lobby would randomly disappear, forcing me to restart ShadowgunLegends to get them back. While the loot system is interesting the solo campaign got repetitive and boring. Also, I wish there was a way to trash items so they don’t fill up your storage space (especially gold boxes).

I tried playing with a friend and I guess there’s no way to go to each other’s lobby? I’m not sure if that’s a glitch, but it seems like a basic function these types of games usually offer. Also the matchmaking was horrible. I tried multiple times to do co-op and had to wait 15+minutes before giving up. When I finally did get into a party there was no chat function!? This is a major problem especially for puzzle type missions. Everything took 3x as long as it should have just because there’s absolutely no way to communicate with your team. I think I was most excited for the co-op and it ended up ruining the entire experience for me. Probably won’t play again unless new “basic” functions are added.

TL;DR, good graphics but glitchy UI, repetitive missions, and horrible co-op.

Honestly I don’t usually write reviews of games on ShadowgunLegends market, but I was just so pleased and impressed by the amazing quality of this game that I felt compelled to do so. Shadowgun Legends is the best first person shooter on mobile. With its wide verity of quests, maps, game modes, weapons, and armor it gives you an amazing experience that lasts! Though the game does seems to take a lot from destiny, it puts its own charm on things that helps it disconnect from destinys bad story telling. This is a game that doesn’t take its self to seriously and wants you to know that. Weather it’s with it’s funny banter with NPCs, spray painting a middle finger for enemies to find, drinking and gambling at a casino, or flexing to show off your gear, shadowgun does a great job mixing story with hilarity in a way that sets it apart from other mobile games! I would like to think if destiny and borderlands had a baby and it was a mobile game, this would be it! This is now my new standard of mobile games and I have to give a thank you to the creators for sharing this with us!!

This game is one of the coolest mobile games I’ve ever played. Best FPS on mobile in my opinion. Also not a pay-to-win which is rare these days. Of course they encourage you to spend a little money because your first purchase (minimum of $4.99) will give you tons of inventory and backpack space. The free 16 inventory and 6 backpack slots they give you are fine at first, but in end-game content will have you needing to sell after most missions or arena games. Of course you can enjoy the full game without spending a dime, but Mad-finger games did such an amazing job with this one, I would encourage you to drop the $4.99 into this game to support them. This game would occasionally crash for me, but I put most of the blame on my potato of a phone. They also update frequently to fix any issues, and customer service has been quite helpful with any of my issues, usually taking no more than half a day to respond. All in all, I just have to say bravo. You guys killed it with this game and I can’t wait to see what comes in the future

This is everything I could ask for in a multiplayer FPS that’s on mobile. Everything is great so far but I have 1 complaint about it. Strongboxes. Sure they’re cool and all but I have like 3 legendary strongboxes in my inventory just sitting there with no way to get rid of them. I know that I can just buy credits or keys but I don’t like spending money on games especially since the games free too. Can you guys add some way to get rid of the strongboxes? I don’t see myself getting a legendary key any time soon too since I’m only level 8. Maybe there could be a person in the alleyways of the hub that takes in in-game currency for either the payment needed for the keys or the keys themselves. Or maybe just make one of the existing shop owners be able to take in the strongboxes. This has been an issue already since I have found multiple complaints online (not in the game reviews themselves but in comment threads from other websites) about it. Please fix this and if you do think about my suggestions or even add them in the game I would be ever so grateful :)

This has been the most impressive mobile game I’ve ever played... Not just the most impressive FPS. Kudos to the developer and designers. You are brilliant!
Game play does get a bit repetitive in the daily missions but PvP is always interesting and challenging and the updates bring new challenges.
It’s true what they say... you don’t “need” to spend money to get the best gear although it is a bit more difficult.
If I had any complaints it would be this... it would be nice if voice chat worked a bit better. That’s partly the user’s fault... they don’t use headsets and leave the mics on so we get to hear the noise from their game. On the other hand, isn’t it possible to filter out the sounds coming from a device leaving the mic input? No easy feat and might use too many cpu cycles now.
The 2nd thing is the lag... I’m not sure where this is coming from, though. I’ll get into a PvP match where I’ve got the flag and it just won’t plant. Other players appear to have ghost fights around me. Eventually it does do what I would expect, however.
