My son Luis was diagnosed with ASD at age of 2.5 (he is now eight). Over the years, Luis has received various standard treatments, including ABA, speech therapy, and play therapy. He has also taken various medication targeting nervousness, hyperactivity, and aggressiveness. All of the interventions above had temporary and variable positive impact on Luis. Some had no effect sometimes. Through the years, I tried different ways to engage my boy in meaningful interaction, but I haven’t achieved success. For example, we achieved positive interaction when we was going sport. Among non-physical activities, the only one that he enjoyed was watching cartoons together. However, all of these activities were limited to very short time periods. Luis was not able to get meaningfully engaged for more than 30 minutes, even when he liked something. When we started using the Otsimo application developed, I was completely surprised to find that he was immediately interested and able to engage himself in solving problems for more than an hour at a time. Luis works on Otsimo games every day and enjoys being successful with them. The progressive increase in complexity and comprehension of more than one variable at a time boosts Luis's attention. While doing the exercises, Luis becomes calm and remains so for long interval and even for some time after it. The Otsimo program has become our favorite interactive activity.

We have 3 children on the autism spectrum. Our youngest is homeschooled and participating in a Son-Rise program. We know he is intelligent but it is difficult to know what he knows and does not know. Also, it is challenging for him to interact for extended periods of time. Otsimo is specifically designed to help our exceptional children! It is fun & engaging - he smiles & laughs! Our son is showing us how much more he knows that what we previously believed and he has fun doing it! Otsimo is providing a wonderful education, a fun activity, and an opportunity to improve his fine motor skills! The customer service is incredible! Baris reached out to me and made it possible for us! ❤️❤️❤️

Probably the only app that can get my non verbal son to play a game appropriately. I am so impressed with the layout of OtsimoSpecialEducation1 and how quickly my son was able to understand how to use it and not get bored or frustrated. I haven’t been asked to provide payment or do a trial I did notice the later levels are locked. Maybe this is a new feature to allow everyone to give it a try without tricking you into buying after the trial (just reading some of the reviews of people saying they had to pay the year up front)

Overall satisfied and will be purchasing. Definitely worth the buy!

I bought annual plan for my son but found issues about it right away. 1. I failed many times on iPad and I have sent out screenshots to support and was told they will look into it. From 2019 to 2020, I never hear anything back and problem continues. What more, if you upgrade to newest iOS, in my second iPad, you will not get sound at all. And what’s the point of OtsimoSpecialEducation1 without sound or constantly fail with display errors. 2. I found a better alternative Kahn kids academy. Which is much better designed, include more features ( I think OtsimoSpecialEducation1 copies subset of the functions of that app) and it has offline features as well. So it is a waste of buy money and my son finds the free alternative way more fun and less problems

My 3-year old and 6-year old both like Otsimo games. I like the design style and family side, which make me much powerful and less disturbing as the parent than most kids apps are to have buttons on in the background. There is a lot of variation in the activities, all the effects/interplays are quite simple, and re-playability stays high. My 6 year old is just about old for it (will probably abandon it soon), but both boys play very nicely together with it, which is a big plus.

This was the only app my toddler, who has autism, could actually play to an extent. He doesn’t understand the dragging games, so he liked to tap the colors and watch the stars in the bar fill up.
I downloaded this because there was this free version, but they changed it to subscription only. I didn’t download OtsimoSpecialEducation1 to pay. When I responded to the email expressing my discontent, there was no response from the creators of Otsimo. That just showed me that they only cared about the money. I will not subscribe and support this company.
They did receive 2 stars because my child enjoyed OtsimoSpecialEducation1 while he was able to use it.

My friend’s parents use OtsimoSpecialEducation1 for her twin brothers and they swear by it, that’s why I wanted to give it a shot with my little brother with autism. Convinced my parents to try it. My little brother loves playing the games and wants to play with OtsimoSpecialEducation1 at least two or three times a day. He especially loves matching games and emotions. He mimics the faces and laughs, pops the balloons and shows me how he is doing. He now initiates communication. I am so happy to see him open up more and more!

It is really a great thing for a parent to see his daughter be excited about learning. OtsimoSpecialEducation1 is very child friendly and the parent section is separate. She has fun and learns a lot of stuff while we can track her progress. I had my reservations about paying an app that claims to teach but I’m really happy that I did. I saw progress only within weeks. It’s amazing.

I was disappointed OtsimoSpecialEducation1 requires an account to try anything. If I knew this was an amazing app I might consider an account but without a way to look around I don’t know if it’s worth it. Additionally I’m always skeptical what value an account brings to this type of application, especially as I’m very sensitive to my child’s privacy. I wish OtsimoSpecialEducation1 had a way to poke around and explore, even if it was just once with no save feature. I am not willing to share any data and chose to delete OtsimoSpecialEducation1 .

I work with a non-profit that helps special education kids and we recently introduced Otsimo Special Education to our program. We've seen a marked improvement in the kids' abilities since we started using OtsimoSpecialEducation1 and I would highly recommend it!

My son don’t like to use OtsimoSpecialEducation1, but they charged me right away for whole year without any refund. Be careful when you downloading OtsimoSpecialEducation1 .
There is no negotiating if you make a mistake.
It is very expensive for what they offer.
After not using for couple months my son was trying to get back to it today but there is no sound to the program. I wish it was easy to find customer service. I tried to look up but I couldn’t find it.

My son has autism and it’s hard to find a good educational app that will help him succeed in school this helps him learn what he would in school he is focused on it and very easy for him to use I will be purchasing the subscription did try it free to see how it was and can’t believe how personalized it is for him.

My special needs kid had been using OtsimoSpecialEducation1 to practice her matching skills and it has really helped her in distinguishing and actually thinking about which piece is suitable to put on which. This is awesome since it is on my phone she almost needs no other motivation to do it as she views it as a game. Highly recommended.

I love OtsimoSpecialEducation1 but it glitches too frequently to be usable. I was happy to pay the subscription cost. The problem was in the match game, too frequently the item would “snap” off screen and be inaccessible. That is to say, my son would move/tap it and it would jump off screen at which point he can’t get to it and I’d have to quit the game and restart. Other than this recurring issues it was great.

OtsimoSpecialEducation1 is buggy - should easily be able to switch between child profiles. Should also easily be able to turn off certain games and remove the hint. It’s not user friendly but otherwise I do think it’s a good start and my kids like it but I hate making changes in it

I have been using Otsimo Special Education with my daughter. It has helped her skills during lockdown. It's also very easy to use, which is a definite plus for any parent since we always have to be problem solvers.

The games run a little slow on my phone but we love OtsimoSpecialEducation1 so much we are willing to update it to provide the best experience for my child! Matching colors is my daughter’s favorite game and we are now working on the numbers I am so happy with OtsimoSpecialEducation1 I will recommend this to everyone!!

Just wanted to say that I am a parent of two kids with special needs, and I got introduced to Otsimo Special Education by my son's therapist. The interface is so intuitive and user-friendly. Highly recommend!

My son has been able to make good progress with it and it is such a positive experience for him. The Otsimo team has been very helpful and we couldn't be happier that we purchased this for our son.

I just installed OtsimoSpecialEducation1 and launched it, When OtsimoSpecialEducation1 just launches a song is played I can hear that song but when I try to play any activity no sound is heard
I tried listening to stories and matching games, I can see all the activity happening but cannot hear any sound

I would like to show my support for OtsimoSpecialEducation1. It is dedicated to improving the visual & communication skills of children with ASD. I have had a chance to use this application, in combination with speech therapy, with preschool children were diagnosed with mild to severe language delays. OtsimoSpecialEducation1 served both as therapy and a reward for the students. At the end of one year, I have been able to track not only improvements in the mean length of utterance of the users but also in their fine motor ability. The application is fun, intuitive, accessible to instructors, therapists and parents, and is rooted in researches. Data tracking is automatic and kept for each user. I highly recommend this software to both parents and professionals.

OtsimoSpecialEducation1 completely entertains both my 3-yo and myself. Otismo gives us quality time together that no other apps or games give us. It engages us to interact, create narratives, discuss actors’ feelings based on their facial expressions in emotions game and home items, places, and there are so much color and incredible attention to detail. My daughter understands concepts like ‘opposing concepts’. It offers a world that the little ones can move at their own pace and desire. No score. No negative points. No rules. Just colorful incredibly designed games with unlimited possibilities. Well done, developers. We’re very happy with Otsimo.

We have tried traditional treatments like ABA, speech therapy. These had positive but temporary impact on him. He still struggled with social interactions. We searched for alternative methods to educate him at home and we found otsimo. I am really happy! He can play with OtsimoSpecialEducation1 for over an hour!! He is positively reinforced when he completes a game successfully. We work our way up the learning path. And I noticed that difficulty of the games change depending on his performance, which is great.

I wasn’t sure about letting my child with autism to spend a lot of time on the phone. Games made for children with normal development are too much for him. The visual and audio stimuli make him frustrated. But OtsimoSpecialEducation1 is so well-balanced in terms of stimuli that my boy can sit and spend long stretches of time without being frustrated. Not a long time user but very happy with it. We already see a social development changes in my daughter’s behaviors. Thinking about getting the premium. First few games were a bit easy for her but they get more difficult apparently.

I was skeptical about purchasing because I felt like it could be too advanced for my son but all of the content is customizable so we changed the settings to his level. He's 2 now and we've been using on his moms ipad for months and he's very engaged.

Fulltime parenting can be tough if you have an autistic child but I’m so glad I found OtsimoSpecialEducation1 it entertains my child and also teaches him a lot of stuff he couldn’t learn in school. We especially love social stories. He learned how he has to raise his hands during classes to speak which is a big development!!!
