System is garbage

Using the angel box is fairly simple but viewing through angel cam is horrible. Cameras frequently quit and go offline even though they view other apps just fine.

Update: I finally got it working but sadly have to tune the cameras down to their lowest setting possible for frame rates. Seems silly to get a nice clear cam then having to turn it down to its lowest quality to get it to stream. They stream fine on other apps.

The customer support is horrendous when I contacted them to help resolve the streaming. After a day I was just sent over to a self help article, which I had already done, and told that “they weren’t a replacement for my IT guys” and to just play with the settings till it worked. I am a private individual, I don’t have an IT dept.

As far as the streaming it seems to work ok, at least till I get another option up and running. Their lack of assurance as well as taking over 3 days to respond, shows they really don’t care about the customer.

Timeline is mostly red during the day

During the day my timeline has mostly red due to no connection. I have 1Gbps upload, which always works no matter when I test it. The same cameras on other services work perfectly. Other cameras with dedicated services also work fine. See all the other reviews complaining about the same thing.

Poor design and support

Added a few cameras with some of them not showing up so I added them again and again but no luck. The next day 4 of the same camera showed up. Ok just delete them right? You would think but there is no delete nor any instructions. Ok contact the support for help - turns out although they claim 2 hr response they don’t respond at all. App is junk just glad it was free!

Complete waste of time

Angelcam is a joke. It absolutely does not do as it says. Also, Ring doorbell cameras are not in the list either which I find odd. Meaning don’t waste your time. They instead try to sell you their brand.

Too many gaps in recording

Even though the program rates the quality of connection at 100%, it has frequent gaps in recording.

won’t let you add cameras

i tried on ipad and iphone- no success :-(

Why can't I view history

So all Angelcam does it show LIVE camera view? Any cam app can do that. Where is the history timeline I'm paying money for?

Buggy.

It could be the service or the angelbox I'm using, but totally inconsistent on which camera goes to which name, and if it will display.

Garbage app

Trying to sell you more services and a waste of my time.
I’m trying for hours to detect my camera with no luck.
Other apps have no issue, so I just deleted Angelcam .
No-ip.com is pushing Angelcam and it won’t recognize the ddns hostnames.

Destroy your ISP Data Plan with 3 cams

I’m not a casual user. I personally manage the second largest single-entity CCTV system in the country (just over 11,000 IP cams and counting). My NAS drive for my home system died just before I went on vacation, so I hit up this service for the time being. I only activated three of my six Axis P3365 cams.

First off, the setup for motion detection was not easy. You have to program the functionality on each camera with triggers and emails and getting your sensitivity levels just right and making sure certain ports are open...

Next, for sake of bandwidth, Axis cams are all capable of H.264, and running through the Axis VMS on my NAS drive, that works just fine. Angelcam, however, doesn't seem to play well with that functionality. As a result:

Recording even just 3 days on 3 cams at 1080 and I’ve absolutely blasted out a hole in my ISP data plan. I had to think for a second about what was causing it because I have five kids (three teens) so at first I thought someone was on a downloading bender. No. Instead its the MJPEG on just three cams. My data usage more than doubled. Let that sink in. Five kids...

And here’s the kicker. The resolution is fine, but the FPS completely undermines usefulness unless the motion is moving veeeeerrrry slllloooooowly. My setting is 8 fps, but I might be getting a little less than 1 on the back end. A car traveling at 25mph across my front cam might show up on two frames.

Also, no audio functionality. And honestly that’s probably for the best because otherwise who knows.

Easy Setup

3 stars now. Not ready for iPhone X.
It will be 5 stars when zooming presets be available.

Works well

The only reason for a 4 instead of 5 is you can’t control a ptz camera.

This is the Best

The Best app available!!!

Great, can't wait for more

These guys are obviously a new company. They gave a great start with Angelcam. It made viewing my foscam remotely incredibly easy.
Pros:
Easy setup
Amazingly clear picture

Cons/hopefully future updates:
Nest/dropcam support
Roll back through time in app
Notifications with geo fencing

Their service is half the price of nest aware so it would be great if they could offer similar features I would much prefer Angelcam as it's faster and much more clear than the nest app for viewing cameras.
Would also be great to offer a way if storing the data to a service like Dropbox that way you had ownership to some degree of your video footage.
