I’ll add I’m experiencing the same problem. As soon as I tap on the icon Castro crashes. Started a few days ago.

Not opening on CarPlay…worked flawlessly before but now, hitting the icon on the car screen & it won’t open…just crashes.

Castro has started crashing when using it through CarPlay. I am plugged in via cable using the latest iOS. If I hit play directly on the phone, it plays and I can skip forward and back with steering wheel buttons, but if I touch the app on screen the app crashes.

How to fix Castro app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Castro app on iPhone
Update Castro app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Castro iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Castro on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Castro network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Castro Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Castro not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Castro App
1. On android, goto Settings » Castro » click [Force Stop]

Update Castro to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Castro App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Castro » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Castro.

Fix Castro unable to contact server/ Castro internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Castro » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Castro » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch Castro
