Privacy is clearly not a priority

Despite paying for the ad-free version, technical ad delivery is always on. As is something about linking devices, device identification and maybe 100+ cookies that seemed to be tracking more than strictly functional. You can “reject all,” which surprisingly seems to apply to the poorly named “legitimate interests” cookies as well, so that's actually good. Jury's still out on whether this applies to new ad providers when added, or if they default to opted-in (as they do when you manually manage cookies).

If you’re OK with the tracking bits, it’s a fine app. Locations are hard to search for and it covers fewer days than Yr (but seems less pessimistic).

This is Our Go-To Source in Our Farming Community

The farmers in this area of Co. Fermanagh go to this source for their forecasts, and MetOfficeWeatherForecast makes it easy to get detailed weather reports with videos and graphics. Very reliable and worth a try.

Met Office accurate forecast

We always use Met Office because we live in the Inner Hebrides and we have found their forecast accurate especially with a gale threat and very easy to read.

Good in many ways

When I downloaded MetOfficeWeatherForecast I had no idea it was from the UK.
They don’t give you the option to have the hourly forecast times of day in the standard 12 hour am/pm format, they only use 24 hour military time, that’s common in Europe.
They also don’t show what the current temperature is.

Best Weather App

Great app with essential info in a visually pleasing format. I would like to see additional options on the uk weather map however, for example pressure isobars and wind direction would be great. The iPad version could be improved in the same way and please make it viewable in landscape mode !!

outrageously incorrect rain forecasts

The rain forecast percentages are completely off. I say “outrageous” because they differ wildly from both the default Weather app and the Dark Sky app—and, oh yeah, the actual weather. Frequent stretches of 60% predictions under cloudless skies, which the other apps know. Nice interface, so just copy the data from other apps and represent it. Meanwhile, I wasted $3 because I’m uninstalling this poor app.

Very simple

If you are looking for basic simple weather forecast this might be for you. I need much more detailed in. Appears that it might be a more effective app in the UK. The maps were just of the UK, not the USA.

Accuracy is OK, widget is unusable

I like and use MetOfficeWeatherForecast for years. But the widget added recently is unusable. You see just “2…” instead of “28°”. Is it OK???

By

Search function broken

Ever since last week’s app update, the search location has ceased to function. Great app otherwise.

By

Easy to use. Shame about the maps

Forecasts easy to use but the maps are clunky

Liked the previous version

I really liked the previous version where you could see the feels like temperature, wind speed, and chance of precipitation all at the same time. The new version of MetOfficeWeatherForecast is pleasing to the eye, but it takes more time to gather the information I'd like. It still is a great weather app...but please undo this change with the next update.

Very well done.

I am a weather nerd and look at different weather apps as I travel around the world. The new met app is one of my favorites.

Thank you for this program

A great program

By

Poor update

Difficult to use, or find information. Layers on map only show rainfall - where are isobars, cloud, temperature etc. Was the best, now the poorest of many others.

By

Simple intuitive interface

I like the updated interface. This is my go-to app for a straightforward forecast.

By

Clean weather app

I love simplicity and MetOfficeWeatherForecast does the job!

By

Solid app

Clear, concise, and easy to use.

By

Good, clean, and reliable app!

Does what it's supposed to do.

Snow is cool.

I like it when it predicts snow. Other times, it is just okay. 4 stars.
