When WatchFaces first came out, it was decent. I would rate it as 3 stars originally. Now that they have acquired a large catalog of user created faces they can sell, every interesting or cool watch face is now a “premium” face you must have a monthly subscription to download. Remember, this is a collection of watch faces other people designed, and have given freely to this company. The other major issue I have with WatchFaces, is when you tap on a watch face thumbnail to see it in detail, when you exit you’re back at the top of the list. You may have been on watch face #85, but now you’re back at watch face #1 and I have to scroll all the way back down – every single time. That’s ridiculous.

TL:DR Even the vanilla Apple Watch app is a better choice, WatchFaces is scum.

I can’t believe WatchFaces is being promoted on WatchFaces Store. First of all its so called “create your own” feature is 5$ to gain access and it’s just a remapped version of the standard Apple Watch app. What a ripoff. Secondly the majority of watch faces you can access, without the premium account, are broken and don’t function. As for the premium account, it’s whatever; if you want to subscribe to the service it’s your choice. I don’t believe WatchFaces or it’s services are worthy, a paid for third party app that can’t function at a basic level is hilarious. Even when those basic functions are remapped Apple API.

i paid for the premium as the designs in WatchFaces are INCREDIBLE. i want one so bad, WatchFaces keeps on wanting me to RE purchase premium in order to put the faces on my watch. when I switch over to the “profile” tab to restore my purchases, by the time i am back at the face that i want to download that app is telling me to start a free trial again. not to mention it won’t find my watch and there is zero section for help or advice on how to do so. someone from WatchFaces please reach out to me. so close, such an amazing concept but WatchFaces is litterally not working.

WatchFaces is nice, but I always remember that I choose a single watch face and use it just about forever. Using WatchFaces would make me pay $4.99 per month just for using one watch face that was created by another user. That’s $60 per year. For any subscription I always look at what I get for the cost and compare that to how much I get from and pay for Office 365 for 6 people. Why would I pay $60 per year for this? I do not understand. It’s pretty ridiculous. Since every app developer now wants a monthly fee, we’d end up paying the cost of an expensive car note monthly just for apps.

Ok first as someone who has bad knees I find it really hard to walk 10,000 steps per day but every watch face is set to that goal with no way to adjust it. Also it’s infuriating that every time I go and click on a watch face to get a better look when I go back to continue browsing I get thrown back to the top of the list and not where I left off. It really upsets me to leave this review because other than these two things I adore WatchFaces and would give it 5 stars if they fixed theses.

Really awesome faces and very easy to use, nothing complicated when adding a face to your Apple Watch. I love that. The monthly price is too high to justify for me personally. Lots of nice free faces and most of the premium(paid) faces just don’t stand out enough to justify a $4.99 monthly cost. $1.99 a month instead? Yes. For now, I will keep using the free faces but the cost should be lower, or the premium faces should be more unique and cool to justify that much a month.

WatchFaces is excellent and has so many options. But aside from that, I had purchased the premium subscription, yet the faces still didn't sync, and it did not update whatsoever. I paid for the subscription, yet when I download the one I want, it says that I am on trial, so I click on it, but it tells me Im already a premium subscriber. I tried sticking around and messed with it here and there, but no change. Sad that I loved so many of the designs, and they were all fantastic, but man, it's misleading.

For the past two weeks WatchFaces ’s gone crazy: half the time complications do not work or update, the show a lock over each, asking me to subscribe to Premium, which I am already subscribed. The phone app logs me out constantly. When that happens, the faces stop working on the phone. I restore 3-4 times a day; sometimes even that isn’t doable: I get 403 Forbidden on the phone app, and nothing else. It’s like a toddler took over app development and messed up everything. Wish I could attach pics and screenshots. You can’t believe how bad it got… hope someone is paying attention. I did notify customer support. Nice people, but unsure if and when there will be any fixes.

There needs to be more ways to filter faces, by free and premium would be a great start. Also when you click on a watch face to look closer and then go back it brings you back to the top which can be super frustrating when you have scrolled pretty far down already. Make these changes and my rating will definitely change!!!!

When scrolling through several pages of watch faces, you select the one you like and go to look at it… when hitting the back arrow or swiping back it takes you to the very top of the page losing your spot. This is extremely frustrating if you’re several pages down and notates careless design. It doesn’t make me stay on your app longer, I turn it off and don’t search any farther down the page. Please fix this.

It is good while it works…. But while I’m in WatchFaces it keeps logging me out. I’ll be scrolling through looking at the faces having already logged in and choose one only to be told I need to sign up for premium or log in AGAIN. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. fix that. I should only have to log in once and not have to log in again. It’s really getting on my last nerve. Because I actually love all the options but it’s turning me off from WatchFaces slowly.

I would leave a higher rating, but there is no way to filter the faces by the series of watch. I have a series 1, and I have no way to filter out any faces that will not work on my watch. I spent the last hour going through every face in a category and being told it’s not available for my series. It would save a ton of time if I could filter out certain series in a search or category.

WatchFaces has a lot of fun faces to add to your Apple Watch. I question why I would want to pay $60 a year for watch faces, so the premium tier is not for me.

My biggest complaint is that WatchFaces itself is very buggy. Half the Explore menu often goes blank, meaning you can’t get to the rest of the categories. Trying to favorite a face sometimes means it goes into a loop. You have to force-close and reopen WatchFaces to restore it, and that sometimes has to be done more than once. But the most irritating thing is that when you choose a face to favorite it, you’re dragged all the way back to the top of that menu when you come out again. Please, programmers, add in some stability! I gave up on looking at the categories out of frustration.

I will enjoy the few faces I did manage to choose before I gave up.

I really like WatchFaces and the faces that are available. I actually just found out about it and have had my watch for year now lol. I would have given WatchFaces 5 stars but I don’t like having to go all the way back through all the faces when I find one I want to get. I just wanna continue looking through the faces, not have to scroll back through them all. Overall it’s a decent app and helps to give your watch a little extra dope factor.

When you scroll down a bit and choose a watch to add it takes you all the back to the top. Frustrating as you have to scroll down again where you were. It’s annoying because there are so many choices and you scroll down a lot so when it takes you at the top again you have to start again. It does not save your last spot. Please fix!!!

I just wish that when I press the Back button after viewing a face, it would stop taking me back to the top of the page. I would love it to take me back to where I was in the scrolling instead of making me scroll all the way back through to get to where I was.

It was a little but to set up step wise but it is totally easy and once you get it changing your watch face is so EASY. They have a ton of free ones from categories that other apps don’t have and it’s free! 5/5 would recommend.

Let me start by saying I LOVE Facer. When I first started using it EVERYTHING was free. Now it seems that everything is premium. I still enjoy the faces I can get for free, and may someday break down and pay for premium. Super easy to use and overall I’m happy with WatchFaces , I’m just cheap....

WatchFaces is great!!! It has a lot of cool watvc faces and I think it has very very very high potential! ❤️👍😊 But there’s just one problem. I’m really into a show called stranger things (sure you’ve heard of it) it’s about the girl with the mind powers and the monster takes the boy. Anyway,Facer does not have many stranger things watch faces. It has a few,but I would like some more! Thank u!

Bravo Zulu!!!! Way to source things up with apple. This is Huge. I hope apple is paying attention. And I hope these guys have more in the customizations department for phone as well. We need a game changer for phone as well. Again apple stop catering to the over half a century crowd, and open this thing up.

I bought an Apple Watch to replace a failing Pebble because I thought it would be at least as customizable. It's not, and even with WatchFaces, I can't choose the size and location for the digital time display. Notice in the sample faces how it's always at the top right? Well, that's because it's the only place that Apple lets you put it, unless you're willing to have it in 2 places. WatchFaces should only boast the ability to create custom face backgrounds, not custom faces.

I finally got the faces on my watch and it’s way better than on gear s app. But when i turn off the ‘Watch always on’ feature on my gear s2, the clock stops responding and stops on the time when the screen turns off. Only works when ‘Watch always on’ feature is turned on. But that uses a lot of battery.

I know it is due to a limitation in watchOS, and hopefully will be fixed in watchOS 3, but using WatchFaces's photos on the watch face requires removing your regular images from the watch. Some people may not mind this, but I would prefer to keep access to my own photos, and these on the watch. Also some of the albums I was interested in (specifically the periodic table and constellation ones) are not free (however there are many other free ones so I would still use it if not for the first limitation I mentioned). For now I will continue using the modular face, but WatchFaces may be useful for others. Also the Instagram functionality is unavailable.

If only Apple would allow custom watch faces with complications and ways to look at the time then just a static digital readout then it would be awesome. Sadly that isn't a possibility yet so have this awesome app that steps up to the plate. WatchFaces is simple to use and even more simple to set up. If you want an app extension for your watch then WatchFaces should do just fine. Would give it 5 stars if it came with more categories, I suspect it will after a while though.

By far one of the best Apple Watch Apps there are! I love it! Completely customize your own watch face and show your originality and self expression or simply choose from the endless subjects they provide with really decent pictures.

I was honestly expecting this to be another cheesy blah blah beep app that over promies and under delivers.

Love that all the free images I can use through WatchFaces. Even better is the ability to make my own slide show like content to personalize my face on my watch. Just wish there was a few more options to choose from as far as categories and styles went in WatchFaces . Other than that WatchFaces is pretty great!

I think this is the best watch face app for Gear S3 on IOS good job guys, at first i was having issues with syncing watch faces. The easy workaround is have ur watch connected via Bluetooth click to send a face and just disable phones Bluetooth and instantly see the watch face applied just have the watch on auto connect to wifi when Bluetooth is off in watch settings.

Being able to change the face and or color or your apple watch each time you raise your wrist should be something built into the watch OS and hopefully it will be someday.. but until that time.. Facer is your answer. It works seamlessly and with ease. Setup is a breeze and the backgrounds you can choose are ample with extras for a small fee. Seriously well thought out and a MUCH NEEDED and welcome addition to the apple watch apps! Keep it up Facer team.. Bravo!

If you're a hard head like me and want to live in the Google space but have an iPhone, WatchFaces is a must have for Wear OS. I am ecstatic at the selection of faces available for my Ticwatch Pro and to be honest, WatchFaces just stopped me from returning it and paying twice as much for an Apple Watch. Thank you devs for this.

Only downside I see is that I'm unable to purchase (or just haven't found the correct place where to) Facer Premium.

I love all the different pictures on WatchFaces! Not only are they absolutely 🤩😱breathtaking but they make you feel like you were there. I really like that your able to add your own pics to the mix as well. I think the only downside that I can think of is that it does drain your battery a bit faster just because it is constantly rotating through the different category of pics that you chose.🤨

Im just getting familiar with this watch thing so took me a whileto fig out the works. So, luv the diferent faces & how to hand them to the watch. I really like having more than 1 watch active & with me at same time. I liked apples watchs snd facer just mskes it even better. Keep new watches coming and the more unique and active the better, luv the active movements etc. Friend of mine who refused to get a smart watch saw my faces and now thinking on getting one. More functionality please Thnks

... then this is WatchFaces for you. I was getting bored with the default Apple Watch faces and was looking for something fun and unique. I definitely found it with the Facer app!

I love the Vintage Travel posters: every time I raise my wrist, a new vintage poster graces the face of my watch screen. It is really unique, and if you'd like to change things up, their library offers choices at a low price (0.99$), as well as some free ones, which are equally beautiful and special.

Give Facer a chance: you won't be disappointed!

I love WatchFaces it's easy to work you can have all of your pictures on your apple watch and the coolest theme that they have right now is definitely the one with mixed drinks so that when you're hanging out with your friends you can just look at your Watch and make people yummy things to drink and enjoy the night.
