Another app from SBI to waste my time on.
Tried to login and says “Not able to process now”.

A situation of being away from the country and trying to transfer some funds through SBI is like mission impossible.

Different type of OTPs go to different mobile numbers. Need to remember another password for accessing profile.

What a mess SBI - I understand it’s all done for safety but what is the point in making things so hard that it never works and blaming it on safety.

Request your developing team to at least refer apps from other banks to see how lightweight, modern and easy it is to use.

From SBISecureOTP ratings it is pretty clear that all are having the same issue.

I had to request my friend to transfer the money to my home from his Citibank account.

Feeling so bad and frustrated.

This used to be the go to app for NRIs to use their accounts in India. Who even uses SBISecureOTP when they’re in India and can get sms on their phone? he whole point is to use it online and now they introduced an sms component which makes it harder to register when you are outside India.

Such a waste of time and effort on an another useless app. But you definitely met expectations as like many of your system and user experience improvements. It didn’t work. You should be ashamed for pushing these functionalities wo proper due diligence, testing and validation.

I tried using it never works. I am stuck. I can’t even open a customer care ticket because it doesn’t give right options. People pleas stop using this bank because they are too big and they don’t care

Unable to register since i have a US mobile number . And second - after being able to register with the Indian mobile number - we keep getting asked to re-register multiple times .

Note for NRIs: to unblock yourself, go to profile settings through sbi website and change high security option to sms.
SBISecureOTP is no more usable. Salute to developers hired by SBI who didn't think this through, that the only problem SBISecureOTP solved was to avoid using registered phone to get otp everytime.

Why is it so hard for SBI to come up with Apps and NetBanking features that work !!!

Net baking fails to send OTP, updating mobile number to new one takes , multiple phone calls and endless waiting on customer support lines, so frustrating

Keep this crap open for some time and then it locks you out for 5 mins saying "You have an active session due to abrupt closure of App. Kindly try after five minutes.". So secure that even regular users give up. No users, no security issues!

SBISecureOTP never worked. I have been trying every few months since 2020 to see if they have fixed this but sadly they have not. I have finally given up. Shame on you SBI! You are the worst Bank I have ever experienced.

I am using secure otp for more than 5 years and suddenly not able to register SBISecureOTP . I am in USA and cannot use my Indian SIM card in my mobile. However the new online secure otp app requires us to install SBISecureOTP in phone having the registered number sim. I request the sbi/app developer to help me. I need to do urgent transactions

Hello App support team This versions of app is not working. After the first registration page and sending SMS message with key to the predefined number. The second page stuck with “authenticating....” message and nothing happens. I also deregistered in the online SBI and downloaded the SBI secureOTP app again to go through the registration process as per the instructions given on the help page. Please advise.

After downloading application and following all steps, getting “unable to process your request. Please try after some time” message since yesterday. Couldn’t register the application to get OTP and compete transfer transaction. I am in USA and trying to operate NRI account

I recently updated SBISecureOTP it failed to register my mobile. I was using secureOTP more than 4 years without any issue. The new mobile verification is not happening correctly for abroad mobile numbers. The developer should act immediately for fixing the problem.

After registration, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Other times, it asks you to register again (sometimes with your old phone number, through which you cannot register). Please fix it, or do not force to use SBISecureOTP.

I am an NRI currently residing in US. When I try to register using the SBI secure OTP it is not allowing me to do this. Need urgent help with this. Don’t know where to look for help.

Edit: Got a response from the developer asking to send feedback and images explaining issue to the provided email Id which I did. Waiting for a response to that email now.

Even a 12th standard or a college student would write better software than yours. SBI website is a nightmare; the YONO app is another nightmare. Secure OTP app is out of this world. I am speechless. If I ever get this Secure OTP app to work, I would get a migraine. Even the most straightforward login process is made so tedious in your apps. OTP does not add secure layers.

Please learn from other banks. Hire a world-class software development team to build quality software. Do not enforce poorly written software down our throats.

I am writing this review as an SBI customer. I have been with SBI for over 20 years. I have an NRO account with SBI. I was getting OTPs through SMS until I clicked on Secure OTP method on my internet banking.

SBISecureOTP cannot be in installed on a non-India number. It stops the OTPs even when you couldn’t complete registering for SBISecureOTP .

SBI manages to mess up every single experience for its customers and this is deeply disappointing.

I think developers of SBISecureOTP is one of the toughest mind in world because they don’t know whole they’re developing app. It is not a reliable app for a financial transactions. If you have got a bad experience in SBI branch then SBISecureOTP is not much short of similar experience!

No delays unlike SMS OTP. Works every time. Usability could be improved further by reducing few clicks. 1. Add logout on every screen, so user doesn’t need to go to Home Screen every time just for logout. 2. On logged out screen, no need to show pop up message, as it shows login screen upon logout.

I downloaded SBISecureOTP it helps me to get OTP for all transactions when out of India or in India. You don’t need phone OTP anymore. first have to register SBISecureOTP with your registered mobile number with bank and after that SBISecureOTP will work.
