Review Update. I am downgrading DotKnot to one star.
When I first started playing this game, the frequent ads were annoying. But I continued playing, because I was enjoying it. Now the ads have become intrusive. I start a game and within a minute it’s interrupted by an ad. That’s unacceptable.

I am really enjoying this game. It’s fun and challenging. Some boards are relatively easy and others require a lot of thought. There are two negatives. One is that ads have become too frequent. After every board you have to watch an ad. Or close the game and reopen it. The second is that it’s possible for a player to manipulate their time on a board. The number of impossibly low scores I’m seeing suggests a lot of people have figured it out. This means the leaderboard is meaningless.

Many challenging puzzles but illogical operations. If one can’t fill in all squares, the Challenge is aborted and lost - very poor customer management. Why not have a 100 point charge to see the solution and move to the next level? Or a decline button? What Do you lose if I’m aborted? At least 5 ads!! If I am trying a path from one dot and then go to the destination dot you erase the path, Why? Why not allow me to hold a line and start a connecting path from the second dot? For a dot that is surrounded by others there is only one way out, let me make that path, because there is only one way and freeze on a square or hold that line. Your ad breaks every 30 seconds is extremely annoying. All of these add up to that I am ready to delete DotKnot. The bad far out weighs the fun, enjoyment, and challenge. Sorry to see you go. Good app challenge but extremely poor execution.

DotKnot tracks all of your info, including your geolocation. There’s no way to opt out of it. I downloaded DotKnot because I love this game but removed it immediately. In order to play, you have to agree to their privacy policy which lists examples of what they track, they don’t even provide the full list. Do you really want them in your photos, gaining access to all of your contacts, texts, credit card info and access to all the bills you pay online? Yeah, me either and that’s why I immediately removed this garbage. I would give this zero or a negative number of stars if possible.

Loved this game before the update! it was so good and relaxing. Even got my husband hooked. I went as far as to purchase it. I usually don’t purchase these games. These huge changes can be very disappointing for people who have already invested $$. Maybe the “move limits” and “coins” can be for another game you release. Please give us back our favorite game!! Husband already took it off his phone because he did not like the changes. We were hoping for a change like, being able to admire the completed puzzle instead it disappearing the moment we finished.

It’s a nice game for the iPad. But the touch response is too laggy. And there are too many ads, including ad breaks when you’ve just started a game. And many of these ads crash DotKnot , leaving a blank black, or occasionally blank white screen, necessitating an app close and reset, losing any progress you’ve made. I doubt I can play for more than 10 minutes typically before a crash. Cannot recommend unless you like frustration.

Edit: The developers suggested sending them screenshots to identify what they called “bad ads” after crashes. Which is absurd, because pictures of blank screens won’t help them. (They can’t have read what I wrote properly.) I have now switched to Flow Free, which runs much smoother, and where ads NEVER crash DotKnot . It all makes me think the Dot Knot app itself is what’s causing the crashes. Uninstalling.

I’ve been playing Flow (and all of its variations) for years now... those games do the same thing and are better in practically every way. The ads are MUCH less intrusive in Flow (and if I remember correctly, you actually get more free levels than you do in this game) and this game just feels worse in the actual puzzles, because it does nothing to try to snap onto where your finger is if you go a little too fast on a corner in the path, so you’re forced to awkwardly backtrack and take extra time to carefully do each turn perfectly. The only mechanic that I think still holds up with this game when it’s compared to Flow are the multi-color points, which I’ve never seen done before and are an interesting idea, for sure. Sadly, it’s not enough to make me want to play this game any longer than I already have. Flow is just... better.

I do like this game very much but the last upgrade took the hints bonus to a new low. I was on the bottom row about to hit 800 points only to refresh and it’s gone! Now the most you can get is 250 and that’s after 30 days of check ins. The greed monster must have gotten his grubby paws in it and messed it up for everyone! I’ll watch your ads but I won’t be giving you any more money for hints after this move. Up until now this has been a really fun game but ….. greed!

I was really enjoying the challenge of this game and the satisfaction of achievement. I was also doing pretty well…. Until some things suddenly changed. For example, watching a video to gain points before getting a clue… several times a rather long video started to REPEAT several times before I earned the points. Then the most annoying thing…. AD BREAKS!! Suddenly out of nowhere in the middle of a move my focus is broken because of an “ad break”…. That’s in addition to the usual ads between games. The ad breaks only started after I reached a certain level in the game and had been playing for a while. I don’t know why…..these things put me right off the game and I decided to delete DotKnot .

This is a great game. For those with issues regarding too many ads, turn your WiFi off. The game is playable offline. My reason for the 3 stars is the inability to go any further with the game. I completed all 60 stages, level 1800. At one point I could see there were more levels and a message would pop up saying I needed to complete all stages to continue to the next stage. I no longer see the next stage. I still do the daily challenges, and when looking at the leaderboard there are players with with much higher stages and levels. For example, there is 1 player at level 2100 stage 60, and another at level 2056 stage 68. What am I missing?

I really enjoy this game and would love to give it 5 stars but if you choose to watch an ad to buy points they make the x extremely small and I think only one pixel must be active because you have to try and click it a dozen times and each unsuccessful click brings up the install screen for the advertised app so I will no longer watch videos to buy points and you can bet I won’t install the advertised game.

I’m addicted to this game. I buy coins and even paid to get rid of the ads. I don’t play to be the fastest, just to get to the next level. I only use help after I’ve tried 20+ possibilities. It’s very satisfying to beat a level especially when I do it on my own. I like that the higher the level the more complex the puzzles become but yet a few less complicated ones are thrown in. With this said, It cost 250 coins for help. That’s fine but it’d be better if we could earn more than 100 coins for finishing a stage or even earn extra coins when completing the daily challenges. You could give 100 coins per puzzle but deduct coins if help is given.
Overall, this is one of my favorite games to play and would give 5 ⭐️’s if we were rewarded with more coins.

The game itself is really fun!! It’s genuinely challenging and compelling to play. It’s honestly so difficult, it prevents me from playing too much because I will inevitably get stuck and the forced break usually helps me solve the puzzle when I come back in a few hours. My only complaint is that the ad frequency is absolutely bonkers out of control. If it was an ad after every level, that’d be fine I guess. However, it’s not just that. You get ads in the middle of a level. Sometimes more than one. It’s intolerable. Since it was only $3-4 to pay once to get rid of them, I bit the bullet and paid to remove ads. Grumbled the whole time though. Never seen a game with THAT many ads. So, kind of annoying on that front but, fortunately, the game itself is enjoyable enough to justify the purchase. Alas.

This game is pretty good and competitive. It has so many levels so you don’t have to end so soon. Plus the timing also brings out the competition to players to test themselves on how fast they can complete the level.

The game is good. However, it does come with a flaw, especially on Mobile.

The swiping is what I’m annoyed with. It is difficult to swipe where you want to go at a fast pace. Like literally, when I try to connect one point to another, the connecting stops and will take more time to just complete that one segment. I try to beat the records but because of the swiping, it’s impossible. I hope you devs can do something about this, otherwise I might not be playing the game anytime soon if this keeps up.

I love playing this game. Sometimes, even on a difficult puzzle, I solve it right away — others are a huge challenge to my brain!
I JUST enjoy doing the puzzles…I don’t care about all the extras, and don’t understand what all the logos mean. (I haven’t found a place where they’re explained/defined, but I really don’t care about any of that - contests, bonuses, etc).
But the ads are making me crazy - not just between games, but DURING a game! Now that I know I enjoy the game, I’d be happy to pay the $3.99. HOWEVER….I see nowhere to do that! It gave me ONE opportunity, but by the time I found my PW, the opportunity was gone.
Obviously, I’m missing something - can someone tell me how to pay for NO ADS?

It’s not like I’m emotionally attached to a game, but I loved Flow Free when I was younger. The good old games like Fruit Ninja and Subway Surfers are the games I grew up with. Now all people do is make annoying, add-filled, aggravating games. This game is basically a copy of Flow, but more “modernized” and similar to games now. The ads in Flow Free were less intrusive. There were spread out and you didn’t feel very annoyed when they came on. These ads are just like the ads in every other game. What I’m trying to say is this game is Flow Free, except with more ads and limitations. The game doesn’t give you a really good nostalgia feel. I recommend downloading Flow Free instead of this.

I love this game, it really makes me think and I love how it saves your progress if you need to stop! My problem is the ads while you are trying to solve the puzzles! I don’t mind ads and I understand it keeps the game free, but in the middle if the game, I’m ready to delete DotKnot , and I’m realizing the higher up in levels you go, the more adds during each puzzle! Why can’t the adds only show after you solve the puzzles or if you have to stop, when you open DotKnot but not in the middle of solving the puzzle!!!

I've had this game for about a month on my phone. Within the last few days, in the middle of solving a puzzle, a coffee break icon shows up and it breaks to an add. After the add, it goes back to the puzzle, but then I'm flustered that I lost my momentum. There are some times that the icon shows up and cuts off my flow several times in a single puzzle. What is going on? Usually if there's an add, it shows up after puzzle completion. It should not be cutting me off while I'm trying to solve it.

I’ve been playing this for about 2 weeks now. When I first started there would be an ad between every other game or so. That didn’t bother me. You gotta pay the bills too. Then 2 days ago I started getting “ad breaks” 2 and 3 times during game play. Not ok. I play to relax and the screen switching to an advertisement as I’m making a move is anything but relaxing. I hope you can do something about this so I can give the game the 5 stars it deserves.

I really like this. I was willing to buy the add free version that was occasionally offered but it never could connect / work. Initially the adds were just as you started a puzzle and I’m ok with that I realize adds are necessary. However ads are popping up in the middle of a puzzle after a few moves. I can’t continue and solve the puzzles with so many interruptions. I’m probably going to just delete DotKnot if I can’t get the ads free option.

I changed my review. DotKnot support was very helpful. Turned out to be my problem. I had in-app purchases turned off.

This game is fun, relaxing, and just the right amount of challenging. There aren’t a bunch of ads either, only a few.

You know those mobile game ads that show a game that’s nothing like the real game? Lots of them show this game, or something like it (Two Dots, for example, pretends to be a game similar to this one it’s ads, but isn’t really anything like this game). There’s a reason other games pretend to be this one. Because this one is more fun than all of them.

I really like this game. The only feature that I think shows inefficiency is: I’ve encountered a few levels whereby I am able to connect the dots accordingly with a few unused spaces left. So then I get the message that “almost done. Have to connect the dots using all the square spaces”. If I’m able to connect all the dots using the minimum amount of squares (efficient way), why is the game forcing me to find a less efficient way? Other than that, this game is very engaging.

I played the game for months where I could use as many moves as needed to complete the puzzle. Thats the way i like to play. Suddenly one day last week I opened the game and it was changed to completing the puzzle within a certain number of moves or you have to buy more moves. I contacted customer support by Messenger and by email explaining to them what happened and asking if there was any way to change the game back to how I previously played it. That’s been almost a week ago and I haven’t heard from them.

For someone like me that tries a hundred times in a level, to get the best possible time, every second counts. I’ll re-do a single level for hours to reduce a second. So the bug/glitch I’m talking about is if you beat a level in under a second, your score will show up as 0. However, if you open that level again, it will reset as a new game, so whatever time you get upon re-opening the level with 0 seconds, will be your actual score. So I had to spend hours and hours trying to beat the levels again, to get my leaderboard back up. I was able to get 2/3 levels back to 0 seconds. If you beat a level with 1 second or more, your time is permanent, and doesn’t get deleted. Why do the developers punish the people who devote their lives to getting the best time on their game? I want my score to be put back to 0 seconds. That’s only fair, and you should fix the bug for the people who love the game enough to try and get the best time.

I really enjoy this game!! I think it sharpens my mind and problem-solving. I like the pace of the games (I can go slow or fast), the mixture of complexities among the games, and the shaded out parts of the grid that help me see pathways I may have overlooked. And I love the colours! My only gripe is that once I solve the puzzle, *poof* it disappears! I get that I can immediately jump to the next game but if I have worked hard to finally solve the puzzle, I would like to study my accomplishment! Could you change this, please?

The point of each puzzle is to connect colored dots and fill in all the spaces with connecting lines. That’s it. No time limit, no character in peril, no competition (unless you really want to be on the leaderboard and practice each puzzle over and over). You can pause the timer on a puzzle and come back to it, so it’s great for entertainment when you’re waiting somewhere. You can “buy” a clue with in-game coins, and you get free coins when you check in each day and more if you watch an ad. For a very low price you can get an ad-free version. Remembering that you have to fill in all spaces as well as connect the dots can also be a clue, because sometimes a line connecting two dots can wind around other dots. One question for the developers, though: the game awards “diamonds” for sharing it. What are they for?

I just came across your game. I play this for a special and logic work out for the brain. Kind of like my visual tracking that I needed to go through after a stroke. But this game is much more fun. But this game is not easy. This game is a workout for your brain…visually, visual tracking visual logically, problem solving. I think any one from 8 to 108 will benefit in multiple brain ways when playing this little masterpiece. If you have a few minutes between meetings, while waiting for you child to come out of school, or wanting a relaxing brain teaser few minutes or a longer time frame. I’ve even played with my grandson where we are both trying to find the correct path together. Whenever we solve one, we both look at each other and say “just one more.”

It has a mix of easy levels and very difficult ones. There were a lot of ads and they did get annoying so I paid for ad free and I am so glad I did! It is worth it for how much I play (daily, right before bed to relax). On that note: the daily challenge for June 22, 2020 level 2 froze every time I solved it. I could not move on to level 3 of the daily challenge. I looked at the leaderboard to see how everyone else did but I got a “no data available” message for it. Could be a glitch? Other than that it has been a great game.

Update (Aug 2020): 2100 levels and the game ended. Please consider creating more levels. I loved playing this game. It helped me relax but also made me think.

I Love this Game❣️ I am, however, curious about the Tournaments it says you can participate in bc out of the 600+ puzzles I’ve completed I’ve never been notified of a tournament?? Is this a setting I have set wrong?
Regardless, Knots provides my mind w a challenge to look forward and very much enjoy the extra daily timed puzzles too!
I am worried though, after reading some reviews, that once I complete them all I will also be in the group that wishes there were more to come... Please make more levels!

I’m recovering from a horrific head wound which means playing games I use to play are no longer an option. I chose this game because it looked like fun, it turned out to be true!!! I enjoy how each level is more difficult than the previous levels. I’m really happy to have found this game.
Please understand that this game is in no way only for skier thinking people! Try playing it yourself and you will see what I mean!!!

The game is great. Definitely gets more and more difficult as the levels progress (like all good games should) and takes a decent amount of brainpower..

Also, I appreciate that there aren’t many forced commercial breaks. I understand that games need ads to generate revenue; but it seems that the developers have put some thought into when the ads play. And for that, they deserve to be praised.

It was a fun afternoon …. No time at all figuring out the game and rules. First new game that’s held my interest in awhile. I’ll download a game and most of the time I’ll play it and as soon as my mind starts to drift onto other things, the game gets deleted. Nice it doesn’t have to be a time limit on each game.

I’m having a blast with this uptick from an old plumbing game I used to play. I am totally impressed. I've been playing for less than thirty minutes and this is my first ever written review. The first time I've felt like I wanted to tell others about my experience.
This 'game' has new twists and turns including multi colored discs which connect to more than one color of discs.
Add the element of "bridges" to to the mix and it ramps up ANOTHER notch!
I'm a 73 year old grandmother who is always looking for a challenge to my mind. This has, in my opinion, done more to stimulate my brain than all the other word and number games I've played, that tout their worth on the internet.
Give it a try, I think you'll be pleased with the time you spend with it.

Sorry this is not about this game but can anyone please try to get the game “Disney fairies fashion boutique” back? I know it does not exist anymore, but I miss it because I used to play it with my mom when I was about 3-5 years old! I loved it! Sorry about talking only about that game but I also love this game I used to play it with my dad when I was little too.

I have throughly enjoyed playing this game! I enjoy the variety of levels and the fact that you are only racing the clock. Also, customer service is on point! I had an issue and they were fast to respond and fixed my issue ASAP! Great service!!
