Acronym Finder Reviews

iOS 14.2 on a 12Pro. Tried reboot, remove and reinstall. Looked for help at the help link (useless points to help using the functioning app), and of course at ‘app support’ which simply dumped me at their web page— not a support page. No real support anywhere. No one else appears to have this problem. I’m not going to reset an otherwise fully functioning device for one problematic unnecessary app.
‘Feedback’ seems to be the only via to query them for some help. Sent feedback 7/5/21. We’ll see. Meanwhile, looking elsewhere.

It does the job. Finds you whatever you’re looking for. but when I saw it got an update for iphone x and above after 4 years of silence from the devs, I was honestly a bit excited to see how AcronymFinder looks now. However, I found out all they did was adding some banner ads to the bottom of the screen as if that was the only thing missing. Now it looks like a crappy app like the rest of the free dictionaries. I wouldn’t mind the ad if the overall look of AcronymFinder was updated to look “new”. but i feel there was absolutely zero effort involved in making the last version.

I love being able to look up acronyms on demand and take away some of the cryptology that acronyms can make modern conversations into.

This program has been so useful to me! I get a lot of use out of it.

I probably use this all more often than most others. SO useful.

I hope there is a tool to highlight one phase in a favorite acronym, because one has too many meaning.

I've been a long-time user of the website and now that it has an app , I strongly recommend downloading AcronymFinder without hesitation!

I looked up many acronyms used in Nuclear Power where a friend works just to check it out. Wow they were right on every time good job!

I hear so many different acronyms in my job that AcronymFinder is a life saver. Easy to use and have only once not found the correct acronym.

So glad my favorite website is back in app form!

Would give it four stars if it allowed me to remove items from the list of saved choices.

I am getting up in years and I seem to have forgotten a large number of the acronyms that I used with associates and friends on a regular basis. You will not believe how good one feels when they can still communicate at the level they once were accustomed to using without that puzzled look on their face.

Seems very through, but does it really need to ask for a review after three or four test uses.

Might be nice to be able to set a nation and or language limiter. I'm USA, most days i do not need danish or Egyptian acronyms.

This is the most exhaustive source of acronyms I have been able to find. It is critical to my job in supporting the government, as they tend to be acronym heavy. (It also serves as comic relief in reading through the myriad of acronyms for a given term.)

I work with a lot of DOD (military) customers and they love their acronyms.
AcronymFinder finds all but the very newest. I think there is a department within the DOD who's job is to come up with new acronyms. Staying on top of new acronyms is next to impossible.

Acronym Finder is the cats meow (CM). I use it often in my reading and research to cut to the chase when I am confronted with an obscure acronym (OA). It is comprehensive and great fun to peruse even when your mystery acronym is completely quotidian (CQ).

Seriously, this is a no-joke app with thousands of acronyms cutting across every domain of nomenclature, named institution, named entity, or named phenomenon.

Truly an amazing and extremely useful app!!! I'm thrilled to FINALLY not have to ask my 21yr old sister what most slang acronyms stand for!!!

Only wish I was able to add AcronymFinder to my Keyboards & wish you were able to view a list (dictionary format ) of all acronyms subdivided by category!!!

News outlets, writers and the general population often operate with the assumption that all of America has the same knowledge of the meanings of acronyms. I find myself using AcronymFinder as often as I use a dictionary or thesaurus. It is an extremely helpful app in clarifying meaning in context, as it gives most possible meanings of acronyms.

I keep AcronymFinder and it’s website open all day as I navigate the news. There’s always new acronyms popping up, as well as older ones I hadn’t read before. And thanks to our adaptive language, acronyms can now be used as nouns, verbs, adjectives etc.

Great app, one of the best in Acronym Apps category. Very elaborated, expanded & detailed Acronym finder.
I highly recommended it for all professions.
