Would give it a five star rating if tweaked a bit with currency format and a total cost row/cell for exporting. It really helped me on my last trip. Easy to use and figure out. I recommend it!

Simple easy to use app. Would like an option to add a sim if money and it to tell me how much is left (per diem) on a daily basis.

ie on a business trip, say I’m allowed x dollars a day for meals. When I input my meal costs it tells me how much I have left for that day.

Expense makes tracking spending easy and simple. You create your categories and away you go! Exporting would be nice to select what week or month you want to export but other than that I like this one the best of those out there.

Great app for managing monthly expenses easily without a lot of feature overhead. Simple and to the point!

Small feature request though. Currently the only way to organize totals is by day or month. If there was a way to organize by week or bi-weekly, that would be great!

This is exactly what I was looking for - very simple, very intuitive, non automated this app tracking.

I found it through a post on LifeHacker, whose author said “these automated apps remove a sense of responsibility for tracking my own spending” which I completely agree with. I’ve tried Mint and the likes, but I wanted something I can add to myself on the go.

I also try to avoid paper receipts whenever possible, so any of the tracking apps requiring receipt scans don’t work for me either.

A hidden gem. Many options, but still basic which I want. Can export files to excel without a problem. Real life saver.

Expense has been my “go to” for several years now. I keep track of all my spending. Simple, fast, effective, no bloatware.

This is an excellent app. It needs a search function however to be perfect.

I’ve been using Expense since forever, with breaks. I just started using it again and I simply had to write this review. Expense does everything I want the way I want it. I tried dozens of this app tracking apps and I keep coming back to this one. You can tell this was made by someone who’s using Expense themselves. It’s so simple, useful and frictionless. Thank you for making it!

This is one amazing spending tracking app. I have used it for over 6 months. I am extreme pleased with it. One important option which is the year end summary is missing. It should add all the months and categories for the end year summary. That way we know how much we spend on what at the end of the year. Can someone please add this feature??

Exactly what I was looking for. Gives me a very quick and easy way to decrease what I spend each day, week, month. Can be also used to eliminate a particular habit that is tied to money (food habit, drinking, etc.). Definitely recommend this.

Expense does exactly what I want. It’s easy to use, intuitive and if I need additional analysis I can easily export the data. Too many other trackers are all dressed up with added features that result in too many taps just to enter a simple piece of data. This is simple and fast.

App is fine and simple to use but needs extra features like reports and sorting features. Like find the amount for a certain category for a given time period.

Hope there will be more features added in future.

Expense is great, I just wish it had one more feature: the ability to add a ‘memo’ — just a brief text field where I can specify what a particular this app was for. I’m still looking for an app that is simple like this one, but with a memo field. Until I find it, Expense wins!

An excellent piece of software, kudos to the writer of this program. Waiting for some possible enhancements to this program.

My Company has about 180 Employees. We are located beautiful Arizona.

I would be conservative to say that 50 to 60 percent in my Company use this program and never a problem, easy to work with.

Simple but powerful, it has a lot of flexibility in changing things and would like to see a bit more.

If I would be asked if I know I of anything that would be good for the program I’d say, some type of online help or something in the settings, like how to questions.

Expense is just great. I still use it every day and love how simple it is. I do wish there could be some updates though. Maybe an increased list of the category icons or the ability to use Emojis as a category icon. Also the ability to set a recurring this app would be handy.

I have been using this app for over a year now. It is easy to use and works perfectly for tracking day to day expenses. The layout is very intuitive and lets you add expenses quickly, versus the bigger budgeting apps where you end up hunting for the right category. I also love the monthly view, and that you can get your expenses downloaded as a CSV.

I have been using Expense for about 3 1/2 years. I originally got it to keep track of food expenses that I split with a roommate. It is so easy to use. You can create categories and make notes about each purchase . It’s just a very simple easy to understand application and the results can be expected to useful formats.

I’ve tried them all & this is Expense I keep coming back to for my quick, daily spending tracking. It’s fast, slick, and clean. No bells & whistles; it just gets the job done. Export to a spreadsheet if you want to do some analysis.
