Alas, I have to say this once excellent app is deteriorating fast. Now the map barely loads, it remains blank for minutes on end, as others have noticed you get jerky, unreadable squares instead of a smooth image - it’s pretty much getting to be unusable now. What a shame. Someone took a great app and turned it into crap. I don’t really understand why.

RainViewerWeatherRadarLive has one fatal flaw that kept me from keeping a subscription: every time I opened RainViewerWeatherRadarLive , I had to tell it that I wanted the forecast for my current location. Why isn’t this the default? It seems to be the default on every single other weather app I’ve tried. This is annoying, and there doesn’t seem to be any setting to change it.

Also, a giant “NO” on my Apple watch face isn’t something I want to see. Why not just a 0% if there’s no chance of rain?

I look forward to the developers response, since he seems to have responded to every other review. Maybe some of that time could be used to make your current location the default, or at least include a setting for it.

My phone recently upgraded to the newest version and it’s awful! This used to be my go-to app that i had previously given 5 stars and shared with everyone for all weather but after the update we’ve rendered it useless. The timing is off by an hour or more. It never fully loads so i can see the weather from 2 hours ago but not at present. And it’s choppy. The smooth animation is gone on what I CAN see. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled to no avail. My husband, kids, and friends are having the same issue with theirs. So sadly we’ve all had to switch. Please bring back the old!

Seems like a reasonable idea, but RainViewerWeatherRadarLive is not useful as correctly configured.

By way of example, a few moments ago I was informed that it would begin raining in about 20 minutes. It’s been actively raining for an hour, and there has been a storm with some level of precipitation for 24 hours . Clicking over to RainViewerWeatherRadarLive the radar shows that we are squarely in a heavy rain zone. But RainViewerWeatherRadarLive wants to be sure I know that it really won’t start raining until 20 minutes from now — that was standing it’s on radar map, and the wet stuff falling on my head.

Oops.

Couple that with the fact that RainViewerWeatherRadarLive is just overburdened with pop-up ads and begs to install other apps, and it’s not worth the trouble.

Also doesn’t provide enough information- I couldn’t tell in a given day, whether or not it was going to rain. I want to know the likelihood, not just a rain symbol. I’m kicking myself for paying $10 for RainViewerWeatherRadarLive when the free Weather Channel app provides much more information. Wish I could get my $ back.

I absolutely loved RainViewerWeatherRadarLive for quite some time (5 stars all the way), it was by far the best radar app on the market specifically because of the Worldwide coverage, HOWEVER, after I upgraded RainViewerWeatherRadarLive to 2.0 version for some reason the quality of the radar animations is WAY WORSE than in the previous version. It’s not nearly as smooth as it was before - lots of squares as if watching an old Atari game - it hurts my eyes. Why is it??
I was so disappointed that I spent last hour researching how to downgrade RainViewerWeatherRadarLive (no luck unfortunately). Hopefully it will get improved soon...

In the past, it was necessary to remove the advertisement and spent money to buy it, now there is a need to buy a subscription again, unscrupulous merchant，Thank u，I find this button.

I wasn’t aware there were major changes from version 1 to 2. I purchased version 1 because I could save animations to gif and various video formats. Version 2 no longer appears to have these features and the new radar map is like looking through a kaleidoscope which is basically useless to me. I reached out to support but they have not responded. I wish they would put version 1 back out on RainViewerWeatherRadarLive Store as version 2 seems like it should still be in development.

Severe weather this evening and all weather stations nationwide are offline. Not reliable! Can’t believe I paid for this.

Weather rolling in and not getting radar updates in a timely manner. I can get the same service through other apps for free. This will be my last review update. Thanks for the ride with a horrible ending. Don’t waste your money.

Just moved back from Oklahoma back to Poland and loved RadarScope there. This one is really good and only one so far I found that has radars from Poland. I wish resolution was a little better and option to see velocity.

hi , before 3 weeks i guess; the clouds radar is glitching or broken in (Saudi Arabia - Jeddah City) there is a long line of clouds and RainViewerWeatherRadarLive keeps sending notifications repeatedly saying there is rain outside , when it’s actually nothing out there.. please fix the problem and i tried to contact through the email but i didn’t get any answer.

RainViewerWeatherRadarLive truly does what it says it will. The only reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars are that the watchOS app doesn’t have a map feature and there’s no macOS app

I love RainViewerWeatherRadarLive but the one feature I feel is missing is being able to adjust the reflectivity. That’s the one feature that would help when a tornado is nearby

The only app that really integrates weather radar systems from different countries and actually works, and works really well. If you travel internationally RainViewerWeatherRadarLive is essential.

Whenever I’m planning to trip or on the way RainViewerWeatherRadarLive helps me to see the cloud and possible rain in my way, very informative and expectations are true

When I open RainViewerWeatherRadarLive every time the backgroud map reloads when it shouldn't, because it's always the same and reloading uses lots of data. I am using OSM map by the way.

I can confidently say that Rainviewer is one of the most accurate rain radar apps. Completely relay on it while travelling with the family or business trips.

Great app; it does so much more with local weather and forecast radar—good developer's response to my problem log-in problem.

I said app was not working at all in iPhone 6. But just now this has been FIXED right after an update. So I understand it was my fault (although I think it should keep working until such update). Thanks support for the patience.

I like RainViewerWeatherRadarLive except... every time i fast forward the time, it takes like a eternity for it to load up even though i fast forward the time into the future. Also, every time i zoom in a tiny bit to take a closer look, the Weather color DISSAPPEARS!!!!!!!!!! so you have to update RainViewerWeatherRadarLive ASAP!

Paid $2.99 for premium version to get rid of ads - still get full page as well as banner ads! Ridiculous!

I paid for RainViewerWeatherRadarLive and have yet to receive even one rain notification. And when I open RainViewerWeatherRadarLive the radar is paused at the end of the loop rather than auto starting like I have selected in the settings. I wish I had my money back.

Hope they can fix some issues ... for one ... Rain alerts seem Intermittent ... been on off thunderstorms here all day today and yet not one alert .. i have distance set at 30.

The only main problem I have with RainViewerWeatherRadarLive is that when I check the map for rain storms I want to know where it’s at Now to where it’s going...NOT where it’s been & move up till the time it is Now...

Controls disappear, how about continuing the time line past 3 hours?

I would like to add the names of the villages in the maps

RainViewerWeatherRadarLive is missing only future forecast; if that is added it will be near perfect!

I have RainViewer embedded on my website. I loads fine on mobile but not on desktop. How can I troubleshoot this? I see the map, but there is a spinning loading sign on the top right of widget where the time should be displayed. Thank you so much!
