Head Basketball Reviews

I tried playing this game when it first came out and then rage quit after it got too difficult. I recently re-download it to give it another shot, and then immediately remembered why I rage quit in the first place. Each match is determined entirely by rng. There is no strategy involved. Most of the powershots are impossible to counter, meaning that your opponent is almost guaranteed to score at least 2 points. The character that is able to score first is almost guaranteed to win because the rest of the match will just be you and the cpu firing unblockable shots at each other. Each time you score, your opponent will get a powershot ready, so there’s no way to get ahead once the cpus reach a high enough level. There is no enjoyment to be found playing this game because even if you win, it is completely chance-based like flipping a coin. Developers should have quit after head soccer.

This game is mostly fun, but there’s some major issues with one of the modes: Death Mode. First of all, the fact that it takes 5,000 coins to play this mode is absurd, as it is required to unlock certain characters. If unlocking the ring means winning death mode 15 times, then at minimum it costs 75,000 coins. Then, once you get to the end, you get to play against Dante, the most OP character in the game. Not only are his stats literally higher than it is possible for the player character to achieve, the game seemingly shifts the balance towards him, as he mysteriously finds a way to turn any three point shot into a two-pointer. In addition, his ability shots are seemingly uncounterable, leaving you no choice but to get away when he uses one, and guaranteeing him at least 12 points every time, as it’s difficult to even get in the way. The last big issue is in Arcade Mode, and it is the fact that certain characters stats are better than a human player can possibly achieve. The best a human player could do is around 71, and yet there are at least five CPUs with stat levels above 75. While I am fine with boss levels being harder, this is absurd for the arcade mode, as you are expected to be able to beat characters better than you can even hope to achieve by 25 or more for one of the achievements.

Amazing game but have found a few bugs recently. I was about to get over 400 points in super league to get Khan but in the final game when I was 1 point away the game crashed with 4 seconds left and I never got Khan which I’ve been grinding for for 1 month so please fix the crashing. Also I was playing a James in death mode with the drone that burned you. Every time he got burned he kept moving with the burn animation on him. It was funny at first until he hit a buzzer beater 3 to beat me. Also when James doesn’t get touched when he does his dunk it is only 2 points which is annoying cause I could of won or tied some game if it was 3 points. Also taimen or Korea when you do his dunk it’s a 50/50 if it’s going to be 3 or 2 points which is annoying cause going back to James I could of won or tied with it being 3 points. Overall a amazing game that’s underrated and wish that people play multiplayer cause no one plays it. But you can’t do anything except promote the game. This game can still be a hit cause people at my school would always watch when I play and ask to play. This game can be big so don’t give up on it!

Ive been on and off this game for a few years and through the whole time ive playd Yazid’s been my favorite and to get him you gotta win the league without losing and all that
Anyways when i go in league sometimes my game will crash in the middle of the round i guess because of all the power shots or whatever but when i load back in i lost the round 0 - 30 which is making it impossible to get my favorite character again
so if you could just make it where if a game is stopped or something it just resets it or something that would be cool

The concept is great I like the way you unlock characters it’s overall pretty good. But I feel like once I get all the characters I want to unlock the game it dosent feel like there’s much else to do. I feel like if the pvp mode got fixed (because if you try it the game will lag like crazy) the game will feel more fun and complete. Maybe also try a tournament with 8-16 players and if you win enough tournaments on online pvp or if you win with out swipe or something like that you could unlock a new character. I do like that they have added some new modes like head cup and death, but I feel like there’s only so many game modes you can add to keep the game from feeling repetitive. I know head soccer is more popular and that’s the game you guys should care about more due to its popularity but I feel like this game isn’t complete atleast without a couple new characters and fixed online pvp.

This game is really fun but very annoying at the same time, sometimes when you try to shoot your ability shot jumper it makes u dunk and I’ve seen many more, this game could be great and I hope they fix the many bugs in the game. The multiplayer is trash and is in slo motion. I was in the finals of a head cup game with Jeremy and went to shoot an ability jumper and it made me dunk, it lead to a turnover and I lost the game by 1 if I had made that I would have won. This game is so annoying but so fun. The point system is horrible and sometimes counts 3’s as 2’s and 2’s as 3’s. Please fix these and I swear I will play this game til the day I die.

I love this game, I have played it ever since I was a child. But the topic for right now is the bugs I have seen in this game. The game tends to crash a lot. For me it is mainly in Game Mode-(Death) and -(Tournament).
It is really annoying trying to gain the ring from death especially having to pay 5,000 coins each time, but also fighting Dante who mainly causes the game to crash. Also the ball manipulation under the net is annoying. You should not be able to manipulate the points when the ball goes inside the net.
Lastly the balancing is terrible, some of the opponents feel catered to, I hope this gains more attention. I love this game, and I will recommend it to anyone if I really wanted to.
But that does not mean I will not notice it’s flaws and admit that it is not that good right now.

This game is great, I like the graphics, the campaign stories, the characters and their connections with their country, and so much more. But there are a few problems that make me hate this game sometimes. There are two main problems with this game. Firstly, the glitches. It feels like every other campaign game that I play is ruined halfway through because I get kicked out of the game randomly. I’ve actually had an experience where I was two seconds away from completing a campaign, but was kicked. It’s so unbelievably infuriating when it happens time after time, ruining all of your progress. And it’s not just in campaigns. I’ve seen this on multiple occasions in every single game mode. There are other glitches to be addressed such as Jeremy’s dunk, but I’m not going to list those here. The second issue is with the League simulator things. It says that they’re determined by OVR, but I’ve had COUNTLESS experiences of my character having an OVR of 71 and going against a 23 OVR character and losing OVER AND OVER. It’s not just a one-off thing. I found that when I play against bots with an OVR anywhere between 20 less OVR than my character and 10 less than my character, I’d only win 1/10 games, but if their OVR is ten less than my character or greater, I’d have a 0% chance of winning. 0%!!!!!! IF ITS SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON OVR, THEN ACTUALLY MAKE IT BASED ON OVR!!!!! please devs just fix this it’s so annoying

I love this game, but Dante’s abilities in the final stage for Death Mode are just too OP. Giving him a dunk that takes up so much of the court and having to deal with whatever obstacle there is, is really frustrating. HE TELEPORTS ACROSS THE COURT, so he literally DODGES all the obstacles that make it hard to move and shoot. Not only that, but why make the blast on his dunk so large, it’s HUGE. I like the idea of death mode, but it’s so tedious to play the mode 15 times to get the ring, it would be better if it was just 10 times, each crystal just takes two attempts. I don’t mind the cost, since I can get all that money back from playing league. Please give this some thought. There are a good amount of characters that have better abilities than others, and I know it takes skill, but the obstacles in death mode, in the final fight, are extremely annoying. Still love the game, just starting to hate Dante.

Star Wars character!

I don’t care what country, but this is my power idea.

Ground shot: turns to Darth Vader, turns on light saber, swings light saber at the same time moving closer to basket, knocks out character, then backs up to the other side and throws light saber (with the ball) at the basket, and makes a 3 pointer.

Airshot: turns to Darth Sidious, (like what razvan does with the blood thing) uses force lightning on the ground, goes into air, uses more lightning, then shoots lightning into the basket, for a 3 pointer.

Counter: turns to Darth Vader, goes into air and immediately throws light saber at the basket, for a 3 pointer.

On the other hand, amazing game! You may want to change the physics a bit, like when I’m dashing at the basketball and it goes to the basket, sometimes it bounces away and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s just kinda weird. Make it so whenever you shoot at the basket it bounces, so the games a little bit harder. Thank you! Incredible game, you don’t have to add my character but it’s just an idea 😌

I have been hooked on this game for the past week! It is so smoothly made and I love everything about the game. Even being scored on makes me want to play more and improve. I also love how refreshing it feels once you’ve unlocked another character that you’ve been grinding for! I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with for the next update, but either way i’m looking forward to it. I also have an idea for the new characters being 1. Someone controlling the earth and 2. Maybe someone having firearms that they could use to score.

I love this game so much. It’s fun for when you are bored or maybe the WiFi is down and you have nothing to play! I definitely recommend this game for everybody. So to the topic I was going to talk about. You know how you can level up characters to level 100 and also upgrade their abilities? (Jump,Strength,Swing, etc.), you could make it so you can hold the + button and it can upgrade. I only say this because it just hurts your hands by pressing the button over and over again. That’s just an idea though 😀. Keep up the good work and see you guys in the next update!

Hey creators of head basketball. I have a question. Why are there so many ripoffs of head basketball!!!!!!
I mean like there is so many ripoffs! There’s one that’s head ball 2 and I knew already what it was ripping off. But that’s the best one! I say this because it has 123k or more ratings than the game it is ripping off. But I bet your wondering. Why did I make this a 5 star rating? Well because I thought this game would not get to high on money and success. But wow! It got a lot of money. And you see a lot of my games I play don’t have ripoffs. But this one has the second most because roblox has a ton! I’m just saying. I’m happy this game was a success. And that’s the end of this rating because my fingers hurt.

Hey, I’ve been playing this game for a while, I’ve played it for about 4 years, and I just would like to mention that I’m so sad about a certain bug. This bug is prevalent in certain characters, but I get it the most while I play against/as Yazid. His special throws the blue orb, and when it hits my character, the game crashes and it causes me to lose when I go back to my saved game on league or head cup. I know it’s a lot, but could you please please please fix this? It happens with other people too, and it ruins the game for me, it’s a lot, but could you test which characters do this? Thanks! I love your game!!!

This game is really, REALLY addictive, I play it everyday,game mechanics are awesome, and the graphics are out of this world. But a few bugs exist. My favorite character is Vukasin, and I play with him all the time. But his ability is easily countered by AIs. And when I go to arcade and go against Vukasin, his powershot is almost unstoppable. And also, when Vukasin does his dunk powershot, sometimes the ball would bounce off the hoop and somehow make its way into MINE. Please fix Vukasin’s powershot. And also, the accessories (hats, shoes, etc.) are too pricey. I had to grind for 2 hours to get Vukasins robe (which is priced at 80k) But other than that, this game is absolutely perfect. Passes time easily. Would give a 5 star if you guys fix Vukasin. Good job.

This game has always been at the top of my list for offline games. Whether it’s something as competitive as the leagues or as grueling as survival or even as casual as arcade there’s always something to do in the game. This game is like a diamond hidden in the rust as the game is infinitely better than most of not all mobile games being released today, if the game advertised itself I have no doubt that it would blow up. The game is completely F2P as there’s no need to spend money in the game unless you want to progress faster or straight up buy a character. This game is definitely at the top of my list for offline games and I would recommend this game to anyone.

I love the game, it’s really good and I almost have all 24 characters (Just need Tepano and No I did not buy the characters) but you should definitely make toys. Like maybe a stadium background with 2 pegs for 2 Of the characters. Maybe people have to buy the characters separately with their clothes (and they must have their clothes with them!) put 2 nets and make it so you can position them jumping, moving, and move their arm to make it look like they’re swinging. If you do do this Idea, can I like maybe get a free one... and if you don’t can I have permission to at least make one. Just think of da money you can get with all the characters and set. And great game btw! I LOVE IT. Now I can get coins faster with league too so thank you!

This game is probably one of my favorite games of all time, hands down! Whether it is to put money in the game to upgrade the characters or to buy cosmetics, Head Basketball has a lot of customization options and select players. However, one thing I notice is that I have the iPhone XS Max and the screen size is considerable big. When it comes to playing this game, it does not fit the screen so I’m entitled to play the game on a rectangular aspect in the middle of my screen in landscape mode. This bugs me because all this time when I have had the iPhone X and the iPhone XS Max I’m stuck playing it in that view. This game is in dire need of support because that is the one thing that prevents me from playing this game moving forward. Aside from that, this game is worth getting!

Hey D&D i absolutely love head soccer and head basketball however i feel like one of the characters in the game kind of falls flat compared to the others. Specifically Jeremy from the USA. I understand having the characters that are easier to unlock be more simplistic but I feel like you guys could’ve done a ton more with his concept. His campaign story was that he got hit by an asteroid and that gave him better speed, better jumps etc. What if you cranked that concept to 11 and made Jeremy a Harlem Globetrotter-esque character. Have his ability shot be him breaking his opponent’s ankles with fancy movement then hitting a fade away. Have his dunk be an alley-oop to himself. (I like his counter you can keep that the same) For the next update please take my ideas into consideration as I adore this game and would like to see some live given to my favorite character

Although Head Basketball has been an enjoyable game every time I’ve played it, there is one thing I would like to see in the game. A selection to add playoffs to the league game mode was something I have wanted but never was able to do. This is because it isn’t in the game. The top 4 teams in the league battling it out after the 18 game season would be fun especially after only losing one game in the season but still losing the league. I would like to ask for this to be added to Head Basketball.
