It hurts me to write this review because I love Catholic Answers, but CatholicAnswers might be the most frustrating and annoying app I have ever used.

Downloaded episodes are impossible to erase - they linger in the “downloaded” section even after swiping to erase. The swiping-to-erase function is also horrible as it needs to be a perfect line. A slightly-diagonal swipe across the screen will not delete the download.

It did not used to be like this. It’s been over 4 months since this update was released and over 2 months since I brought it to their attention.

There’s still a lot wrong with CatholicAnswers. The filter settings aren't retained - I have to set them each time.

Search doesn't work well. I'd like to search only in a particular podcast but instead get thousands of matches from the whole site. Not usable.

The same large ad with a plea to donate appears over and over. To get to older broadcasts I have to literally scroll 30 times on my phone.

Overall CatholicAnswers is decent and the content is obviously good; however it is missing an app in Apple car play which makes it difficult to use while in the car. Until this upgrade is made, I will be using the Apple podcast app to listen in while I’m driving

CatholicAnswers generally works well. The other day it showed no new shows for the past 10 days and no upcoming shows. I searched the web to see if the show had been cancelled and found new episodes. So I deleted CatholicAnswers and reinstalled. This caused it to start downloading new shows again. Also, sometimes the past episodes don't start. It is irritating to have to keep trying again and again and again. I think it may be timing out because my internet is slow? I love the fact that you can move slightly forward and back in case you miss something. I think it is 15 seconds?

I think I use Catholic Answers more often than I use Google! I always have some question or some obtuse passage or some sort of apologetic issue I need answered. And you guys are IT! Love the show too with a shout out to Cy cuz he’s so awesome!!

As a bunch of people have already attested to, Catholic Answers is informative and entertaining and has helped fill my life, those areas where I was lacking. I’m so glad someone told me about your program about 10 years ago if I’m remembering correctly.

CatholicAnswers helped me to believe in Jesus. I went from having no religion to attending mass often. I now enjoy going to Catholic Church on Sunday and daily worship during the week. I look forward to getting my sacraments and being baptized for the first time.

Catholic Answers played an essential role in my conversion from Evangelicalism to Catholicism.
It introduced me to the countless authors, theologians, and saints who walked me out of the complexus of denominations into the single beacon of Truth: the Holy Church. My family and I will always be indebted to Catholic Answers for its faithfulness in defending the faith.

Can't skip forward when listening to episodes and not nearly as functional as the podcast app on my iPhone.

Update! The bugs are fixed and CatholicAnswers has now incorporated an easy-to-use skip feature. 5 Stars!!

CatholicAnswers has allowed me to grow tremendously in my Catholic faith. I've been a Catholic from day one, but was never really taught the faith. Catholic answers has been and continues to be my teacher. I listen to CatholicAnswers as I run, or while in my car or making dinner. I can't think of a better tool to come to know the Lord and the church he began.

Love the CA show and CatholicAnswers is nice especially at indexing the questions and allowing to search specifically by questions that have been asked. Only two gripes are that when i go to CA Live section and sorted by newest, it brought several of the shows from april to the top and i had to scroll for a while to get to the november one from today, not sure why that happened. Other thing is that unfortunately when you use the 2x speed function, the audio quality deteriorates and becomes robotic sounding. i believe that is an issue on the way Apple handles audio and not CatholicAnswers 's fault, but it is unfortunate.

That’s a phrase my husband uses about everything that he is enthusiastic about and truly believes in. I have been listening to Catholic Answers for a decade and I credit this program in large part for my formation as a knowledgeable devout Catholic in love with our lord Jesus and our Catholic faith.

I love CatholicAnswers! I listen to a show every night with it and often other times and it has never failed me. The Catholic Answers show are organized well and go back to 2008. You can filter your selections and download shows for listening away from WIFI.

Support was quick and helpful when I had a question about filtering. This was especially appreciated.

I’ve listened to Catholic Answers for many years. I have used this since it came out and it has never disappointed me. It has been a blessing.

I love the website, but unfortunately CatholicAnswers won’t even open! I tried restarting my phone, reinstalling etc and still nothing. I’ll keep it around for the next update and hope that whatever the issue is will be resolved.

I used to use the website on my phone, but it didn’t always work on long drives because of bad service. But thankfully I can download them for later use in CatholicAnswers ! I like how simple it is to search any topic and find any show or video that has discussed it, not just one person. Thank you for this! Wish I’d had it sooner!

Great app for listening to the podcasts but I would really appreciate it if you guys added a feature to view articles like on your website, especially because the website never works on my phone for some reason. If that was added CatholicAnswers would be perfect but other than that it is good for what it is.

I was raised catholic and never understood my faith. As an adult I felt a calling to know God more and I read a catholic answers magazine and was amazed how the Faith was explained. I have taken such an interest I began assisting our catechism at our parish and sharing the Faith with my family.I began to experience God’s Love in the Mass making my routinely confessions and encouraging our brothers and sisters to practice the Faith as catholic answers has helped me.

I’m so thankful for Catholic answers. I was a Protestant most of my life and Catholic answers has been such a huge part of my journey into the Catholic Church. I continue to listen because I feel like I’ve missed out on so many years of these beautiful, abiding truths and I have so much more to learn. I don’t think my conversion would have been possible without Catholic Answers and the guys that are on the show. I can’t express how thankful I am for this wonderful resource that has led me to a place where I can receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ on every Lords Day! Such a wonderful ministry and surely a blessing to so many people that now worship Christ in the way He intended in the one true Church that Christ started. Thank you so much!

CatholicAnswers is very powerful and resourceful for all Christians who want to know the truth’s of Christianity. Not only does the strengthen the faith of Catholic’s but it also invites those Christians of other denominations to seek the real truth and meaning of being a follower of Christ and member of his church.
