A really fun game until you encounter all of the pop up ads along with the many micro transactions that are required to advance in the game. The game requires you to reach certain levels before certain countries become available. You then have to purchase visas via in-game currency to access to the country, but you can’t access that country anytime you want. You have to have tickets to access them, with which the game is extremely stingy. So, if you want to play those countries regularly, you have to buy the tickets individually. The only tickets I get regularly are for a country I have yet to buy a visa for, but I rarely get tickets for the four countries for which I have purchased visas.

As usual, it’s another good game ruined by the developer’s greed. The push for micro transactions would make more sense if they weren’t also pushing ads all the time. Pick a monetization scheme and stick with it.

I played this game for about 2 weeks. Twice the game tried to charge me for in app purchases that I did not authorize. Also, watch out for apple accessing and changing credit card information in settings.

Unrelated to Apple, June 12 I had my credit card cancelled and replaced with a new number. I did not put the new number in settings. July 2 Apple somehow got a hold of my new credit card number and put it in settings. Then allowed this game to charge my account.
DONT USE WALLET or any other Apple product that uses your credit card. If you have to, put the minimum amount of $ you need on iTunes.
Since then, Apple has put their Apple credit card in purchasing settings in an attempt to charge me and give me no recourse for disputing unauthorized charges.

This game would have 5 stars if the developers were active. I sent an email over a month ago regarding HiddenObjectsMysterySociety not working when attempting to connect with Facebook. Also the ads are extremely annoying. When I have everything on silent, including app settings, iPad on silent as well as do not disturb on all due to a sleeping baby, when the ad videos come on THEY HAVE LOUD SOUND! Ridiculous and shouldn't happen. Also on all Final Fantasy ads you are unable to click the X to exit after watching the ad and must quit HiddenObjectsMysterySociety completely and reopen. This is all ridiculous and isn't a difficult fix. DEVELOPERS, pay attention to the reviews! I guarantee you I'll never pay on the in-app purchases if your app doesn't run perfectly and smoothly. Once you have all bugs fixed I'd consider in-app purchases.

I enjoy the graphics of the game. It’s rather confusing though with all the different options they show on the left, many appear before you are, qualified to use. Main draw back is the energy is VERY SLOW to revitalize and half the time of you choose to watch a video to gain energy etc. the video doesn’t play…just a black screen and even if you wait several minutes hoping you can get credit ( like the video is running but maybe you just can’t see it), NOTHING.. I have to force quit the screen to u lock and get out. If it’s to extend a play, then you just lose that board and all you accomplished. Needs serious work by admin….

This game is great, but I wish you could play longer for free. The energy depletes so fast. Mainly, I have 2 big complaints:
1. When you are unable to complete a search in time and a video pops up, after it ends the screen no longer lets you continue and only zooms in and out. You cannot move around to find the object and, if you are able to see the object, you cannot select it and have to end the search. Therefore, you lose out on energy and rewards.
2. When you attempt to watch a video for free to gain energy or coins, after the video finishes it does not give you a reward, but it counts against your 10 for the day.

This is a fun game but if one isn't good at finding the objects in time they can't get very far as their energy runs out and sometimes it's difficult to get more energy if certain parts of the game freeze up or don't work properly. For instance, if you want to watch an add when the games says you can but the add won't play you miss out on points. I also think it's hard to get more gems when you are low on them as you need gems for many things. Make it easier to get gems and extra points and it will be a much more fun game. I for one can't afford to buy them which is why I can only play free games!

On original app I didn’t receive gems that I purchased and kept getting kicked off. I was advised to reload HiddenObjectsMysterySociety to refresh it and I would probably see the gems I purchased. By refreshing HiddenObjectsMysterySociety I lost everything. My entire identity for the game was gone and I’ve had to completely start over. You don’t get a new detective id until about level five or six and I was told they would add my status from the previous detective id but not my coins or gems. They will however add the gems I purchased. This is even though I sent them a screenshot of HiddenObjectsMysterySociety right before I refreshed it because I sent a request for the gems with it. However, that was 3 days ago and no one has updated my new profile.. So, needless to say I’m very disappointed with this game. 😞

If you run out of time on a search they say you can watch a video to get a bit more time. But every time that’s happened, when the video ends the search scene screen is wonky and frozen and I fail anyway. At this point I never watch the videos because of this, so their advertising model is broken there.

Everything else seems to work as intended, but the economy is intentionally broken in favor of the House. No surprise, it’s a commercial venture, but it does feel like they’re always trying to nickel and dime you. Most frustrating is having to buy an entry visa (not cheap) and then only having a few tickets to that location. You can buy tickets at a gem each, but that’s steep.

In the year or so that I have played this game, I’ve experienced at least 4 episodes in which the game freezes and won’t load. It seems to mysteriously occur during the last few days when specific holiday themed mysteries are about to expire. I’ve wondered if this is a way to get people to purchase tickets for entry and then get stuck with them as the game was not accessible during the last few days to reach all three goals. While I do love this game, the developers need to step up and create a more stable environment. Half of the unsolicited ads for more time simply crash my computer. Too many people will say to hell with the aggravation and simply walk away.

Why is it that when I do the daily bonus and run out of time, you can watch a video to get extra time to do it but when the video is done and go back to the bonus it won’t let you click on the found items. You have to exit the scene and lose the extra time. Very frustrating. Also when visiting friends, when you click on one fried, it takes you all the way back to the beginning of friends list. I’m contemplating just deleting the entire game.

I do enjoy the puzzles. Constantly runs out of energy so you can’t play long. What I really am tired of is it is the same exact puzzles over and over. Supposedly you find items that then let you go to other puzzles. I have yet to see those items. It is starting to get very boring doing the same puzzles. I probably will delete the game.

Everything typically works well except if you run out of time at which point it has you watch a video. The issue is when you watch the video and you come back into the game you can’t do anything because the game screen is frozen. The only thing you can do is fail the level. Kind of frustrating. Playing on latest IOS update of iPad.

I've been playing this game for months now. I have continued to level up, spent my fair share of money on gems and euros, despite the freezing frames and disappearing purchases. Some of the issues seem to have been fixed. But new ones are creeping in. I just reached level 60 and claimed my reward, left the game, and came back to find myself at level 57!! I also find my gems disappearing faster than I have used them. You programmers and developers should be able to develop a glitch free game if you expect people to continue to play. Then today, I just downloaded the newest update to the game, and Lo and behold, when I try to open th game, I hear the music, see the screen where you can watch the game loading, and then ...nothing!! The opening screen is frozen there, and I can’t get into the game at all. This is the worst update ever.

First off I do enjoy the game but I haven’t caught on to everything yet. But I have noticed when I am looking for objects in a particular location the game people do you lay putting the objects in the room you can look at a certain spot numerous of times and it’s not there then after five or 10 minutes it’s suddenly appears I don’t know if this is a bug or if they do this on purpose but it’s very frustrating that’s why I didn’t give it a five star only gave it a four star

Please fix a way to continue on working my way across my neighbors' icons w/o it always going back to the first one....every time. Also, can you put the neighbors' icon ON their office so I know which office it is I am on? I cannot keep track who I last visited b/c of that wonky shift back to the start echo time. Otherwise, I love the game.

Also, the timer is too quick. I want to search, but cannot think when time pressure is on. Can you make a slower version for some of us who just want to play to ENJOY it instead of beating the clock?

I love the game, still learning. There are some corrections that need to be made. Every time I get the flash light to collect the proper items, the game just freezes and locks up and I can’t finish playing the game. I have to get out of the game. When asked to watch a video to earn time or to finish the game or get more time 35 . Some times there is no video or it sends me back to the game without earning.

I've been playing for quite a while and I can see from the other reviews that the issues I have had are not errors on my part. The game is glitchy and unpredictable. Gems disappear, the screen freezes, and rewards for watching sponsor videos don't give you the "reward" you are supposed to get. I would love to see the programmers fix these issues. The gets frustrating!!

I’ve been playing for years but there are a few things I don’t understand and there are no explanations. Fir example, what are strength points and why do I want them? How do I get more friends? After receiving gifts from friends it always says send them a thank you. Yet I send a lot of gifts and have never received a thank you? What is this about? We need a question and answer forum!

Really like this game. Played the other game Mystery Society II until I got to the end. That was fun too.
I have bought gems and coins many times. A couple of times coins and gems didn’t show up on game. Wrote to support team and they were very helpful. Always got the gems and coins put back in my game. The problem was on my end with apple showing my purchase was pending. Don’t know why apple did that but once pending went away I copied and sent to support team and coins and gems were added back to my game.

I am new to video games like this (being in my 60’s!), but I am having so much fun with it. It challenges me and helps me keep my brain sharper. There is a variety of things you can do, so you don’t get bored. And it’s fun to furnish your own office by earning rewards. What’s even better is that you are not overwhelmed with an exorbitant amount of advertisements as in so many of these other games.
