I liked KarlWeather many years ago the layout was so much better. It might’ve been a different person who designed KarlWeather . This one I don’t mind paying for a bit when I try to flip it to get the bay area temps, KarlWeather crashes/quits every single time. ¡No Bueno!

Going around SF, this is a pretty helpful app because of all the micro-climates. It tells temperature and weather (cloudy, rainy, etc) of the districts in SF and around the Bay Area.

KarlWeather crashes occasionally on my iPhone 6, especially when I use the slider to change the time. Also, there are competitor apps that give smoother graphics and look cleaner.

But for compact information, this one is the best I’ve found so far.

This is a very slick-looking app and a great idea for the bay area’s microclimates, but it’s unfortunately no longer useful for many parts of SF. I guess KarlWeather recently lost access to the Weather Underground data, and the new data set constantly lowballs temps in places like SoMa, where I live.

Right now, for instance, Karl says it’s 61 in my neighborhood, but my outdoor thermometer in the shade says it’s 81, which is definitely what it feels like outside and also what the Weather Underground station says.

Sorry, Karl :( Great idea but useless for me now.

KarlWeather is way better than iPhone weather and I love the graphics hour by hour. Seems to be fairly accurate whenever I’m traveling around San Francisco, I recommend!

A brilliant, clever snapshot of the San Francisco/Bay Area weather. Choose between Weather Underground (my personal favorite for accurate predictions) and Dark Sky data.

This is a must-have app for anyone interested in local weather.

Love the map view by SF neighborhood and also enjoy the details page of what to wear.

KarlWeather is great, but something needs to be fixed to stop my iPhone heating up rapidly every time I launch KarlWeather . Within 60 seconds of launching Karl, I can barely hold my phone, it’s so hot! Please fix as I’d hate to avoid visiting sunny areas due to my hands melting off.

This use to be an incredible app. No more. In the last couple of months I’ve watched their readings get worse and worse to the point that now it’s anywhere from 5°-10° off, always.
The company use to respond to emails. That customer support went the way of KarlWeather ’s temperature accuracy.
Always interesting to watch a good thing go down the toilet. Deleted

KarlWeather is so well made sometimes I just go on it when I’m bored 🥵

Would love to see a widget with top 2 neighborhoods/microclimates at a glance! Not necessary at all, but would also love if each neighborhood in SF/outer Bay Area had its own “flair” when selected (i.e. famous landmarks, buildings, etc).

Coming out with the air quality index update during the fires was a life-saver! Awesome idea and awesome execution!

Really beautiful little application for getting the weather in San Francisco. Especially love the little animated lighthouse.

Not accurate information, at least for the Sunset district. I ve been using it for 6 months straight, but unfortunately the weather predictions are most of the times off for my neighborhood.

It always shows a sun icon but most of the time it’s foggy where I’m in the city even tho the sun icon is displayed.

As beautiful as KarlWeather is, I was sorely disappointed when I realized I'd paid for a weather app that doesn't have a widget. SMH.

The most accurate app for AQI and temps in the Bay. Fun UI.
