Forest River RV Owner's Guide Reviews

We own an R-Pod and when you select “R-Pod” from the Recreational Vehicles section you get an error message: “Something went wrong. Retry”. If you select one of the bottom buttons ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide crashes.

Doesn’t actually give you model or option specific information. Says things like “the dealer will show you where your house batteries are located,” but they didn’t, so, great. Also you can’t download anything to pdf from it for later viewing, can only view it when connected to internet. That was super helpful when I was at a campsite with no service and was trying to troubleshoot an issue.

Do not rely on ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide. You will want to ensure you save all of your manuals from your RV and keep them safe and accessible. Any other manual you might need can be researched and downloaded by the component manufacturer. The PDF manuals in ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide have nothing to do with what’s actually installed in your RV. You can tell that very little attention to detail is given to the development and update of ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide.

I recently tried to open ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide to get some dimensions for my Vibe travel trailer. When I touched the proper link to open up the owners manual, it opened to absolutely NOTHING and told me to “try again” which I did and still got nothing.
If you can’t get to what you need on ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide why does it even exist??

Agree with all these other reviews. No other instructions on set up, which for a park model is a HUGE pain since nothing is where you’d expect from working with an RV. It’s been frustrating and very disappointing for the money you spend.

Manual is much too general. Took my new 344FL to upstate NY in April. Much colder than we expected so we activated the heating system. Barely kept us at 64 degrees while it was in the high 30’s outside. Figuring I was doing something wrong so we turned to ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide to assist. Nothing useful there. Bad experience.

I now understand why it has a 1.8 out of 5 stars. However, I downloaded it anyway, on recommendation from one of the Forest River Vengeance customer service contacts (from their website). My RV came provided with manuals from the manufacturers of all the various components and appliances which comprise my 2018 Vengeance. EXCEPT...there’s no plumbing diagram (which would be so helpful), no coax/antenna diagram, no electrical diagram. When I contacted the customer service people they said “We don’t have any diagrams.” Really? how do they manufacture these RVs without some sort of schematics? A few simple one-line diagrams would make things so much easier. Meanwhile, ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide is useless, and provides no information that was not contained in the original paperwork I received with the RV. There is a small amount of convenience, but if they really wanted to be of help, why didn’t they link the various manuals (in .pdf form) through ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide .

I thought the Coachmen app was bad. This thing is completely bogus unless your 18 years old and never even stepped foot in one of these things. Anybody who ever own an RV knows they’re a maintenance nightmare which is all the more reason for a comprehensive manual, on line or otherwise.

ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide ranks near the bottom of useless information. You would think that with such a Brand aware company, they should never have allowed this to see the light of day. Already deleted.

There must have been a merger. Looks like they are starting to make cheaply RVs now. They don’t even know how to design an app, lol. You can’t even find your model like you could before on the Palomino app.

App is great if you only need ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide . However I would like a PDF version for printing capability and it is not available. Recommend. Updating capability of downloadable pdf.

PDF are not readable displaying garbage characters when trying to open the files....

Topics points are too broad. I downloaded my make and model and the information provided isn’t consistent with my rig “at all”.

ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide does not tell you anything about your camper it is a generic manual that cover options your camper does not have.

When I scroll down in the component list the table of contents crashes. Useless!

Everything included for model year 2021. Mine is a 2017 and virtually none of the info is applicable.

ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide is a joke. No model specs. Just general and generic info. Spend a lot of money and can’t even get an owners manual.

It only show general info. Nothing specific to my rv or location which is a hat is needed.

I really don’t understand why ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide gets so many negative reviews. I work as a salesman in the RV industry and you really can’t do what people are asking. It is impossible to describe every model and every feature in every specific make by forest river. The manual would be so big and ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide would be several gigs. Your dealership should be the one to show you and describe how to do everything on your particular RV. If they didn’t then why choose that dealership? Stop blaming the manufacturer for something they cannot do. ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide has no bugs and works flawlessly. The how to videos are also a great touch.

The 6th grade mas media class could have writtten a better app! Nothing technical about it. I have had nothing thing but problems it’s the this forget river wildood ultralight that I bought last may. ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide coincideswith the poor quality of his brand. Give me tech data. How about a look plan appliance lay outs ,wiring and pluming diagrams etc. where the hell is the info about being “solar ready”? Come on get with the program . We RVers like to tinkerwith our rigs w without the help of over priced service depts! I am freeing in a snow torm in Tucson and cant figure out why my furnac wont light! I’m trading this piece crap in on an airstreams rhis spring.

Just picked up a Wildwood X-Lite. The trailer drove nicely off the lot, but this manual is the worst manual I’ve ever seen. It’s even worse than assembly directions written in Chinese. At least those contain some diagrams to guide users.

Although the Wildwood app promises helpful tutorials, there is nothing for the X-Lite — not even a basic diagram. How is anyone supposed to locate various parts, let alone fix them? How can we safely handle the electrical, propane or water systems?

ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide basically consists of generic warnings, but doesn’t show users WHERE the dangers are. This oversight borders on negligence.

It took awhile to see the link for the videos and Manufacturer manuals (PDF), but they’re all there and detailed. Just brought the RV Home, so I haven’t tried to program the auto leveling system yet, but it looks like the manual will help.

No way to save the PDF to iBooks or print it, so only gave 4 stars.

This was not helpful at all. An owners manual helps you troubleshoot issues. Look up answers that you may have questions on certain topics such as how to work certain appliances. However this doesn’t help at all. All it does is give warnings of what to do in case of such and such. Not once did i find any information i was in need of. I need help in understanding the electrical vs the gas systems. Ugh. Waste of time.

No videos or other info. I got the manual online,where can you find the equipment user manuals for all the extras. I bought my 5th wheel used,none of the other manuals were in the trailer. It's a 2015 model and I guess either the original owner or the dealer I bought it from misplaced them. By the description of ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide I was hoping it would have what I need.

App looks great, but useless for anyone with a 2019 model. Just locked in the purchase of a 2019 Forest River Salem 37BHSS2Q, only to find out I can’t get the owner’s manual from ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide or the manufacturer’s website. The manuals should be available as soon as the model is sold, as that’s when it’s most needed. Very disappointed, but will keep checking back. Hopefully the developer is listening and will add the 2019 models very soon.

There is zero specific helpful information in here. It’s all very general. Anyone who found it helpful probably has never used an RV and is reading it as philosophy or theory and not as reference or how-to. It’s a great idea, I’d love to have all the owners manual stuff (mostly third party OEM) on my device instead of carting around two 3 ring binders, but this isn’t it.

This is not an owners manual, an owners manual normally has a lot more information. The information here is generalized advice that can be found anywhere on the internet. with nonexistent or not easy to find specifics. I would like a heck of a lot more information. Such as circuitry info, parts #s, tire pressure. If the folks at Forest River read the reviews please send me a printed owners manual for gray wolf mk23.

I have to agree with the negative reviews... it would be helpful to have the current new models on ForestRiverRVOwnersGuide , and there are no specifics for different models. It wouldn’t be too hard to scan copies of different models. I did give two stars bc there is some info.

Interesting that now the reviews are being removed when critical of the site administration. They don’t want people knowing how they are censoring their site. Let’s see if this now gets deleted like my earlier post. Just shows you this is not a site I would recommend to my worst enemy.

The information provided is so highly generalized that is is of no value. The manuals are not brand specific like a car's. The only differentiation is between a motor home and a trailer. There's nothing here that can't be found much faster by an internet search.

The videos are not specific to our RV type (trailer) and have no sound to explain what they’re doing for the winterization/dewinterization process. Very confusing for first timers. Nothing more than what is in our paper manual.
