We use (more like attempt to use) WestVirginiaMountaineers for every football and basketball game to listen to Tony. It is beyond inconsistent and NEVER works correctly. It always crashes, stops working and freezes, or glitches. We have even tried uninstalling and different devices. It is such a shame bc if it would just work correctly it’d be such a great app!

In the middle of the WVU TCU pregame, the buttons I always used to start the audio broadcast began to cause WestVirginiaMountaineers to crash. The only way I can get the broadcast to work is to go to the audio tab. And then, every time the screen dims, the stream goes away. It worked just fine previously. I have an iPhone 6s. I know someone else who has a 6s that has the same problem. My wife, who has an iPhone 7, has no problems at all. Does this mean I am going to have to upgrade my phone? Unfortunately, if these problems don’t get fixed, that is exactly what I am going to have to do.

I have used WestVirginiaMountaineers for over 2 years and have been happy with it however for the 2019 season the streaming audio is horrible. The sound streams for a few seconds then cuts out forcing you to reclick to again hear the audio then after another few seconds it happens again. It is a never ending cycle. Even for this diehard fan I cannot see myself using WestVirginiaMountaineers much until that is fixed.

I can only listen to the audio for about 5-8 minutes before it shuts off and I have to reopen WestVirginiaMountaineers . This didn’t happen before the last update.

I try to simulcast with tv and it crashes when you fast forward. Been going on for few years

This has been going on for at least a year where the Audio just won’t keep playing in the car when connected to Bluetooth or apple car play. Seems like that should be an easy fix considering every other streaming or music app I have has that capability

If you’re listening to the audio of the game. Don’t let your phone lock on you, you will have to restart WestVirginiaMountaineers to get the audio to come back again

Love WestVirginiaMountaineers and most of its functions. Audio now plays even when app is minimized, but the inability to view videos in full landscape is damning to the review as it is one of the main reasons people use WestVirginiaMountaineers (video).

WestVirginiaMountaineers used to work perfectly but it crashes about every 10 minutes on my iPhone

Viewing on iPad should support rotation to allow a larger screen view.

I so enjoy getting to stream the games. But if I barely touch my iPad, the video stops. And I have to choose “watch live” again to restart it.

Like it more if it doesn’t crash. Need to be a start and stop button at the bottom for when the game starts.

WestVirginiaMountaineers brings a piece of home closer. There is just something different about being from West Virginia!

WestVirginiaMountaineers used to work but now my iPhone 8 gets no sound when watching live video. Even uninstalled/reinstalled. Is there a background setting to control this?

I found that if I go in and launch an audio stream the audio controls appear, then I can navigate back to the live video event (they remain on the screen) and the sound works. Engineers, get the audio controls to to work during live events and this will be fixed please.

WestVirginiaMountaineers is very good if you’re a big baseball fan like me so now I don’t have to struggle finding the radio station or TV channel to watch the baseball game or football or basketball game You can change it to WestVirginiaMountaineers the only problem is I have with the set up if you’re watching the game live video it won’t let you tilt your phone to watch it in full screen but other than that great app I recommend it

Had too uninstall and install again app after most recent update too make work right again.

Great app. Live stat feature is great. I wish it had option to synchronize to TV broadcast automatically. Love listening to WVU wherever I am through WestVirginiaMountaineers #HailWV

WestVirginiaMountaineers is great! I live in FL and can at least listen to games if they are not on TV. I also love to listen to the audio while watching the games on TV - much better than listening to the TV announcers!

Use WestVirginiaMountaineers all the time and can’t say how helpful it has been to me in listening to my favorite teams. The only complaint I have is that WestVirginiaMountaineers has seemed to be crashing way more since the recent update in 01/24. I have an iPhone so I don’t know if it’s device based or what but hoping for a fix soon! Thank you to all involved in WestVirginiaMountaineers!
