This is the best app I have ever experienced in my entire life! My intelligence about space increased by at least 45%. I love SolarSystemScope so much, that I am going to keep it forever. Solar System Scope has taught me so many things about space in just one day! I love how realistic it is. Literally the stars, planets, and other things look so real! You guys did a good job, and I appreciate it. One thing I wish SolarSystemScope could do is: Visit Messieurs. I wish it could be able to go to the Messieurs so you can see them up close, and clearly. It would be so beautiful and cool to be able to see the Messieurs up close (Visit). If you could try updating it so you could be able to see other things like Messieurs, Comets, and Satellites, that would be great. Another last thing I wish SolarSystemScope could do is: Exploring other Galaxies! That would be so great, I would never delete SolarSystemScope in my life! If SolarSystemScope could visit other Galaxies, it would be so Awesome, everyone would have it. But other than those two things, SolarSystemScope is incredibly amazing!!! Great job you guys; you have changed my view about space, and the Galaxy.

I have used the website and now SolarSystemScope for years and I’ve learned a lot from it.

My biggest frustration is I have always wanted to zoom in on the part of earth facing the sun to see its position. You can sort of see it from behind the sun but always you’re left with wanting to zoom in to get a closer look. There are some zooming features but it always seems like a frustrating experience and it blocks you from getting it exactly where you want it.

Other than that, it’s been a really useful website/app over the years.

I was only looking for a map of the solar system and how it would look a few months in the future. Oh wow was I underestimating SolarSystemScope. It has tons of stars, moons, planets, detailed maps and guiding points, and more! Some things are a bit too much at times, but never fear! The video settings lets you toggle what things you want to see! It shows you the perspective from earth’s orbit, all the way to the whole Milky Way galaxy fitting on my screen! This is an amazing way to plan for things like viewing planet conjunctions, as well as just exploring the visible universe up close! My only suggestion is making it so that you can lock on to nebulas like you can other objects, as well as maybe making a free look mode where you can fly through the universe without having anything locked on to. Thanks so much for a great app!!

I guess this review is kind of a “twofer”.

Initially, I purchased SolarSystemScope for use on my 27” 5k Retina display iMac. I also found it in SolarSystemScope Store for iOS so I downloaded it for my iPad Pro. I’ll detail the various issues I’ve encountered below.

1) I mentioned my iMac because it is more than capable of running apps like this. Yet, my iMac has two problems with it:

A) SolarSystemScope freezes frequently. Even when removing objects such as the asteroids to reduce the load on the computer. B) Quitting SolarSystemScope brings about the rainbow wheel of death. At this point, the only solution becomes to “force quit” the application.

Today, after I downloaded SolarSystemScope the next issue quickly became evident. SolarSystemScope does function very well and smooth. (What parts of it are included in the download.) This is where I take issue.

Having to pay for an app that I have already paid for. I could not find any place where I could “login” to prove I had already bought SolarSystemScope and should be able to enjoy all of its functions accordingly. I can’t.

If I want to enjoy the full functionality of SolarSystemScope on my iOS device, I have to re-pay for an app I have already bought.

So, given the above reasons, I can only give SolarSystemScope one star. It’s only real saving grace is its beauty but unless and until these issues get resolved, it’s like putting lipstick on a pig.

The designer of the game asked me to write a response about zooming in and since my email is quite working here I am. Anyways, you should be able to zoom in on other planets but when you try to zoom in it’s just zooms in to the sun. If we could do that we could look a constellations better, view planets better and so much more. Even when you look at the galaxy the only place you can really zoom in is towards the sun. If we could zoom into the earth and see where it’s day and where it’s night without having to click view, it would save so much effort and experience. So uh thanks for reading, hope you take my ideas into thought.

So, i purchased the desktop version for Windows, i purchased the iPad Pro and iPhone iOS version, i purchased the 3d models of the solar system upgrade pack, and....nothing?
Your software doesn't work.
On iOS, it won't even open. As i said, it crashes on startup.
(and i even went to the trouble of completely erasing my brand new iPad Pro 12.9 and reinstalling all its programs and resetting all its settings as a new device because i want to use your software.)
I firts contacted your company about this months ago.
I'm sure you folks are good people making a fun product, and i would imagine you take your work seriously, but if you take money from someone then don't supply the product that was paid for, that's a scam.
It has been MONTHS ihave patiently waited for a resolution to this issue.
I don't have anything i paid for from your company, (excepting the desktop Windows version, which works just fine.)
And the one reply i got from you is just to say "thanx for the email"?
It's been so long now that the software i bought from your company crashes on startup that i'm now on a newer version of the operating system, that being 11.4.
I would expecteithera refund of my purchase price or some kind of resolution to the issues that prevent me from using the product i purchased from you.
I await your detailed reply with answers to my inquiry.

I've been studying astronomy for a few years now and just found this tool. it is amazingly useful and it the $3 in app purchase upgrade was totally worth it. I do wish that you could get information on stars. Furthermore, SolarSystemScope occasionally crashes; so that is something that should be fixed. The new app icon looks so much better; Thanks for taking my suggestion. [old- I also would like to see a redesign for SolarSystemScope icon.]
Anyway, i would usually give SolarSystemScope 4 stars but since i haven't seen an app that looks, feels, and functions as well as this one and because it looks like you need a few more 5 star reviews I would love to help out by providing one.

I wood like to see the galaxy and the back hole that we have in our galaxy and like when on planet I want to see like if you go thar to The Night sky model want to see the other planets with the same stuff will I saying I want to see the planet like mar if you go to thar and you do night sky mode you see like the earth map but I want to see the mars map plz fix that and I will like to see other galaxy plz plz do that thank you and have a nice day see you plz get to this and plz till me when are you going to update the game thx you. My 4 year son is really into anything dealing with the universe and space. So i actual got this for him. He may seem a little young but he knows quite a bit for his age about the planets and galaxy. I see about of great things from him and by getting this program will allow me to tap into what can become. Seeing his reaction when I first found SolarSystemScope and downloaded it was heart warming and he always on it trying to explore. But I applaud the creators of SolarSystemScope , you couldn’t of done better. Thank you

So I just downloaded this and so far there are no problems here. I really like how they put information on the planets and stars so. Also if you zoom out full you can see the milky way. I think if you want to upgrade your zoom for the screen its only 2 dollars but its fine without a upgrade. If you want to learn more about space I RECOMMEND this to you. 5 starts for good quality and making it realistic and giving information. :) Great

This is a great app and well worth the upgrade within. Definitely recommend this for iPad for kids and adults!

not sure how often updates happen but this seems to be missing comet C/2020 Neowise. Since this is visible this month, July, would be great to get that added!

I picked this up hoping for an interactive 3d map of the solar system, but it's so much more: fast forward time, rewind time, subtle range rings telling you have far things are away. Up-to-date content including new dwarf planets like Eris and Haumea! Re-center on any planet! Explore the moons of Saturn! A 3d interactive map or nearby stars! A 3d interactive map of the galaxy.

I'm extremely pleased with this product.

This freaking app is the best I love it and it’s sooooooo cool the only thing I feel like they should add is exoplanets that’s all I’m asking like it will crash on me every once and a while but it is 100% worth it 😏 and I just hope that they add exoplanets see I got SolarSystemScope before the Milky Way stars came to SolarSystemScope and now they just need to add exoplanets to those poor lonely stars and it would just be amazing if they did all that I’m asking is make it true

SolarSystemScope has many details, but could use some work. Examples: There are many comets and their orbits shown, and the comets look spectacular, but one I noticed was missing was the Hale-Bopp Comet that was clearly visible in the night sky in 1997. Even though this comet will not be visible in the night sky again for over 1000 years, it should be part of SolarSystemScope. Planetary and planet moon details are also limited and should be improved. Use Celestial as an example of how SolarSystemScope can be improved.

SolarSystemScope is flame, you can see anything anywhere and the math is accurate so you can check real time, I bought the expansion cause it’s awesome, like the other guy I would also ask for more ability to zoom and maybe have a free camera mode so I’m not locked on to anything when I want to just explore the vastness.

Ever since I downloaded SolarSystemScope it has been amazing. I love how there are so many settings in case you don’t like small things. The only problem I have is sometimes it crashes. It crashes most often when enabling the dragging planets thing. If it helps I’m using this on iPhone. Continue to make games like this! It’s cool and fun!!

I really love this game! But it kicks me out a lot! I didn’t like that. But I’m sure it’s still fun! You can see all the planets in the solar system! stars,fun facts, planets and more! even the dwarf planets! If you zoom out you will see the Milky Way Galaxy! Look at every planet and will give you fun facts! I can’t believe it’s soooooooooooooooooooooooo fun! But still the triggers, I don’t want them to be here anymore! they are so pesky! Anyway, It’s cool and you can play it! It’s a very fun game!

I have been having a hard time trying to find a space app that I would like, I have been scrolling and scrolling trying to find a app about space, I found SolarSystemScope at the Apple Store and IT WAS PHENOMENALLY AMAZING, I am keeping this for EVER, thank you so much for making SolarSystemScope I appreciate you, you have made my day amazing

Developers i have a question why did u trick me i thoght that we could look in the future but it was still the same so can u change that and make a prediction and show us what changed ok thank u bye!

Amazing graphics and I love how you can see in real time where all the planets are, how they line up and speed it up one day and forward time and watch everything that will happen in the future.

When I first bought SolarSystemScope , you could view the solar system with the orbits close together so you could see how they compare. Now you can only see the natural planet orbits and you have to zoom way out. And it’s hard to compare the planet orbits because the planet size is too small and scale is too large in natural orbit view. I’ll give SolarSystemScope 5 stars if you bring that function back where you can see the planet orbits close together.

I would like to make a report that SolarSystemScope crashes after it says “welcome to solar system scope” or whatever.. Please fix crashing issues, overall SolarSystemScope is good.
