This is a completely worthless, garbage app. You have to keep it on background mode, obviously, so that it will ring even if the phone is on silent. Fine! Except background mode crashes a MINIMUM of 10 times a day. LITERALLY. I’ve counted. That means even if you’ve reset it, it may crash again while you’re asleep, which means….tada! Your alarm won’t go off the next morning!

What’s super fun is that even when it’s working, it’s not, and the bugs aren’t even consistent. Sometimes even when it goes off, it goes off SILENTLY, so you won’t get to it until it’s too late. Or—and this is my favorite bug—even if you set it for, say, 6:40am, and even if, after it didn’t go off at that time, and EVEN IF you’ve reset background mode multiple times since then, throughout the day, it’ll do absolutely nothing all day. Then, out of absolutely nowhere, you’ll see it “ringing” (by which I mean going off on your locked home screen silently) at 12:20am. That’s right, 17.5 hours after it was supposed to go off! Gee, thanks. How useful.

Thanks for doing absolutely nothing! I’m just glad I didn’t pay for premium.

This alarm used to work great until recent updates. The first update resulted in constant notifications about an app property when in “background.” Downloaded another update last night, and the alarm kept repeating itself this morning even after correctly solving the math problems. I correctly solved the math problems on the first alarm, then MatheAlarmClock quit. A few seconds later, the first alarm went off again and I solved another set of problems. App quit again. Tried going into MatheAlarmClock and turning off the first alarm, but the first alarm went off yet again and I had to solve ANOTHER set of problems. Not willing to solve math problems on an infinite loop because of some bug with MatheAlarmClock , so had to delete MatheAlarmClock after years of use. Of note, I used the paid version. Not sure if you that makes a difference.

Been using MatheAlarmClock for two years and it’s been outstanding and reliable. Unfortunately with the previous two updates it has taken a turn for the worst. The first update caused MatheAlarmClock to push notifications every couple minutes about MatheAlarmClock running in the background, and while this was a minor inconvenience, the second update to fix the bug on the first completely ruined MatheAlarmClock . Now, when the alarm goes off at the set time, solving the equations to deactivate the alarm causes MatheAlarmClock to crash and restart, which causes the alarm to go off again, rinse and repeat. There is no way to stop this, not even with a hard reset. The only option I had was to delete MatheAlarmClock completely.

In short, MatheAlarmClock is completely non-functional, do not bother until they have it fixed.

At first this was a really good app. It had me do math problems to wake me up and gave me a schedule. Although the problem was that the alarm never made any sound all it would do was notify me on the first day it was ok because I woke up earlier than the time I was supposed to, but for the second day I woke up really late with this alarm. I had an appointment at 7am so I wanted to wake up at 5am considering I take a long time to get ready in the morning. The alarm had never woke me up even though I put background mode on and put the alarm sound up to the top. Thanks to my normal alarm I woke up at 6am. MatheAlarmClock also doesn’t remind you to do your things on the schedule but that is fine for me as I can remind myself. Overall MatheAlarmClock really didn’t help me at all and if it weren’t for a person saying I should download it I wouldn’t have and neither should anyone else.

It’s my first time using MatheAlarmClock and when I first downloaded it, it work the first time and it helped me SOOO much to get up early and go on about my day 💯. The second time I was planning to wake up around 8:45am on the weekends and I had also decided to change the ringtone that day as well. Today, I woke up around 11:00pm getting upset the fact that MatheAlarmClock didn’t woke me up on the time I wanted to get up (8:45am) but as soon as I opened MatheAlarmClock , the alarm wants to go off and it’s not the first time this had happened to me, this happenes to me numerous times. I’m a freshman in high school and throughout my years in middle school I struggle to wake up early in the mornings but now I’m in high school I would have to get up extra early to go to the bus. Of course I can’t ACTUALLY go to school but do virtual. Since my school schedule changed, I need to get up extra early and remind you, I struggle trying to get up early in mornings. So idk what I did please help me and thank you 🙏🏽

Usually a 4 to 5 star app, I’ve rated this at 3 stars because the volume will go down to half when this alarm goes off. I know it not my phone doing it because on my phones alarm it’s at full ring. Only when MatheAlarmClock alarm goes off does it change it to half volume. Even if I raise the volume after it goes off, it’s back to half the next alarm. I’ve paid twice for MatheAlarmClock, the first time on a different phone because it worked perfectly and loved it, so I got it again. Now I’ve been sleeping through alarms because it’s not loud enough to wake me. Luckily I set a ton of alarms, but I shouldn’t have to do that. Please fix the volume!!!

Been look for an app like this since I siwtch to apple in 2013 & first time seeing one in MatheAlarmClock store (guess I typed something different) The only reason for 3 stars is how often MatheAlarmClock crashes... I get crash notifications all throughout the day, and sometimes MatheAlarmClock crashes while I’m asleep & the alarm does not go off unless I open MatheAlarmClock :(. My notifications are on and the background mode is on. If yall could please work out the glitches with this, it would be awesome. This is a creative & very helpful idea, just needs to be more reliable bc I can’t rely on the apple alarm or even traditional clock alarms, I shut them off and go back to sleep.

A severe over sleeper who NEEDS MatheAlarmClock :’{

I don’t usually review apps but this one works well for me. Actually gets me up in the morning. Reduced my total alarms down from about 10 to four 30 minute math question alarms.

One suggestion I have for the developer is to introduce a dark mode when starting MatheAlarmClock at night. It’s hard to look at screen at night with white background. I understand the light mode in morning but not at night. Would totally purchase pro for that feature.

One bug that I would like looked into for next version is having the alarms canceled or expire if they haven’t gone off for an extended period of time. Whenever I force close MatheAlarmClock for phone slowness of the device (not MatheAlarmClock ) or the phone shuts down for dead battery. Then keep MatheAlarmClock closed for a day or so. The next time I open MatheAlarmClock all the alarms turn on in order with the ad running afterwards. (Probably should get the + version to get rid of ad problem). Sometimes the alarms play over the ads as well. Reason why I reported this was because it could be embarrassing having the alarms going off at full volume at 4 AM. Especially if you have a roommate or possibly a neighbor that probably doesn’t want to wake up with you at 4 AM.

I honestly loved MatheAlarmClock, it was the only alarm that would wake me up due to the fact that my brain had to think literally the first few seconds waking up, helping me to wake up completely and not snooze the alarm easily like my regular alarm. The only thing I’ve started to have is that I solve the equation correctly but it counts it as wrong, it was a super easy equation and I know for a fact it was correct but it still kept on coming off as wrong, it would happen three times in a row until It counts the problem after the third as correct. It’s been happening recently and it is annoying because it is really loud. Other than that, if the developer finds an issue with this and fixes it, it is an amazing app, especially for a math lover like me.

I used to set 8-10 alarms a night and still not wake up. With MatheAlarmClock, I just set one and wake up easily every time! I personally like math, so it’s a stimulating way to start my day, but I could see how people who don’t like math could get annoyed with MatheAlarmClock. After the last big fix, though, my alarm kept crashing when I tried turning it off. After correctly answering my last problem, MatheAlarmClock suddenly closed, with the alarm still playing. I opened it again and had to answer another 5 questions, and MatheAlarmClock crashed again. I eventually had to delete and redownload MatheAlarmClock to get it to stop. Please fix this bug!

MatheAlarmClock is great! But there are some turn offs. It sends a ton of notifications when you say notifications on. And I’m still in school and the notifications can get annoying. Another bug is that it does not wake me up all the time. Sometimes my alarm would not ring so I would sleep in until 7:50 or something when I need to wake up at 6:00. But out of all of this MatheAlarmClock is a good app but it has room for improvement.

My daughter just started to head to middle school and has earned the privilege of having a phone in her room when she sleeps so she is able to have an alarm on it. However, during the summer, we tried to get used to waking up earlier and using the regular “clock” app. We quickly learned that my daughter has a habit of hitting snooze... Mathe Alarm is so much better. It truly wakes you up and gets you mind up and running. The “don’t wake my spouse” button is amazing too, as she will temporarily sleeping in the same room as her younger sister. Working amazing already! Bedtime feature is AWESOME too!

I love MatheAlarmClock so much. I use to snooze my alarm like 5 times every morning and only have 10 minutes to get ready and almost be late. This alarm wakes me up the first time by making me solve math equations and it won’t go off until I solve them all and if I get one wrong I have to do another equation. And if you usually sleep through your alarm then there are quite a few really annoying loud alarm sounds that wake you up immediately. And it also tells you when to go to bed and it’ll keep bugging you until you do. If things can’t already get better you can make a morning routine checklist and it shows you your list of things to do as soon as you turn off your alarm. MatheAlarmClock has definitely solved all my problems of getting enough sleep and waking up on time. Whoever’s idea it was to make MatheAlarmClock you are so amazing and creative and thanks you for MatheAlarmClock. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I literally use my Siri, my actual alarm clock, and I set an alarm for 5:00-5:30 that goes off every minute, and it still doesn’t wake me up, and that is on top of a solid 8 hours of sleep. The weird thing is, is that I love waking up early, and having a cup of coffee, but I turn my alarms off in my sleep, like barely even remember me turning my alarms off today. I haven’t used MatheAlarmClock yet, but I think it will actually wake me up. Just going through and setting my alarms and seeing what MatheAlarmClock can do has me very hopeful. Whoever created MatheAlarmClock, deserves a Nobel Prize!

Alright, MatheAlarmClock... really frickin works. It is a RELENTLESS... RESTLESS... UNFORGIVING MACHINE. Let me tell you, I had it recommended to me from a friend who said they’ve been using it for over 8 years, so I was intrigued to try it out. THIS MATH BEAST DOES NOT HAVE THE TIME NOR THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF CARE FOR YOUR MORTAL IDIOCY.

I love that 1. there are three different intensity options— easy, medium and hard.

2. you choose how many math problems need to be solved correctly so that the alarm turns off

3. there’s a lock option that makes the alarm IMPOSSIBLE to turn off without doing math problems.

The 3rd point has been tried and tested true to the point where I had surrendered to the sleep demons and turned my phone off in hopes I had escaped the wrath of the math gods. Only to discover upon turning my phone back on that the alarm was indeed not finished with me and had come back with vengeance. I was forced to comply and completed the math problems to be able to go on with my day.

It was that day that I honestly earned RESPECT for an app. A free app too!

This is by far the best alarm clock app I have ever used. I can sleep through ANYTHING, even my other alarms going off -- I've slept through them for hours. This one, nope! I've been using it for two years and it wakes me up every time and on top of it it's not a simple snooze button I can hit, I have to figure out math equations and when I'm finally finished I'm alert and can't even fall back to sleep. Highly recommend it!!! MatheAlarmClock has not been reviewed enough!

** Also when first downloading MatheAlarmClock go into your settings and make sure you turn on notifications!! If you don't, no matter if you're phone is on high volume they won't ring!

I have a very bad tendency to turn off my alarms and just go back to sleep, but let me tell you, MatheAlarmClock prevents that. big time. I swear I’m in a fever dream every time I’m trying to figure these math problems out while half asleep. you need to get a certain amount of questions correct to turn the alarm off, so you won’t be able to sneak past it by clicking random answers. the alarms are LOUD and extremely harsh - which is exactly what I need to be woken up. I probably wouldn’t recommend MatheAlarmClock if you have anxiety just because it wakes me up in a complete panic, but the adrenaline rush wakes me up very quickly. overall, the only alarm app that actually works for me!

I am the worst at waking up in the morning. I'm also really bad at math. But it's a good thing because the second this alarm goes off I have to make sure I think to turn it off. So for about 5 minutes I'm doing math half asleep and by the time my alarm is turned off, I'm already alert! It's amazing. Once your mind starts working it's hard to shut off. And it gets better. If your good at math, they have different levels. I use 8 different equations to get me up in the morning!! It's amazing. The lock feature is also great. Once you lock MatheAlarmClock you have no choice but to wake up at that time and do the equations. The only way to shut it off is to literally delete MatheAlarmClock if you have it on its lock setting. Amazing

Shh! Over here! Yeah! Here! Wanna know a secret? My alarms always fail to wake me up. I would always snooze it, turn them off, or more, I have no self control in the mornings and I just want to sleep. This ends up with me being late to things, and I attend school so I’ve even missed the bus before. Then I got MatheAlarmClock. LIFE! CHANGING! It refuses to let me go back to sleep. It’ll just keep vibrating and making loud noises until I solve all of the questions. And if I get one wrong, it adds another one. Coming from me, you NEED to get MatheAlarmClock if those other alarms aren’t working. THIS WORKS! But if you have a bad temper watch out, this thing is REALLY annoying lol. You may be tempted to throw your phone at the wall. But it’s WORKS! Five stars.

MatheAlarmClock is everything it advertises. You absolutely will wake up. All of it’s ring tones are ridiculously annoying, but it makes you awake. The alarm absolutely will not stop until you do the math problems. I have a tendency to just hit snooze and fall back asleep, but MatheAlarmClock eliminates that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I am incapable of doing math first thing in the morning, so it takes me multiple tries to do each problem, which makes me wake up even more. The only downside to MatheAlarmClock is potential to wake up those around you; however, they added a button you can press while you are doing the math problems to stop the alarm for ten seconds. You can press it over and over again until you have finished the problems and can shut the alarm off.

After several recommendations I downloaded the Mathe alarm. I hate it, and I never even got to use it. I just deleted it. This is the second time in a row that it simply did not go off. It was turned on, my phone was not on silent, it was on full volume. I woke up to my backup alarm which was set two minutes behind the Mathe one to find my phone, each second, silently passing the phrase "Touch to stop," "Touch to stop," "Touch to stop." The alarm finally went off when I opened MatheAlarmClock itself, and I easily shut off the alarm by closing MatheAlarmClock .

Granted, all of these issues could be chalked up to "user errors," but an app as simple as an alarm clock shouldn't require much thought to use. MatheAlarmClock needs a lot of tweaking.

MatheAlarmClock is incredibly useful and, more importantly, reliable. As one who loathes initially waking up in the morning, I can say that MatheAlarmClock has saved me so many times already. I highly recommend it.

The only shortcoming I have noticed is more an iOS fault than anything. MatheAlarmClock doesn't ring through Do Not Disturb mode, and I haven't found a way to make an app as an exception. I just have to leave my iPhone in Normal and hope nobody calls. While I can't reasonably fault MatheAlarmClock for that, it would be nice if there were a way to fix it.

MatheAlarmClock works very well in waking me up. It is the best app that has made evaluating math expressions to wake up a reality. In the process of making an alarm, it does tell you when you have to turn on notifications so that the alarm can make a sound; however, it doesn't tell the user whether his phone is on silent or not, though some other alarm apps do. The selection of sounds is good and contains a few very loud ones. Overall I love it. Never again do I have to use 3 devices with alarms each and every minute!!!

MatheAlarmClock works Great it gets me up and ready for the day but lately I’ve been waking up late and MatheAlarmClock gone from existence... so since I can’t remember deleting it or snoozing it at all I set up a camera to see what I do in the morning instead of getting up...😂 and I was surprised to see as I was solving the math problems on the easiest setting I kept falling and it added up to almost 10 so in my frustration I deleted MatheAlarmClock and went back to bed...... Guess I need to study basic math again 😂

I've been using MatheAlarmClock for over 1 and a half years now and I love it. Having to solve math problems in the morning really helps me get up in the morning and not fall back to sleep. I love being able to set specific sounds to specific alarms and being able to give each alarm their own unique titles - very good for organizing. I have never once been unsatisfied with this alarm.

Fun fact: the alarms automatically adjust themselves if you switch time zones.

App keeps crashing, and shutting down background functionality. I have the paid version, and it’s pretty annoying
