My most consistently used app!

If you’re a busy working professional who has trouble remembering to track periods like me, then this is PeriodTracker for you! I love that everything period related is all in one spot. It’s easy to use and there’s no complicated maintenance necessary! Just go in. Tap “start period”, “end period”, then forget about it until your next cycle! It will automatically calculate logistics for you (days between cycles, days since last cycle, average length of cycles, fertility, etc) as you go. All the data is easy to pull up whenever you need (like at the doctor’s office when they ask about your last period). Even if you’re not consistent and forget to log a couple cycles, your old ones will all still be there, PeriodTracker just continues analyzing trends from where you left off. It’s seriously the perfect log and forget period diary!

Does the job, could be better

I’ve been using PeriodTracker for years. I’m thinking of trying some other tracking apps because this one isn’t working for me anymore. The interface is not intuitive and is confusing to use. I keep having to figure out how to do basic things because it’s not obvious. I’m tired of all the themes and think they’re outdated, as they haven’t changed in years.

It has all these features that seemed at first like they would be useful. I used to log all my symptoms, and I liked that you could customize the symptom fields. But that doesn’t actually get tracked or go on a calendar for you to see. There’s nothing to notify you, “Hey, you might get this symptom today because you usually do around this time.” You’d have to swipe all the way back to that day to even see what you logged. What’s the point?

It’s pretty much just good for tracking the days of your cycle, which should be simple, but they make that too complicated and confusing to do. I just feel like after all these years, they could have evolved more, and PeriodTracker could be easier to use. And apps are my obsession, so I don’t normally have a problem figuring out apps.

Nagged for rating

I just started using PeriodTracker so I can’t possibly give a thorough review, but within only 15 minutes of starting I’ve had a pop up request a 5star review 4 times, so fine, here’s my first impulse: It’s not a 5 star app. —It has generic set of features that look ripped off from most of the other dozens of period tracker apps. —While “cute”, the UI looks like a bunch of dead space with very little of the screen being anything more than a wallpaper. —There does not appear to be any data export or import option. —There is no cross platform interaction (I can’t access my data anywhere other than iPhone). —The period tracking isn’t granular, so when noting when my cycle started it’s based on day, not window-of-time (IE:morning, afternoon, etc) which makes a huge difference when it comes to symptom prediction. The positive? —It’s not suggesting I pay to rent PeriodTracker in a subscription model of funding. —I appreciate the inclusion of my location’s daily weather.

Tracking since Dec2014

I got this because my period was very irregular and I could never remember when was my last period when asked by the doctor. I liked PeriodTracker because it had great reviews and wasn't excessively decorated with flowers and period paraphernalia. I didn’t want an overly feminine app. This is a wonderfully simple app. I could never predict my period by more than a day, but after tracking it for so long, the tracker is only ever off by a day or so. I also realized that my period isn’t all that irregular. I simply have a 35 day cycle and not 28 ironically enough. I love that I can go back and see the first time I tracked my period four years ago. You can track mood, cervical fluid, period flow, basal body temperature, etc. I’ve only tracked my period but I plan on tracking my BBT soon. PeriodTracker is great and I highly recommend it.

I wanted to like this

I'm the type of person who always has to delete apps to make room on my phone, so I've gone between having PeriodTracker on my phone too months at at a time to weeks or days depending on when I need space. That being said, every time I delete PeriodTracker I essentially had to start over in terms of tracking my period because it wasn't like I remembered all of my periods form previous months, so I had to wait until I had about 3 new periods for PeriodTracker to get back on track. PeriodTracker is also very glitchy, most recently I had it on my phone for about 3 months and I went back to it to check it and it kept crashing which forced me to delete it. I first I thought this was no biggie since I had set up my email for data recollection but the website I was supposed to verify my email with apparently doesn't exist anymore? PeriodTracker is beautiful when it operates correctly but as of right now I will be using a different app because they're are way too many problems with this one.

absolutely love this app!

out of all the period tracking apps that I've tried, this is by far the best. it's very accurate and I've been using it for over 4 years, it's yet to disappoint. the themes are very easy on the eyes, it's very easy to navigate PeriodTracker after a couple uses you'll get used to it. one thing that i like it that it keeps track of your past periods and also gives you a vey calculated estimate of the next 12 periods which is 85% of the time very accurate - how can it be 100%? we are human, so our bodies are subject to change after all! but all in all, I did take the time to leave a review because I am absolutely i love with PeriodTracker and you won't be disappointed if you try it :) PLUS it's free 😂 what else do I need to say to convince you? LOL

I am a starter

I only just started my period a couple of days ago so I am still learning what to do and how things work but I am also a swimmer and it is good to know when my period is coming and if I need to grab a pad or tampon so having PeriodTracker really helps me with my everyday schedule, this is just so amazing and I love PeriodTracker so I would suggest downloading it now especially if you need to start keeping track! Also it has a nice feature that let’s you keep track of cravings, feelings, location, etc, and it really just makes me feel better that I can have a app that is like, Hey your period is coming soon get ready or if I get it early I can spell it I got my period early or late and how long it was. I really love PeriodTracker it helps me more and more everyday!

Confusing Interface, But Great Otherwise

I’ve been using PeriodTracker on & off for a few years. I finally decided that I don’t want a period tracker that demands to know about my flow every day I’m on my period because it’s annoying and then I get stressed out trying to figure out how heavy my period was that day. That’s the main reason I will continue to use PeriodTracker, though I have a hard time finding a month calendar view (or even a chart of some sort - anything to easily see when my past periods were!) I wish the interface was more intuitive. I’m a computer science major at my university so it’s not like I’m technologically illiterate. I could figure it out if I really wanted to - but I have a bad memory and I don’t want to have to figure it out approx once a month for the rest of my life!

Totally recommend!

This is the best app for tracking periods. It really helps you when your on your periods and even when your not on your period. When I get massive headaches this helps me track them so I see how often I get them. It’s also very useful if you lose your phone or if someone is on your phone you can create a 4 digit password so that people can’t go on to PeriodTracker , so it’s not embarrassing for them to see it. Also the fact the it’s called p tracker so it doesn’t actually say what it’s tracking and so also when people are on your phone they don’t really know what that means. So this is the best app EVER! And also you can select if your planning on getting pregnant you can make that a setting. So totally recommend!

Companies need to stop updating the layout of things

When I first started using this, it was very simple; not a million things to accidentally swipe or click on. The new layout is a pain in the neck & I have to be very careful how I touch the screen. Also, after months of being way out of sync when I was initially forced to delete it, I recently managed to adjust it. The support site is basically non-existent.

Seriously, fix this thing so if a/t happens to the information it’s easily recovered; it’s unnecessary having something that flips around, swipes up, etc. Make it not confusing. The only reason I gave 3 starts and not 2 is for only having to give my “start and end” date (& managing to figure out how to sync my calendar again, the “calendar sync” feature is helpful). This application is only a little more convenient than physically writing it down.

Keeps crashing/doesn’t open

EDIT: I fixed it and it launches!!!! 1. Back up your phone to iCloud. 2. Delete app from phone (not uninstall but where the apps jiggle and you get the x). 3. Download from the Cloud and click the “I want to restore” option. 4. Log in and sync. VOILA! 😁😁. All my 6 years worth of data was there 😁😁🎉🎉😁😁

All of a sudden PeriodTracker isn’t opening on either my iPhone or iPad 😭. I’ve been using PeriodTracker for years with no issues and now it won’t even open - it just crashes to the background. PLEASE FIX!! I have too much data/info to lise😭😭. Before these issues, it worked GREAT!!!!

Glitchy! 😡

Iv been using apps, like everyone else, since forever. But this is my first review, because PeriodTracker is hella glitchy.
Iv had PeriodTracker on my phone for a few years now. But it has a glitch where it starts marking days as my period! I log in, and it has 3 weeks of periods marked, that I didn't do! I could manually go in and remove each one, but its not intuitive.
The calendar doesn't have the month at the top anymore, but instead when you scroll it pops up in the middle of the screen for a second.
I dont get regular periods anymore due to a surgery. So the fertility markers on my calendar are an annoyance, and once again, make that app difficult to navigate.
I tried logging in, to correct my settings, and now its not accepting my email. Im done. Im moving on to another app that is more popular. I gave it 2 stars, for what it used to be.

Simple & Effective

This simple period tracking app is great for women like me who have slightly irregular periods, or who just forget when it’s their time of the month! (Lol bc I do all the time.)

It lets you track your flow levels & your daily symptoms, which I appreciate as I experience a multitude of symptoms during my period. It shows you your past & predicted months’ start-end dates for your cycle.
You can also track if you’ve been intimate & it will show you when you are most likely to be fertile (useful whether you’re trying to get pregnant or not).

My only issue with PeriodTracker is sometimes it has small glitches, like not letting me end my period cycle (one time it was listed as having been 3 weeks long bc every time I tried to pick the EndDate, it wouldn’t let me).
I’ve been using PeriodTracker for a couple years & I’ve found that usually the glitches are fixed though, so I continue to use it.

Overall, a very simple, useful app. Would definitely recommend it. It doesn’t take up much space on your phone, either! Very happy about that :)

A really thoughtful app

PeriodTracker is thorough, elegant and thoughtful. I’m always on the lookout for the next best thing for period tracking, an app that gives me all the features I want without all the clutter (communities/forums, articles) etc. Just me and my period. I love the journal feature, and the logging process is easy. I can use this to track weight, set reminders for pills, jot down notes, add a picture and - here’s a new one - even add a song to play when you open up PeriodTracker . You can customize your mood icons and choose from many themes. Just wow! I am switching to PeriodTracker.

12

I’m 12 and at first PeriodTracker seemed a little complicated to use, but then I got used to it and it’s not very hard. It’s a good app for teens cause it doesn’t tell you all this stuff about pregnancy when you shouldn’t even be worrying about that when your a teenager or a little younger than that. I tried PeriodTracker Clue but it seemed to much of a fertility tracker when I just wanted to only track my period. I love how I can read some peoples problems on the community page cause if I am dealing with the same problem I can see the advice that others have. I love PeriodTracker. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

I don't love it

Edit: It really needs to allow you to change or turn off your passcode even if you forgot it. I have been authenticating with Touch ID for so long that I forgot my passcode, but without that old one I can't do anything to fix it. Sometimes my Touch ID doesn't work right and then I'm locked out of my app. Wish they'd fix this issue!

Original: The coded calendar where I can see symbols for my cycle at a glance is helpful, but I don't like that it only predicts ovulation dates based on what is essentially the rhythm method. Cycle length, and therefore date of ovulation, can change month to month, so I wish I could change it from "predicted" to "actual" ovulation based on observable physical signs. I work around it but it's annoying. Haven't found anything else better though.

So helpful!

PeriodTracker is really easy to use and aesthetically pleasing as well. I love that you can add symptoms and additional details though I personally don’t use those features.

It seems that it predicts your next period based on an average of how long it’s been in between all of your periods so one suggestion I have is to base the prediction on average time in between, but only for the past year so that recent data may be utilized. Or even better, allow the user to choose different options for prediction. Overall though this is a great app!

Nice design but lacking in reports

I really liked PeriodTracker because it offered the tracking I wanted: moods, symptoms, and a notes section. The report/chart feature is a little odd, though. There is no chart for symptoms over time and no chart that compares tracking categories in relation to each other. Also, the ovulation calendar makes NO sense. The only dates marked are the beginning of each cycle. The ovulation is just shaded in on a grid between these two dates, with no labels that correspond with actual calendar days. The X axis only shows what day of the cycle you're in (1,2,3 -28 or so) and it is confusing to have the actual date of first day of your cycle (May 23rd or whatever) be between 28 and 1.

Amazing

I’m a Pre-Teen, and PeriodTracker is the best yet! I have tried so many, SO MANY, different apps and this is by far the best. I love how it tracks your feelings and cravings, I can look back and see if anything abnormal is happening. It also lets you set reminders, set a password, change the background or style. And guess what! It doesn’t cost ANY money, completely free with no charges or adds whatsoever. I love how it comes up on my screen as P-tracker so if anyone, specifically my dad, goes on my phone it really helps. Would definitely recommend.

Almost perfect

After toying around in the settings for awhile, I love the customizability of PeriodTracker, but it’s still lacking. I have tracked 6 periods and 5/6 have been 3 days long, but it is still predicting my future period to be 4 days long and this confuses me. Still no updates regarding my previous review ☹️ Which was this: As someone who is trying to also see how my symptoms and moods line up with my cycle, I really wish there was a way that I could see just my symptoms/moods lined up in a calendar (even just the little icons!). This would also be extremely helpful to be able to go to the doctor and say, “I’ve been getting ________ for 2 weeks out of the month every month, is there something I can do about that?” Whether it relates to your cycle or not, it’s a great way to track a lot about your health. It being an app gives it that possibility of organizing info easier than writing it down, which, if PeriodTracker doesn’t improve, I will go back to just keeping a log...

Great app!!

I never have an issue with PeriodTracker, on my iPhone 6s Plus. I love how it keeps track of my cycle which every woman needs, as well as a predictor and TTC feature for those ready for a bump. I whip this thing out at every doctors visit when asked that fateful question - "when was the first day of your last period?" I'm ready with the date, time if I want, flow, moods, cramp intensity, etc. there are also flow charts/ line graphs for your while cycles, or just your period. I have endometriosis and fibroids so I really need to keep track, and watch for inconsistencies- PeriodTracker is extremely helpful.

Amazing!

So I just started my period for the first time, and this has helped me a lot. You answer some questions at the beginning, and I didn’t want to become pregnant so I pressed the no button. Now, the screen isn’t crowded with things about ovulation because I don’t want to see that! Unlike the other 7 apps I tried. It’s also helping me understand what to expect, when I will likely get another, and is very simple to use. It also isn’t overcrowded with flowers and pink and period stuff. So it’s like a regular app, that gives you reminders, and I’m in love!

Love!

I love PeriodTracker! I've been a dedicated user for about 3 years! I love that you can synch it with your calendar, so you know exactly what day to expect your TOM. For me, PeriodTracker has been spot on perfect. I cannot emphasize it enough. It's. Been. Perfectly. Accurate!

For all the reviewers complaining, they've clearly never reached out to the developers to ask for help regarding their glitches. It's easy to complain, but you'd be happier if you'd spent the energy getting help.

I had a glitch and my app had overlapping words, and wouldn't average my numbers.

Guess what? I reached out instead of bashing this wonderful app! Shout out to: Roselyn!

She helped me step by step with PeriodTracker and suggested I adjust the input. Badda-bing badda-boom! Fixed. Now I'm happier than ever with PeriodTracker!

I've used PeriodTracker to track my TOM.
I used PeriodTracker to coordinate my wedding around my TOM.
I used PeriodTracker for planning my honeymoon and any other vacation.
PeriodTracker helped me when TTC.

Love it

I downloaded three apps today, first one I didn't like at all, it wasn't easy to use and didn't ask any info. The second was PeriodTracker and I was wowed right away. Last one I decided to check out just in case and it was better than the first but still sucked, wasn't welcoming or easy to work with. I upgraded this one right away just because it was such a good app off the bat; I never do this. So far it's an awesome app and I'm really happy with it. Day 1 of Blood Death, I hope all goes well... with PeriodTracker . ;)
